1. The rightful restoration of terraces to the Barclay end in the lower tier would help!   People stand up most of the time in the Barclay anyway!   Whatever the person is on saying that we never had a propor Huckerby song in his wrongfully cut short spell with us I don''t know - The Oh Huckerby song was a proper and great anthem in which to kneel down to the great man!
 2.
And all the moaning fans who clog up this message board stop hogging the season tickets and give them to fans who actually like to get behind their team!
While we have sold our quota of season tickets regularly over the last few years theres always some for sale every season as not everyone reapplies. Anyone that is so desperate to get a season ticket at Carrow Road can do so if they put there names on the waiting list, so don''t go on about letting apreciative fans have season tickets!                                                   - This sounds similar to fans who go to a handful of away games every year and moan about regular fans not being very enthusiastic when they have been to most games and are sick and tired by the time the ''Johnie not oftens'' decide to go to an away game!
 3. Hoolahan would be a good addition to the squad but whether he''ll do what Hucks did for the club we''ll hopefully find out in the next few seasons!       - Even if he does sign and and even if we sign any other decent players letting Hucks go when he was still good enough will still be a c**p decision in my eyes and many others!
 4. Atmosphere is still quite good compared to others but it would improve if we something to cheer and shout about on the pitch!
 5. We all took it for granted just how good we were during the 80''s and early 90''s and that we''d always be that good!
 6.
and that he will official sign on Monday.
- We ope!!
 7.

There seems a lot of indifference amoungst City fans about the possibility of losing Russell, which is surprising really considering he came third in our Player of the Season vote!
3rd during a season when we missed relegation by one game. Nothing to write home about. Was missing in action for large parts of the season. Average champ player.
Ya having a laugh or what?!                            - We certainly missed him when he was suspended for 5 games. Russells qualities are his tenacity, strength and battling ability which stops the other team playing. In fact he a player who you know even if hes having a bad game will always get stuck so to say the opposite is ludicrous. Selling the 10 good games a season (if that!), can''t be arsed half the time Etuhu for an over inflated price and replacing him with Russell whos better and cost less was one of the few good moves Peter Grant made while at the club. If Russell was to leave we''d have a massive gap to fill in the middle. One of the Divisions better midfielders!
 8. Its still very early in the close season but I do fear we won''t be signing most of the decent ones we''ve been linked with though I hope Roeder proves me wrong!
 9. This just proves what I''ve been saying for a while now - We are very well run in every department except the football side which is what we all want more than anything!   Get the football side right and then watch the club take off!
 10. If he did, it would be inciting a massive revolt - fans are already getting p***ed of at the underachievements of the football team. Roeders tinkering, playing rubbish loan players and leaving established ones out (Russell getting dropped for Gibbs one prime example) and getting rid of Hucks when he still has at least 1 season left in him has made him drop in many fans estimations.   Lets be realistic - We only avoided relegation by 3 pts. We beat a woeful QPR in our last home game to secure our Championship status. Had we of lost this game then lost at Hillsborough we would of been relegated!   The squad was painfully thin last season. This was before the loan players went back, Hucks was released and all the deadwood was released which is the current state of the squad as we speak. - Roeder would be even more inept than I already think he is, if he let go Russell who was one of our best performers last season with no guarantee we''d get a suitable replacement. We''ve seen over the last 3 seasons much speculation on top targets of whom we''ve been unable to get next to none of them if we''re being honest!   The board look like they are trying to cut costs what with the staff cuts and Huckerbys departure probably being nothing about his football ability. Are they going to provide Roeder with enough money to build up the squad which needs at least 7-8 new players that decent and not just anyone?   The board have become complacent thinking the club will always get 24000+ for home games whatever the teams doing, however small the investment in the team and that we are too big a club too go down. Both are wrong cause I think another struggling season will see crowds drop and look no further than Leicester or Leeds for examples of big clubs in the 3rd tier who thought they would never be in their current position. I fear failiure to improve squad and keep decent players would leave us as one of the favourites to go down!
 11. Ridiculous suggestion!   Joes good but wasn''t ever good enough to play for our 1st team and if we''d of kept him he''d of still been without a 1st team performance!   I''ve seen him at youth and reserve games when many others harping on about him probably never saw him play. He had potential but believe me, he never looked that great!   Its great for him that hes made the England squad but thats only cause of injuries, others on holilday and a general lack of genuine English goalkeeping talent in our Country. In fact I''d say its a sad time for English football when a goalkeeper whos never played higher than the 4th Division gets picked for our national squad!   I hope he keeps on improving and Peterborough sell him for loads of dosh so we can get some more income from him!
 12.

Russell was one of our best players last season so selling him for £500,000 would be a silly move!
If that would be silly, what does that make releasing Hucks on a free?
Totally ridiculous and it is!   Russell is better than Etuhu cause he has more good games than bad games. Etuhu could turn it on but only 10 times a season!   Russell will run through walls for City, Etuhu couldn''t be arsed half the time!
 13.

If Pearce was to come back he''d only be back up to Doc and Shack cause at the end of the day Pearce wasn''t as wonderful as some made him out to be though he was the best out the clutch of youngsters we got on January 1st and he isn''t as good as the much often unfairly critiscised Doc and Shacks.
Are you seriously suggesting that Pearce was better than Bertrand?
No not at all! Bertrand came to Norwich before January 31st when we signed messrs Pearce, Gibbs and Henry. Bates signed as well but I don''t count him in the young category like the beforementioned 3!   Pearce was not as good as Doc or Shacks. People talk about them 2 as if they are completely useless. Yes they are poor going forward or scoring goals but as stoppers most of the time they are more than adequate. If they were as good as some seem to think they should be then they would not be playing for Norwich. People are very blinkered I''m afraid!   Pearce has potential without a doubt but he was slow, not strong enough and is not great with the ball at his feet. His lack of pace and strangth is why the Doc and Shacks are better!
 14.
no-i''d rather stay a small provincial club happy to wallow in our champs comfort zone.  for me, the excitement of flirting  with relegation to league 1 each year gives me a perverse pleasure akin to being tied up and soundly beaten!!! to think NCFC could be promoted is simply too horrid..>
Yes thats the other side of the arguement to counteract those saying "I don''t want to be part of the Premiership money circus, would rather be in the good old Championship"   While we all know that whoever goes up is going to be battling just to be competitive let alone stay up surely thats better than what we''ve had to watch to this season?   Don''t give us the old look at how crap Derby were this season cause that was an exceptionaly crap effort, in fact the worst ever in the history of the premiership. We got relegated in 05 cause we wern''t good enough yet we done 3 times better than what Derby did last season.   And anyway the Championship is slowly but surely becoming a league thats going to be dominated by rich club and clubs with Premiership parachute payments.
 15.
i''ll come and shout abuse and whinge from start to finish... if a youngster comes on i shant give him a chance but boo him mercilessly... I will then phone Neil Adams and say "i remember the 59ers..." like most City standers do jas :)
No doubt theres some morons with this mentality in th e city stand but not myself!   I''ll give youngsters a chance if they show they have something and are worthy of their 1st team place unlike Gibbs, Jarvis bros etc.   I don''t ring up Cabbagecall cause alot of the old moaners on there don''t even go to the games!
 16.

Why is that Scott, they have openly admitted they prepared for relegation when we were promoted to the Premiership.
Every club budgets for the worst case scanario in terms of results on the field in case they have a bad season so they can cope with it. A club that didn''t have this policy was Leeds who will embarking on a 2nd campaign in the 3rd Division next season!   The club have had a hold back mentality for as long as I can remember but don''t actively go looking for failiure on the field, just they try to do it on the cheap when sometimes speculating can reap great benefits such as signing Hucks which played a big part in us winning the Division 1 in 04.   Just that sometimes things don''t work out which in turn costs money. The board kept Worthy at least a year to long in the hope that he could replicate his earlier success. The board would never of appointed Grant if they would of foreseen how unsuitable for the managers job he turned out to be.   Hindsights a wonderful thing and no ones got a crystal ball!
yeah - sure we speculated to  accumulate when the fans had shelled out with the board to via the share issue to fund the purchases that took us up.  having got up -  delia came up with her old prudence with fudge all slogan, and we''ve been backpedalling ever since.  crystall balls - this lot have got brass necks and are teflon coated i know that much.   how the hell are they getting away with it???
Couldn''t agree more!
 17. Russell was one of our best players last season so selling him for £500,000 would be a silly move!   Russell also has a lot of affinity for the club and it was ridiculous seeing him on the bench when ''Bambi on ice'' Keiron Gibbs was picked in front of him.   Russell is a better player than the guy he replaced Etuhu who we sold for the extortionate price of £1.5M - Thats the sort of figure I''d want if we were to sell Russell!
 18. I bet the golden goal sellers are ''bricking it'' at the moment!   I personally have serious doubts about Roeder being successfull at the club but the way he is getting rid of staff, the club is going through a massive turnaround and if Roeder was to leave anytime during next season then the club would really be in turmoil. It seems its going to take more than one season for Roeder to come up with the goods if thats ever going to happen.!   Much of Norwich success in the 80 and early 90''s was down to contnuity of players and staff. Roeders certainly taking a different path now, just hope he knows what hes doing!

 20. Too expensive, probably too far up his own back side to want to play for us in our current predicament and I''d seriously doubt whether he''d actually do any good for in the Championship looking at the amount of 1st team games hes played in the last 3-4 years!
 21.
Threads like this are speculation based on conjecture. Simple fact of the matter is we don''t know what the finances are like at Carrow Road beyond the fact that we know we don''t have an awful lot of money. Speculating beyond that is in my view pointless.
Thats what football supporters have done for years and years mate and will not ever stop!   Its what feeds forums like these!
 22. Would rather have Taylor cause he was the complete article which Pearce is some way from beign although he has potential. Taylor undoubtedly improved the team while Pearce who done alright certainly didn''t!
