1. I was so glad that against ColU on Saturday Roeder finally stops messing around with certain loan players who aren''t good enough and different formations and played with his best available 11 in a formation which worked so well for us in our 13 game unbeaten run just after Roeder arrived!   But if we''d of stuck with this workable formation and picked our best availbale 11 players during the recent lean spell then I think it wouldn''t of been such a lean spell and we''d already be safe, maybe even still pushing for the last play off spot!   Keep it simple Glen like we did against ColU till the end of the season, stick with players who are good enough and formations that work and we should be safe well before the last game at Sheff Wed!
2.
Lets not get carried away people! we beat a team who are pretty much already down 5-1 today.... Neither team looked that convincing at the back and lets face ti although we scored 5 goals we still gave them a hell of a lot of chances.. it wasnt our best performance either... Had we of played like that against a Stoke, Brizzol City, Watford or WBA we wouldnt of won.... we''d of been played off the park!!! we need, imo, 1 more win to be definately safe.. dont listen to Radio Norfolk who said its "mathematically" possible we can still go down.. it is Possible we will drop without mathmatics, we have enough games left to go be sucked back in.... Wheres that win going to come from? looking through our next few games id bet QPR at home.. our next 3 games are crucial i think.. we could end up right back down there fi we dont build on today! jas :)
Precisely but I''d say that only 3 more pts to the end of the season would leave us right on the brink so I think we need 6 more pts!
3. We made errors defensively particularly their goal which was avoidable if Shacks would of let the ball go over his head cause then Lisbie would of been offside but we wern''t by any means a shambles and ColU''s rather inept defence was a major reason for our 5 goals!
4.
I think it''s praise where praise is due. Roeder doesn''t appear to be like Grant. He ranted at everything the players didn''t do. Also, it would appear that the criticism in Jamies'' case, has worked a treat. He has been quiet about a lot of the players I feel. Maybe he has a good handle on what gets peoples'' arses into gear? All I can say is that I posted a really negative comment on his appointment (Roeders'') and I am eating my words. Let''s face it, no one he''s brought in has been here for the ride. I like that. Granted, it''s all loan stuff, but don''t panic! I sent a letter (recorded delivery) to a feller I know of who owns a software company. I said he needs to broaden his horizons and embrace football (the real version). Me and Bill Gates, we go way back! :P
Really?   I''d say that messrs Gibbs and Henry have been here for the ride cause they have contributed bugger all to the cause and are plainly not good enough at this moment in time!   Yes we were playing a ColU side now almost certainties for relegation and very poor defensively but I think its no coincidence we played with our best 11 meaning no Gibbs and Pearce relegated to the bench, that definately helped!   People keep on about the sitters Jamie Curetons missed and I''d agree theres been a few but not that many cause we don''t actually create that many ''sitters'' and strikers much better than Cureton miss chances!   A great deal of Curetons goals have come form penalties and half chances that hes had the ability to put in the net!   Curetons 14 goals are at 6-12 short of what we''d of expected but in a season where we looked like relegation certainties until October and we are a team that puts little pressure on the oppositions 6 yard areas, 14 goals with the likelyhood of more isn''t a failure by any means!   His goal tally looks good beside the £2M hotshots we bid for in the summer and would of had if they had wanted to come here - Sharp - 3 or 4 goals and Eastwood - I think about 5 at the most! This reminds me of last season when a few of the ''must moan about something'' brigade insisted that Earnshaw missed to many chances yet his goal tally for last season was 19 goals in just over half a season and his total career goals for City is something like 27 goals in 41 apps!    To be honest I''d of seriously considered dropping Cureton for yesterdays game but fair play to Roeder for not!   I''d be very surprised and dissapointed if Cureton isn''t at the club next season!
5. If we won the bl**dy league they''d still be moaners! - Fact of life!   We must remember Hucks was playing out of position on the right when we all know his best position is on the left!   Even if hes not 100% or maybe losing his pace and being played out of position he still breezed past their right back to cross for Curetons first goal!   When he was moved to his best position on the left it was no coincidence he became more effective and threatening!   A Hucks not as good as he used to be is still much better than the out of their depth young loanees that we''ve seen lately!    - Still a huge asset and still has that extra dimension that gives opposing teams plenty to ponder about!   Hucks is definately worth another one year deal!
6.
the time has come for roeder to say sod off to the likes of wenger etc and start picking our best team instead of playing second rate loanees all the time.   in my opinion the team should be : marshall, otsemobor, bertrand, pearce, doherty, croft, russell, fotheringham, huckerby, evans, cureton. subs gilks, dublin, spillane, pattison, martin.   im sure this will create debate but everyone has an opinion.
Your stating the bleeding obvious and I agree totally!   Yes injuries and suspensions come into the reakoning but always we should pick our best 11 especially in the current predicament we find ourselves in!   I also agree with another poster who says that Camara should be playing regularly. Hes in the main done well at left back, wants to stay with the club and is better than Bertrand at LB!
7.

If we''re offered silly money similar to what Etuhu went for last summer then sell otherwise keep him! Croft can do it but rarely produces (great crosser when he actually does them) all though he has been at times this year one of our better players!
Etuhu went for the minimum amount as a buy-out - though admittedly this was also "silly money" given that he''s rubbish. How can you say Croft rarely produces but is a great crosser?  Tony Daley was a better crosser than Crofty is.  If you count, in a game, the number of crosses that (a) land perfectly on the head of the centre-back, (b) sail out of play or (c) go straight to the keeper, you''ll be in double figures swiftly.
I can say Croft is a great crosser cause I''ve seen him do it as we all have on the very rare occasions he does decide to cross!   A year before we did sell Etuhu for the ludicrous £1.5M you''d of been sectioned for suggesting we''d get that much for someone who only had 1 good game in 4!
8.
This entire thread is full of the exact people who are the problem with football today. You are not fans of our club. Go support Chelsea. No one wants you here. Especially you wiz . . . your too old and just want some people to talk to so you wind evryone up the wrong way. Go bowls or something.
What a stupid comment!   I say things as I see them good or bad and have seen them for the many years I''ve been following Norwich home and away! Been to over 75 league grounds and countless others home and abroad for friendlies, cup games etc so I''d say I''ve some idea of what a good or bad Norwich team looks like!   I support Norwich cause this is where I''m from and would never dream of defecting to any other club!   I hope Roeder gets things right and has done well until recently but anyone who thinks all is rosy with the team and there is no danger of relegation is blinkered to say the least!   I''d agree that sometrimes Wizard goes overboard with his critiscisms but I have to say I agree with most of his comments on this thread!
9. Gibbs is still not good enough for what we want to stay in this Division!   Croft although more often than not has no end product is still a threat to the opposition something that Gibbs has not been!   A big reason we lost the Bury replay and were crap in the 1st game was because Roeder wanted to have a look at Ryan Jarvis whos never going to be good enough for championship football and the woefully out of form Chris Martin thus a half hearted approach which seemed to unsettle the team, weakening the team to a level that Bury could have a serious go at us!   Stop buggering about Glen and get back to basics and play your best available line up and formation! This means playing a team with players who will fight and have a go and try to force the issue all vital elements needed in our forthcoming relegation battle. Therefore a lightweight loan player with no fight who thinks that cause hes from Arsensal hes above us shouldn''t even come into the reakoning!
10. Ever since we got the deadline loan signings in 2 of whom messrs Gibbs and Henry are way below the standard we need in this Division (no better than some of our young players Roeder so obviously doesn''t rate) and the aparent clause in their deals that insists we have to play them which has meant dropping better players and Roeders seemingly experimental nature (with next season in mind I suspect) when picking the line ups and formations thus killing all continuity and familiarity things have gone backwards for us. Our only win lately was at home to Barnsley who are poor and never beat us merely papered over the cracks cause we were poor that day as well!   So yes I''d agree entirely that the management have got complacent and considered us safe when we as is becoming more aparent  by the game we certainly are not!   Back to basics Glen - Please play your best 11, 2 strikers and 2 wingers or either Bertrand or Pattison on left with Hucks coming on in 2nd half as an impact player! OR ELSE LEAGUE 1 LOOMS!
11. The turnaround was great but it will count for nowt if we go down!   I feel Roeder has got to be given time but his recent decision making has been way off the mark even if he will deny it and growl at Chris Goreham or anyone else that dares to suggest so to his face or in the media!   I look at recent seasons when we were successful - 2001/02- got to play off final and the 2003-04 season when we won the Divsion by 8 clear points!   Those two seasons we didn''t have big squads but we kept a settled line up, settled formation regardless of who we were playing, only had decent loan players who could add something to team and were better than what we had (unlike now with the painfully out of his depth Gibbs and the lesser seen Henry) and played with our best available 11 players!   All these are simple ethics that will work the majority of the time!   It never ceases to amaze me why so called football experts the managers complicate the game to such an extent that negative results are the outcome!
12. Non football activites the club is excellent but the football side, the major element of a professional football club could and should be doing much better so I agree with Wizards sentiments!   BUT untill a suitable investor(s) comes along then we have to go along with whos at the helm now!
13. Its understandable fans being livid at our current situation, I know Iam but we must all really get behind the team and save any moanings about crap loanees, changing line ups etc till after the game!   Lets get behind the boys big time next week against ColU!
14. If we''re offered silly money similar to what Etuhu went for last summer then sell otherwise keep him!   Croft can do it but rarely produces (great crosser when he actually does them) all though he has been at times this year one of our better players!
15. The area is probably called the snake pit cause from the late 90''s it has been occupied by vociferous Canary fans, mainly old Barclay terrace fans fed up up of the parts of the Barclay lower becoming a teenybobber area!
16. Bertrand has done well, not brilliant but certainly more than justifys bringing him in!   I wouldn''t be against him coming back next season as long as he wasn''t at left back cause I don''t think hes strong enough in this league in that position!
17. Decent loan players who add something to the team I accept but the last 2 we''ve seen Gibbs and Henry should never play for our 1st team again and are no better than the likes of Eagle or Rossi Jarvis!
18. Great amazing levels of support considering we have seriously underachieved since winning the Div1 title in 2004!   A big reason for the high sales is cause the season ticket are still very, very competitive, so cheap. My Barclay lower tier ST works out at under £13 a game if I go to every game. You can''t moan about that!   The only trouble is at the moment we need a bigger capacity to enable everyone that wants to go can do so. We are in danger of floating support drifting of into other interests cause they can''t get into see the games. That upper tier for the City stand needs doing but unfortunately while we are in the championship it probably won''t happen!

20. Shackell did not deserve to get dropped particularly for a loan player we aren''t going to keep and isn''t as, good as Shacks!   Pearce looks like he has the quality to develop into a good centreback in time and didn''t disgrace himself (indeed his debut was very promising) but isn''t ready for a regular Championship place yet!
21. I hope so cause 18300 now and most likely the 20,000 season ticket will be let down big time if Glen doesn''t doesn''t get the finances he so obviously needs!   No doubt there will be a budget but as one previous poster suggests throwing money at it doesn''t guarantee success!
22. The two woeful loan players (Gibbs and Henry) are certainly not much if no better than some of our young players who are also not good enough!   Massive job ahead for Glen Roeder!
23.
I read a lot of forums on variouse subjects and this is one of the most negative forums i have the pleasure of reading. Our beloved NCFC was in the deep dodo until Glen came along. We all think we KNOW the best team to pick and can all rant and rave when he picks what he thinks is his best team and it does not perform. We should be very gratefull to Glen for choosing to come to Norwich and dig us out the hole we were in.
Yes I''m grateful to Glen Roeder and do trust his judgement most of the time but hes human and makes mistakes (notably the 2 piss poor loan signings and having to play them as part of the deal) which fans being fans we''ll comment on!   Find me a clubs forum which is totally devoid of any negativity and you''ll be able to find me that winning lotto ticket as well!
24. I''d agree that Cureton hasn''t done as well as we''d of hoped this season and I''m sure that he''d say the same thing as well!   But he was playing in a piss poor team until November which sapped everyones confidence and since then we don''t create hardly any out and out chances and don''t threaten the oppositions 6 yard box very much which are areas where Mr Cureton thrives on. Face it if we had Van Nistelroy playing up front for us he''d struggle to score cause we don''t create much!   A lot of Curetons goals like the Barnsley one and last nights equalizer at Watford were not chances just half chances that a quality striker that Cureton is made the most of. If you analyse Evans goals then you''d see that most of them are the same - half chances well taken by a quality striker!   The critiscism of Cureton has been in my opinion largely unfair!
