I broke my toe one evening when I stubbed it going to bed, then reset it (it had snapped and the top, broken half was at an odd angle, not just a fracture). I have to admit to being a bit the worse for wear and didn’t realise what I had done until the morning. As FJPSOB says, it tends to hurt more the older you get rather than at the time.

I was thinking something similar but wondering how much the language barrier should matter. Depends on how technical it gets I guess. And there’s the question whether Emi needs that passion to play as he does - if you nullify it, does that blunt his skill?

For me, Emi on form is one of the key things that could keep us up. Teemu is probably the player we can least afford to lose, without Emi it will be very hard.

I was right next to the corner exit to the concourse and it looked as if it was on the limits but acceptable to me, I remember hearing some shouts that it was outside and disagreeing.

I think Krul is crucial for us because of his experience. We have a back four with an average ages of what, 22? He is the wise old (relatively!) head who keeps them on track, and with a different keeper I believe we would have concede many more. Which is probably the major reason why we haven’t seen Fahrmann take Tim’s place.

They both do. As soon as the applause for Maddison at the corner started I was worried it would come back and bite us. FTW has some justification in what he says about Lakey’s overreaction but equally he 1) shouldn’t be surprised if he takes the p*ss and Lakey responds, and 2) is exaggerating how many of us applauded Madders. Now boys, how about you both agree we all want the same thing as City supporters, shake hands and stop clogging up this board looking for the last word? It’s tiresome for the rest of us (by which I mean me).

TBH, I thought the Leicester support pretty normal, maybe a little on the quiet side. I’ve certainly seen several quieter sets of home fans.

Well it doesn’t look like Drmic is much of a stand-in for Pukki, we could do worse. Although if he is making a significant contribution for Wednesday, we won’t we able to afford him sadly.

I have to say Emi frustrated me several times and especially for the last ten to fifteen minutes. At his best, he’s far too good a player for a club like us. At his worst, he’s a passenger, lying in the ground or standing with his hands on his hips looking aggrieved. He spent several minutes squatting while Leicester attacked near the end of the match and eventually stood up and ambled back towards the action, far too late to help. Maybe he was genuinely injured but he’s cried wolf too many times sadly. Contrast him with Todd whose work rate was - again - immense today.

I can confidently say we can do MUCH better than that.
