2. Although, I think people here are missing a key point.... Olsson has not handed in a transfer request! His agent has come out saying he wants to move and bad mouthing the club for not selling him cheap, but there is no report that he has handed in a transfer request. (Only a headline in the Essex Chronicle, which has started rumours, but no facts in the story to back up the baiting headline) If he does hand one in, it will waive his right to various bonuses and staggered payments, likely to be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds. That is why his agent is going to the press to try and force it, to get the move and keep the bonuses.
 3.

Yes very quick sale.
Lol. It was put on the market two years ago. [:D]
It was the 6th offer over those 2 years, with manager and players citing the uncertainty over the future of the club as one of the causes of the downfall - but that is possibly an attempt to divert the blame
 4.
Where they get these figures from goodness knows.Maybe they have someone ITK ? [;)]
It tells you on the site... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/511680/Revealed-How-much-each-Norwich-player-earns-week "STARSPORT bring you every Norwich player''s wages - according to Football Manager 2016." Great journalism....looking at a computer game and publishing it a news story.
 5.
------------------Ruddy-------------- Pinto---Bennett----Klose---Olsson ----------Tettey-----Howson-------- --Redmond--Naismith----Brady--- ---------------Bamford--------------- Subs: Rudd, Martin, Bassong, O Neil, Hoolahan, Jarvis, Mbokani - Think Pinto definitely needs another chance now he has had longer to bed in. His pace could be crucial in a game like this. As others have said, pace in attack will be crucial to hitting them on the break.
I would have similar, maybe Jerome with Bamford on the bench instead of Mbokani. Although I do like Bassong, I think his lack of pace my be a problem against Leicester, as their game is based upon breaking at pace.
 6. http://www.teamtalk.com/news/worst-pl-xi-season-man-utd-player-included? Not a surprise it is 2 defenders and a defensive midfielder.
 7. I would say wait. Even if he does have a great second half of the season. It tells you something about a player if, after settling in to a team, linking well with his team mates and becoming first choice, he would rather go to a club where there is so much unknown for maybe 15-20k a week more. The type of wages he would get at Norwich would not be insignificant, and another 3 year contract at Norwich would set him up nicely for retirement. If he does well at the club, but doesn''t want to be here...good riddance. If he does well and wants to sign, great. however this is academically at the moment, as I don''t think his performances so far have generated a queue of clubs, that can pay more than Norwich, wanting to sign him.
 8. Ricky Spanish - "I wish nothing but misery and failure on all the sugar daddy clubs. I don''t care if, even like Bournemouth they don''t spend a fortune" Hasn''t the Norwich owners had to pay players wages, put the money in for transfers and bail out the club with interest free loans? To me that sounds like a "sugar daddy club" that hasn''t spent a fortune.
 9. Those comments aren''t criticising the official, just stating an opinion as to referees should face the media. He could also say that he thought the ref had a bad game. What he can''t do is comment anything that would infer impartiality..."if that was x team it would have been allowed" or " Palace were always going to win with that referee" type of comment would result in a charge.
 10. It will be a good season if we stay above Arsenal
 11.

Under Hughton we had no Plan B. Under Adams we had plans A B C D E etc. with, apparently, no preferred system as it was changed so often. First job - establish a preferred system for the team to play and get players in who can play it as, at the moment, we have half the players seemingly preferring 442 and half more suited to 4231. Have options certainly but starting so many games with different systems has not helped us one little bit.
His prefered system is 4-1-3-13 offensive midfielders quickly supporting the attack.Right and Left backs bomb up and down the wings for 90 minutesNeeds a stiker that can hold up the ball
. So good manager, he only needs 9 outfield players!
 12.
good luck to him , will leave a legend. shame it is to that load of scum. 2.5m is still good money for a ageing squad player.
We need to hold on for a while, at the rate his value is going up we will break all records by transfer deadline day. As I understand it, the Villa offer was about £750k, half way down this thread it was increased to £1.7m, now it is £2.5m...
 13. Agree that Ruddy has to be one of them - especially after watching the cup game.  All the attacking positions I think we have good level of competition, the midfield I don''t think there is a stand out player ahead of everyone else, so the second has to be Bassong.  I think this is partly about him, but more about the lack of depth in defence.
 14.
Bunn 6- seemed to be fairly poor for forst two goals and coupe of very nervy moments. Made three pretty good saves Snodgrass 7- poor first half I thought, but very good second half. Hoolahan 6- disappointed with him. I love Hoolahan, but have the ball away far more than he should have against Bury.
totally agree with you about Bunn. Good reflex save to prevent an own goal, but was caught on his line for the first 2 goals. Would like to have seen him come for the balls when crossed in. Snodgrass, I thought, did well both halves. We had quite a few attacks down the right first half, which Snoddy was key in. I am a big fan of Hoolahan, but think 6 was generous. Too many times losing posetion and muscled off the ball a three times. He just looks like he''s not match fit.
 15.
Disgrace. Surely they could just add padding
They offered that, but he refused to wear it and quit the job.  They didn''t just sack him, it has been misreported.   http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/local/localbrad/10595428.Bradford_City_fans____support_for_mascot_Lenny/?ref=rss   "City Gent mascot, who quit after refusing to wear a ‘Sumo-style suit’..."
 16. Eadie4England: Dean Gerkhen - Bristol City He won the chant of the year from Football365 a few years ago. He had a nightmare game, and the opponents started "You should have stayed in a burger"...which then really took off
 17.
...where I can get my old VHS tapes converted to DVD?
I used this guy to convert all our old cine films to DVD for my parent''s 60th. http://www.videoimpactuk.com/ He is in Loddon, so you don''t have to worry about posting to some warehouse. He was very competitive in price and did a few nice touches, like customised dvd menus for each film using photos. I would definitely recommend him. If you have quite a lot, it may be cheaper to just buy something like this... http://www.maplin.co.uk/vhs-to-dvd-deluxe-341048 and do it yourself.
 18. Here is a slightly different take on valuing a player - with a hint of influence from football manager. Websites like whoscored.com and opta do stats for players.  They come up with a score based upon their influence in the game. What if you were to compare a player with others of a similar score who have transferred recently... For example, Snodgrass was our best player statistically.  The papers/agent stated a figure of £5m. So... Snodgrass is 25, and scored 7.22 on whoscored.com Dembélé is 26 and scored 7.2, last year at 25 he transferred for roughly £15m Juan Mata is 25, scored 7.24 and transferred for £23.5m Bryan Ruiz is 28, scored 7.23 and transferred for £10.6m I know there are a number of other variables - the age of the player, level that they are playing at and length of contract - but it puts a bit more science into the valuation of a player than when someone says ''he is worth at least £12m''
 19. although just seen this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Nielsen   "During the pre-season of 2010–11, in a friendly against English side Leeds United, he made a ''shocking high-footed'' tackle against winger Robert Snodgrass, who was injured and missed the start of the campaign"
 20. I have to say there are some names I agree with, but there are some that can not be described as crap...especially Malky!   Here''s a new one...   david nielsen   During his loan spell he was great, but once he signed a contract went downhill.  However, he was one to really get the crowd going.  I always remember him going in front of the snakepit and making gestures to encourage the chanting.  I don''t think anyone has interacted with the crowd as much as he did.
 21. ok, back to the topic...   Snoddy was signed as not proven in the Premiership, and his contract would probably reflect that.  He has now proven himself, and is also seeing the big name signings coming in - and probably aware of the range of their salary.  Although he is happy at the club, he wants parity in wages, and wants to speak to the manager about it.  It would help his bargaining position if he could show that he is valued and wanted elsewhere.   In steps the agent, a couple of calls around clubs, and reporters, and you have a story in the press.  A few weeks later, the Norwich are delighted to announce they have tied Snodgrass down to an extended contract.   ...but this theory couldn''t happen could it!
 22. Grant Holt > Ricky van Wolfswinkel James Vaughan > Gary Hooper Jed Steer > Carlo Nash Tom Adeyami > Nathan Redmond Marc Tierny > Martin Olsson Korey Smith > Leroy Fer Simeon Jackson > ??? Elliott Ward > ??? I think the only one of those that I am not too happy about is Steer
 23.
has played and scored in the Prem
Except in 63 first team appearances he has not scored a single goal. He has 3 assists in 38 appearances in the Championship and 0 assists in 27 appearances in the PL. To be honest, I wouldn''t say that he is a player that I would be very keen on. He may be ok as a back up, but I think it would be a few years before he is competing for a regular first team place at a PL club - but at 20 still has plenty of time. I don''t think he would chose to leave Chelsea unless he was expecting to be a first team player.
 24. My favourite quotes: "I now see one club who has had the great good fortune to be bankrolled by a very rich man who have clearly got excellent people at the top, and one who appear to be being run by well-meaning amateurs." "I think I can sum it up though by the thought that Ipswich appear to be a club thinking big, and Norwich appear to be a club thinking small."
