I agree that with a fully fit squad, he would probably be on the bench but for people to criticise him is really rather harsh. Given what he was forced to endure under Roeder, the fact that he came back, knuckled down and became a player who now even has a song sung about him is testament to his determination and professionalism. For that reason alone, I will always be a fan of Simon Lappin.

Definitely applaud him. He was a terrific player for us and left on good terms and we got a lot of money for him. He always speaks in complimentary terms about us and didn''t celebrate when he scored for West Ham a couple of seasons ago. The Bellars/Iwan partnership is my favourite Norwich front pairing that I''ve seen.
