Are we forgetting to bounce?
Canary Ascent replied to Canary Ascent's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Any tips GWYMOS? Can I do this in Chrome?? -
A guy near me tried something to this tune yesterday. What do you think? To the tune of ''You are my sunshine''... You are my Surman, My Andrew Surman, Your toes are magic, Just like Zidane, You''ll never know DREW, how much we love YOU While watching our Surman game plan la la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la la etc.... It''s not 100% original but I think it works. Credit to the Saints fans here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qS0gCvLTdio&feature=related Was struggling with the last line so any improvements welcome!

Loans in the window
Canary Ascent replied to Canary Ascent's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Oh right, I thought it was on top of what we had spent/bid in January.Hadn''t really considered that we may have already had this money in the January budget. Makes sense with our bid for Bennett I suppose. -
Does anyone know whether we are able to loan players until the end of the season when the loan window reopens? Or is it just the 28 day emergency loans we can do? The reason I ask is I''m wondering whether we have a deal almost done for someone to come in with a view to signing at the end of the season. A decent striker maybe? I find it unusual that the board have made public the money we have available for transfers with the window not yet open. Aren''t we encouraging other teams to put their prices up? If my calculations are correct we have the seven figure sum Mcnally confirmed we bid for Bennett plus the £2M from Foulger that goes into the playing budget giving at least £3M to be spent in the loan window/summer. My preference would be to buy 1 or 2 decent strikers for the final push.

Moussi and Findley injured for Forest
Canary Ascent replied to York Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I was starting to buy in to the whole ''Forest are going to win the league'' bandwagon but then I looked at their remaining fixtures... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/nottm_forest/fixtures/default.stm If someone wants to teach me how to post a link in chrome I''d be very grateful! -
A decent bit of business if you ask me. This signing improves our squad. We have someone to push Holt for his shirt and at the very least have a ''big man'' option should Holt get injured/suspended. It also leaves the majority of our budget (one would hope) for strengthening elsewhere. A right-back and right winger then?

Apologies for the poor linkage! -
I didn''t realise Hammill was being linked with a move to the Prem. Probably us out then (if ever in). I think Cranie would be perfect to compete with RM and as mentioned above can provide cover right across the back line. Agree with the poster above re Austin - not better than we have but maybe cover/comp for Holt which I think is key! Danny Graham/Ricky Lambert would be the other suggestions.

Unfortunately Tiptop keepers mistakes invariably lead to opposition goals which lead to lost points. I don''t like to point out weaknesses in our own players and it has nothing to do with the fact we had Fraser Forster last season who we can easily compare Ruddy''s performances to BUT the simple fact is Ruddy is not good enough. The bread and butter stuff for a goalkeeper is to get their body behind the ball and keep hold of it. Unfortunately, Ruddy seems to have difficulties with this aspect and has spilled numerous balls this season, admittedly he has been fortunate with these spills. It doesn''t matter how many world class saves he makes. If he spills the ball, drops it, hesitates at a corner the world class saves are all in vain.

Sorry, bo link to us but just feel he would be a great loan signing and just what we need to strengthen. West Brom''s out-of-favour Czech Republic striker Roman Bednar is wanted on loan by Hull City and may be prepared to leave the Baggies and the Premier League for a spell back in the Championship. I''m not in the inner circle and thought I might be a goner too BUT I''m here! I feel so privileged... Feeling your pain though. Now off to the game...COME ON CITY!!!! -
Missed that thread but noticed he scored for the reserves last night. Have to say I am a little surprised that West Ham let him go as he seems to have a decent scoring record. The match reports I have seen also suggest he is quite a talent.

Norwich have a scout at the WBA-Man City game
Canary Ascent replied to 26mjw's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Could be Boyata. He can play right back and it is still an area we have limited cover in. Looks like he''s playing tonight too. -
Sounds a decent prospect. Joined the Academy from West Ham.
