1. Yeah, he''s going back to Arsenal so that Wenger can send him on to us. Arsene Wenger is just as fed up with Karen Brady as we are. Taylor still has no future at Brum, He''s not Scottish enough. You just watch the Scottish influx a ''la Grant/ Duffy at Mcleish''s Birmingham.
2. I never saw Ken play, but all the old fans then used to say what a keeper he was. His understudy, Sandy  Kennon was the 1st keeper i saw as a fan at Carrow Road and since we''ve been blessed with a succession of brilliant keepers. (Keelan, Woods,Gunn, Green and Marshall) The futures looking bright for young Joe Lewis to carry on the tradition. R.I.P. Ken. A legend.
3.
What''s ET short for?   .................   ...............................     ...................................................   Because he''s only got little legs.   I''ll get me coat
Keep up the Day-Job Slims. lol.
4.
£2.47, an old unwrapped sticky boiled sweet with bits of fluff on it, a paperclip and an unused 2nd class stamp.....
Blimey Sons, do you think any clubs are willing to risk that much. I suppose it all boils down to the fact that we''ve no no more family silver to flog off. In the past we used to have a never ending supply of exciting young players coming through from the youth team, they''d get promoted to the first team, perform really well and within a year or two,  along would come the big clubs to take them away for good money. We fans always detested this policy but, with us not getting big enough attendances at games there was an understanding that we had to sell to survive. Now we''re getting superb attendances but losing money each week. For the last 10 years or so, we haven''t had any good young prospects coming through the ranks to excite us/ be a saleable option. The youth team set up seems to have been going downhill each year. Glen Roeder, and his new coaching staff are all superb youth coaches so hopefully they can get us back on track. I''m sure they''ll sort it out, it''s what they are good at. Happy Christmas to everybody, 9 points before the New Year would be "Lovely Jubbly"
5. Wenger recalls promising young centre back Djourou from loan duty at Birminham, to send to his mate Glen Roeder at Norwich. Martin Taylor refuses to sign for Q.P.R. saying Norwich is the only team for me ! He signs for a cut price £700000. Karen Brady was last seen being dragged off, kicking and screaming to the funny farm.
6.
Now "CanaryGeorge You asked me the significence of the Ron Davis song that Nutty Nigel came up with , well after moving from the low wall that ran along the main stand ,thanks to Cumfy and Mum (re Bunny Larkins torn shorts) I went to the Barclay , being an avid pop fan Pirate radio N.M.E. etc. I told them all I could write better songs than they were singing , Dave1 Dave2 Timmy ,Clive , Hoggy ,Billy. all said "Little man lets see what you can do" and I came up with ,"There will never be anyone else like you for me" "If I could take my pick of all the teams I have ever know, I would always pick you for my very own . there will never be anyone else but you for me, never ever be, just could''t be any one else but you . City clap clap clapCity clapclap clap" As this was a slow number by Ricky Nelson I had to speed it up a bit , It proved a bit of success . But the song That made me the most proudest young man , was "Black is Black" It was a song that had been around the charts for some time , at that time we sold Ron Davis and signed Alan Black ,so I came up with , Black is Black I wan''t Ron Davis back Its grey Its grey since he went a way boo hoo what I can I do? course I,I,I,I,I Iam feeling blue. If I had my way he would be back to day we just need the time to see him again and again but oh what can I do course I,I,I,I,I,Iam feeling blue Every one picked it up at once and It rocked the rafters , and In the second half every one let their hair down and I have never heard any thing like it . Timmy made me turn round and look at the crowd behind us every one was singing their heads off ,"You have done this Ray Just look at them"and It had spread to the rest of the ground , They were all slapping me on the back . It was a testerment to Ron Davis because we never got to say good bye to him .But that young boy in the Barclay felt he had for the rest of the fans , That day Jas I was the king of the Barclay . arrdee
Cheers Ray. Good old days eh. Your song, Black is Black. Originly sung by Los Bravos. When was that, about 1965/66 ? Your version ? Oi''ll give foive but i wouldn''t buy it. (Jukebox Jury)
7. Good post lgt. She claims the catering facilities are turning over millions of pounds. Good. The magnificent city fans are filling Carrow road every home game. Fact. We''ve always been known for making a profit on buying and selling our best players. Fact. I''ve only supported City since 1962 but i remember the dark days when we were lucky to get 1300-1400 fans and you could understand the the need to sell off the family silver. I can see that the infrastructure is planning for the future but although we now have a brilliant stadium and training facilities they are at the cost of a competitive squad of players that us supporters and the supurb Glen Roeder deserve. The Turners have been here a few months now, claim to be City fans but our decline seems to accellerated since they joined they board. We''ve never been so low in the 45 years i''ve supported City. I dont blame Delia and Michael Wyn Jones they have saved the club when it could have gone under. Their biggest mistake was to  appoint that Scottish clown. Nuff said. So to recap, We are making millions from catering, Filling the stadium, Making a profit on tranfers, And we''re up the creek without a pot to p*ss in. How come ? Glen Roeder and the Brilliant fans deserve so much better. Com''on Mr & Mrs Turner, if you are real fans put up or shut up !!!!!!! We need your money to keep us out the old 3rd division where i first saw Norwich at Rootes Hall Southend. We really dont want to go back there do we ? Rant over!
8. O.K. Here goes, Wigan v Blackburn ..............Away win!
9. They look a bit trappy again this week. The few teams i did fancy have already been selected so i''ll give it a miss this week. But, as ever good luck to the one''s that are selected.
10. On Rick Waghorns site. Tonights Birmingham Evening Mail. Norwich officials are discussions with Birmingham to secure a 2nd concurrant months loan. Appararently we have until midnight tonight to lodge the required paperwork. Martin Taylor wants to come back to Norwich either on loan or permanantly. Birmingham dont want him but are desperate to sell him and and raise funds for Mcleish''s scottish influx. Q.P.R. are keen to buy but Taylor is not interested in a move to London (cant blame him there) The ball is now in Norwich''s court. Come on show some ambition for once board. LETS BE ''AVIN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
11.
Now you lovely old pickers ,I am over whelmed with your support on here but also with all those e-mails and P M i am still wading through them . But if i could say to the Picker who said in his own words " Ray if you don''t keep doing the Free Bet thread I shall come over to that Butchers shop and give you a bloody good hiding " I will quickly say I will be putting the Free Bet thread on tomorrow as usual , just in case he is about  set out on his mission to use arrdee as a punchbag . There are so many among the E - Mails that are not even Pickers that want me to continue which I don''t understand . Of course Nutty knew he would get me with that song , I thought I was going to feel like Arto when I saw a song coming on but you used my biggest success when Ron Davis left us . When we shook the rafters all match , and this little boy went home black and blue from having all his mates slapping him on the back . I do feel I let you lovely old pickers down with the mistake I made , In fact it broke  my heart because I would never do anything against you lovely City supporters you are all so important to me So it seems you are stuck with me  mistakes and all ,but rest assured I won''t be making that mistake again believe me . So thanks again to all you kind people out there . arrdee
You''ve got to stay and carry on the good work Ray. But can you explain about you and Ron Davies and you having your mates slapping you on the back. Ron Davies was my hero.
12. 6-1 !    Only just got beat then. Still, it''s the taking part that counts aint it. By the way C.T. where did you see this result ?
13.
http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/TheFAYouthCup/Fixtures/ apprently your game is penciled in for tonight, i would check the official norwich fc page, and should mention either the result or give headline for the game tonight good luck, we got charlton who meant to be one of the better teams in the youth, but we did get to semis couple years back
Yeah, it is tonight.   Wolves won it in 1958. We won it in 1983.
14. Does anybody know how the youngsters got on tonight against Sunderland ?
15. No, mate. keep the Hexes working and if they do then promotion would follow anyway. I''d be happy this season to reach a respectable finishing position. I think Granty and co caused too much damage to hope for anything more.
16. Sunderlands british transfer record goalkeeper has been kept on the bench for their last 2 games by none other than Darren Ward who couldn''t get a game  when he was here. Crazy or what.
17. Yeah, it''s Fozzy. Good luck to the boy. Just hope Tuesdays poor performance was a one off. Being captain seemed to have a bad effect then. Maybe he''ll grow in stature as he gets used to it. COM''ON YOU YELLAS
18.
Darel Russell or   Mark Fotheringham. it will be someone whos going to play every week. jas :)
It cant be Russell cos he''s suspended today. Who is likely to be selected for every game if fit ? Marshall, Semmy, Shacks, Fozzy, Pattison, maybe Hucks, maybe Dion. Probably be one these 6, probably not Semmy.
19. Tomorrow Glenn Roeder is going name the player to skipper to the end of the season. Who do you think it will be? Dion, the best leader but unlikely to play  every game. Shacks? Not for me really. Fozzy? He didn''t really cover himself in glory wearing the armband against Plymouth. Or maybe we''ve reached an agreement for Martin Taylor, and he''s our new leader. Several people have tried to prise the name of the player Glen sees as the captain but he wont say until tomorrow. I know the Taylor bit is a bit hopeful, but i can dream cant i ?
20. I suppose the dreaded agent will be busy running up a phone-bill to maximize his percentage of any deal. Or am i just being cynical ?
21. Got to agree with both C.T.& Gazza. I''ve no idea how you do it but it seems to work. You certainly seem very confident about tomorrow. Keep up the good work.
22. I''ll go for East Fife to win at Forfar (odds about 1/2) Remember that classic scoreline Forfar 4- East Fife 5, (The oldies will remember that) I think East Fife will gain a much more clear cut win this time.
23. They updated at midnight. And Saturdays highlights will update midnight on sunday.
24. They should appear at midnight tonight. And midnight Sunday for the weekend games.
25. If you get the right feeling for Saturday go ahead Wiz. It''s certainly working so far. Keep up the good work.
