1.
For their first team. In the Prem. Yep. Interesting, eh? Wonder how well he played. And if he will keep his place. OTBC
Yeah Babes, i saw that . He looked at fault for Derby goal, but i dont know how he did genrally.
2. Ipswich were mugged in broad daylight in paying 2.4m for a player worth 1m at best. They also down graded regarding their goalkeepers. Glenn Roeder has used his contacts to bring in 4 upwardly mobile, gifted youngsters to add to the earlier signings and we now have cover in all positions. I''m looking forward to the rest of this season and to next season. Glenn knows what he''s doing, trust him. Would i be happier with the ipswich signings here, or with what we''ve got theres no contest. Glenn got it right.    COM''ON YOU YELLAS!!!!!!!!!!!
3. Ryan Bertram, Kieran Gibbs and James Henry are all in the England under 19s squad against Croatia on Tuesday night. I hadn''t seen anything on the Norwich related sites, but i came across it on the official F.A. site. Presumably the three youngsters know. lol.
4. Yeah, Rasiak of Saints. But he went to Bolton on loan instead.
5. Well reasoned and layed out Fellas. We deserve to succeed, and think we will. (I think that every week though, lol.) Anyway good luck Fellas. lets bash them bookie chappies.
6. O.K. We didn''t get our wish regarding a proven 20 goals a season striker at this level or above. Glenn tried, but for that sort of player you''ve gotta pay silly money. He matched Brums £1 m asking price for Tiny but that got scuppered when they couldn''t get a replacement. What he did get is a superb group of young, hungry players wanting to impress. We now have 3 players competing for every position. When, if ever did we have that option ? These youngsters are good, very good. They will spur the permanant City players to improve or lose there place, which has gotta be a plus. I think Bertrand should be 1st choice at left back with Camara as cover. Gibbs is is a gem, who''s prefered position is left wing, but can also play left back, centre midfield and striker and has a knack for scoring goals. Likewise young Henry has an eye for goal who can play on either wing but given his height 6''1" would be an interesting option as a striker. Here''s how i see the options.                                                         Marshall,Gilks,Arnold. Semmy,Bates,Spillane.  Doc,Bates,Shacks,Pearce,Dion.   Berty,Camara,Gibbs. Crofty,Henry,Hucks.   Rusty,Fozzy,Patty,Gibbs,Spillane.   Gibbs,Berty,HucksPatty        Ched,Dion,Henry,Gibbs,Curo,Hucks,Martin(if he gets his act together) Competition for places should ensure even more improvement. I''m chuffed to bits with what Glenn has achieved so far with limited resources, and now look forward to the rest of the season with an exciting squad playing for their place in the starting line up.    I now expect to be shot down in flames for this post by the the doubters and binners.
7.                        Marshall Semmy      Doc        Shacks       Berty Crofty    Rusty  Fozzy or Patty   Gibbs             Ched            Dion (captain) Subs Gilks,Bates,Hucks,Henry,Cureton or Patty.
8. If worse comes to worse, and we dont get a striker. We got Hucks as an impact striker, or James Henry could be a very good gtriker. 6''1" quick and skillful. Got a good scoring record as a winger. Remember another bloke called Henry was a winger but Wenger converted him to striker and the rest is history! Just a thought. So that would give us Dion, Ched,Curo, Hucks and Henry as strikers.
9.
Wheres the striker? [8o|] Or is Doomy at a gig?
Patience C.T, Patience. lol. But i know what you mean.
10. Tomorrows press conference could turn out to be like a school photograph with all these kids we''ve signed. lol. Dont get me wrong, i think they are going to turn out fine for us. Glenn knows what he''s doing. I''m sure at least 1 striker will be signing.
11.
Ryan gone to Notts County on loan for rest of season. With this is mind, anyone else see a new striker looming large on the horizon (and no, i dont mean Hartson!) Surely Glenn has got another coming in if he is letting one out on loan for rest of season?? seeing as we are so short of numbers up front...?
Spot on. I''m even more confident now, that there will be at least 1 striker signing. The suspense is building. 3hours 20 minutes to go !
12.
Actually Younguns reports he is a left winger too. I was fairly sure he is a left sided creative CM. Can anyone clear this up?
Thats right, he''s an left sided attacking midfielder/winger. Gives us options. I''m feeling confident Glenn is making the right choices with these youngsters. We''re covered in all areas now as long as we get a decent striker tonight.
13. Ched Evans IS staying to end of season.
14. Man. City have just signed another striker. So looking better regarding Ched by the hour.
15.
http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com/full_article.asp?i=2573
A younger, fitter, taller and more athletic version of Hucks with an eye for goal, who can play on both wings. If that article is anything to go by. We''ll see, but sounds promising. I wonder, given his height,(6''1") could he be used as a striker.
16. Anybody like me putting 2 & 2 together regarding Paterson ?
17. I''m really fancying Norwich this weekend. Play an unchanged team, who have been performing really well, but now know theres real competiton for places especially at the back, which we haven''t had all season. Also competition for midfield places (Patty,Hucks & Henry.) AND i''m hopeful we''ll get at least 1 more striker by midnight. Against that Preston have those 3 suspensions. Yep, i''m confident. Norwich to WIN. NAP.
18. The Reading centre back and winger look promising, but where''s the striker/s we really need ?
19.
Agreed. But why is it that the official site is the last site (in many cases) to report news?
I think the official site were hoping to keep us in the dark about young master bates, but some of us with nothing better to do spotted it on the Sky sports news this afternoon, and the cat was out of the bag. I''m sure they would''ve rather saved it for an official news conference tomorrow.
20. I see on the Anglia news that the Adverising hoarding boards claimed their latest "victim" in the game between scum and Plymouth last night. One of the linesmen came a cropper and had to be replaced by somebody in the crowd. Surely it''s about time something was done about this. Wheres Health & Safety when you need em. Close the gaff down before somebody dies.
21. Can somebody nip over to Dunston Hall and see who they''ve got booked in tonight as the suspense is really getting to me. lol.
22. I hope i''m wrong but i think he''s going to be really unfit. He''s only played 61 minutes reserve game all season, and only a handfull of games at Ipswich and Darlington on loan over the last 5 years.
23.
Would be fantastic if true...
It would be fantastic if it was Justin Hoyte. 22 year old right back/centre back But Gavin Hoyte is 17 year old yet to figure in any first team games. No doubt Gavin has got a future but you wouldn''t fancy him as our only cover at centre back. Gavin Hoyte you would.
24. I can assure you it was on sky news. I''m hoping it was an error and they meant Northwich (non-league) It scrolled across the screen several times.
