1. Half of the team, including the captain, Marc Saunders are good old Gorleston boys. Well done to the lads.
 2. Oh well, just didn''t happen. But the main thing is City got a brilliant result. Well done the yellas. Best of luck to the thread next week.
 3. They all seem to be level at half-time apart from City & Rangers in front. C''mon you yellas !
 4. Well done Ray, and a special thanks to Billy. Lovely Jubbly. Very good odds. Just need the teams to do their bit now. Specially City. C''mon.
 5. Well, after much clucking and soul searching, i''ve whittled it down to 7 teams to get us crowing at 5 pm. tomorrow. Sorry to people who choices weren''t picked, but i''ve gone for 7 homes, kicking off at 3pm. as the bet. We wont have agonising wait for Sundays games. The bet brings the majority of pickers. The odds shown are the best available odds, but we all know that old charmer Ray can get that nice Billy Dixon to match them. Aston Villa to beat Sunderland      @ 8/13............City Angel ,Me. Norwich    to beat Colchester        @ 5/6..............Lucky green trainers, Ray, Lappinup. C''mon you yellas ! Brighton     to beat Swindon           @ 1/1..............Leedscanary Hereford    to beat Bury                 @ 8/11.............Graham Humphrey, Inch High. Aldershot   to beat Atrincham         @ 2/5...............Peterbrocanary, Fellas, Gorleston Jim. Cambridge Utd to beat Weymouth  @ 1/2..............Trentcanary, 1dartmoore. Rangers            to beat Hibernian     @1/3...............D.D.D. IF, no WHEN they all come FLYING home at teatime, we''ll all be CROWING.   At the above odds it works out to a nice £286.46 for a tenner. Good luck guys and gals, fingers crossed. George.
 6. Help me out please, guys and gals. So far we''ve had 12 different teams selected and some peole are going to be disappointed if their team doesn''t get picked. I''m looking to pick 7 games at reasonable odds that play on Saturday afternoon. I shall send the list off to Ray at about 9 tonight. Hopefully the mods will update in time for him to get the bet on. Chirpy, chirpy, cheep cheep.
 7. I dont whats happening, hasn''t updated since 7-30 last night.
 8.
Right Mr DUCKer, it''s my tern, you''ve asked for this old cock !! I must admit I feel high as a kite (you thought I was going to say pissed as a coot) this afternoon (been drinking kestrel lager and famous grouse all day). Nuthatch nigel missed out oyster catcher and didn''t count yellow/hammer eider but First Buzzard and Mr Sparrow were very good. Anyway, enough of this lark, I''ve had a gander at the fixtures and can''t see past the Canaries (especially if old pigeon toed Eagle plays) so.... Norwich v Colchester.    Home win. Lapwingitup.      Totally cuckoo and a bit of a tit !!    [:D] LOL. I nearly fell off my perch laughing at that. Top post. Now then, as Arrdee said, if your fancy has already been picked, please pick it again rather than give a 2nd best.  I can only choose between 5 and 7 selections anyway, so if 3 or 4 people go for the same selection it is more positive than 25 people giving a different selection, just to be different.
9.

EAGLES to stuff the OWLS anybody ?
Now Canarygeorge where have you been been ? You have had poor old arrdee worried sick and a lot of other Pickers as well I might add , no answer to my e-mail or p.m. we have seen nothing of you for 3 weeks and you know the Free Bet is not the same without Canarygeorge to help us . arrdee. Yankee,2,Fellas,P''boro,                                 £212-56p
Sorry i''ve been missing Ray. I got a new computer and only just got back to the Pink''un. Just in time it seems. lol. Hope i can do the business with the help of all the lovely Free Bet posters. We know theres no finger pointing on this thread. I''ve been busy this last 5 weeks on an online Football Management game called Xperteleven.com It''s brilliant, and the best one i''ve ever played. I''ve got 3 different teams, including 1 for City fans called Norwich City mad of which i''m the League Admin. We''ve got 2 divisions of 10 teams each, with a Cup competition. Back to the thread, good luck with the selections, guys and gals.
 10.
canarygeorge - where''s that come from? What''s your problem, I''ve never posted, "Look at me, my teams in the prem and yours aint" comments on this board. Have you got any examples, you might like to give. I think you owe me an apology. I don''t see the relevence of the next line, but that''s your privilige. I was born relatively close and have attended UP for 41 years, so what? I didn''t feel the need to put that down on paper, like you have? Explain more please geezer, why do I give London and Essex a bad name? I first noticed your posts when Norwich & West Ham had that pre-season friendly. Obviously i haven''t seen all your posts since, but every one i have seen has had that theme.  People living outside London area dont appreciate big headed posts like yours. Sorry if you dont like this answer, but thats how i feel about your posts.
 11.
no offence hammer but 850 for your guys? i know these prob premium seats but your just average prem side
Take no notice Wolfie. It''s just another one of his "look at me, my teams in the prem and yours aint" posts. My dad was born near Upton Park, and was a life long fan. He even went to the F.A.Cup final in 1923 when he 19 years old. I''m from Essex, like appyammer but its people like him give Essex and London a bad name.
 12. I''m happy that we will be in this League next season. Thank you Glenn & team. Now the board have to make sure we''re not in this situation next season. Back the man.
 13.

So far everybody has agreed with me on gibbs. Except that the fact they obvious rate players who do nothing higher than I do. I don''t think anybody can say gibbs had a great game, or even an influencial game. Infact I never said anywhere that they had a "mare". Doherty had a good defensive game but I felt that he was partly responsible for letting barnsley to come on to us with his very poor heading and distrobution and clearences.
We all see different games and we all have personal ideas about each players quality. In my opinion Gibbs had a fine game. He looked comfortable on the ball and was always neat and tidy in his passing. Obviously you don''t find him convincing enough yet. I would just ask you to look at the example of Ryan Bertrand. He looked nervous and a bit light weight in his first couple of outings but has grown into the part with each passing game. I firmly believe that Gibbs will show us a similar pattern in his development. As for the Doc, some people are always looking for a reason to do him down. He is not the greatest passer of the ball but I thought he played several decent balls forward yesterday as well as being solid in defence. If anyone had a mare then for me it was Pattison. Full of running and endeavour but the rest of his game was appalling. Also Crofty, another player who gets a lot of support on here for his running and endeavour. Yes he is quick but often his feet are going too fast for his brain. Yesterday we were treated to several examples where he tried to bamboozle a defender only to finish up tying himself in knots. In this respect he reminds me of Billy Punton. Perhaps Ray and some of the other old''uns would agree with me on this point. We all have our different favourites and boogies Fellas, and in this repect I am no different to you.
Cant agree with you about Billy Punton, Ricardo. Crofty doesn''t fall flat on his ''arris every time he kicks the ball. Billy was a better crosser though, and scored a lot more goals.
 14. Norwich off to spain. To train in the sun on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The rain in Spain falls mainly when you train.

 23.

Regardless of the result Norwich will be the only British team to beat Bayern Munich in the Olympic Stadium.............
Quite right ,they have changed grounds now.
Happy days.
 24.
you do know leeds he did good job, got them to playoff final. remember he had to build his own team after 1st season they was down they had likes of joachim up front he built his own team, just missed out on automatic and then just got beat on the day for playoff final although being clearly best team in playoffs that year he did lose players confidence though in 2nd season and left them when they were around 15th (bad for leeds as expecting 1st) but look where they ended up the same season with wise - they were truly sinking ship with rotten players in there like derry and butler who didnt want to play for the club luton - i thought be top or near this year, but look at there squad its rather poor with key sales through past 1-2seasons of KEY players, with players like morgan expressing a wish to leave as well isnt nice. maybe with solid finacial team he will succeed think he worth a shot, thought maybe with lower team though say burnley standard etc..
I think you''re right Wolfie.  It''s just that  he''s been mixing with a bad crowd tho. Bad luck seems to follow him.
