As for the players, it just grates on me they get paid so much money for what is essentially a simple sport yet they cant even do that. This is a job where you train for most of the week to perform for around 90 minutes once a week. Why is that so hard????!!! If they cant do that maybe they are in the wrong job, or maybe the modern footballer has life to easy and comfortable getting paid lots for what ever performance in what is a results based business at the end of the day.

In a round about way if the cheif exec and the board (excluding delia and husband) wanted to get rid of gunn and get him to resign (no compensation to be paid) they could use their media links to mount pressure on gunn and force him out....which may have started already?? Just a different perspective on things.

Yep we are in divison 3 but its the first game of the season and its on track to be a full house.....as a fan i look forward to the first game of the season and am always optomistic as its a fresh start!

Come the final whistle on saturday we WILL be 3 points better off. The stadium will be rocking, the players are on a high and getting better with every performance-im sure they cant wait to "turn it on" for us in the first match of the season. The ghosts and chaff from last season are gone and we now almost have a completly new squad of NCFC players all wanting promotion and wanting to win. Should we be worried about Saturday? No-we will want victory to mark this as our first step to winning the league and send a message to all the other teams in the league that we are NCFC and our ground is a fortress. The count down has begun. Colchester wont know whats hit them. OTBC

Yep he used a formation to deal with the opposition-and we won. Which is what the aim of every game of football is be it a friendly or league/cup. Take one game at at time, celebrate this victory against premiership opposition and then move on to saturdays game.

I went saturday, true his fitness didnt look upto the standard of the rest of the team but we looked to use him as an outlet and gave him a lot of the ball to distribute and build up play. I thought he looked tidy on the ball and think he will be a good player once fit.

I am confident we will win, 1st match of the season, at home, full house.......its going to be awsome. WE WILL steamroller them!

We have built a squad for the league we are in....which is division one....some people need to realize we are in this division for a reason! I am optimistic we will do well in this division and although the 2 goals we conceded yesterday were from possibly 2 pieces of sloppy play i dont think your standard league 1 or even championship players would have finished them off as well as the wigan players.

Sign him up i say.....no club and not much experience......im sure he would be glad if we offered him £500 a week....better than signing on for job seekers allowance?! Do out of contrct players who dont find clubs actually sign on do you think?
