1. I know he is not a Spaniard but got to be this guy, given the Chris Brown connection;   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89ver_Banega
 2.
Doherty is one of those players that no matter what he does just frustrates the heck out of  me, im not saying he is not a good player but there is one thing I feel I should stick up for him about....... Whenever he  PUMPS it forward some of us curse (admittedly hes improving) but when Dion or another player does it the general reaction is ''oh its just so and so and  it doesnt matter'' well I for one think  if you''re gonna criticise one for something you have to criticise the others. Moving on to Darren. The guy has provided us with many great games and bits skill and  runs at an opposition defence but that was then and this is now. I love the guy to bits ( footballwise) but he hasnt been at his best this season so IMO something has to change: a) move him on to where-ever it is he wants to go at the end of the season or during this window. If he doesnt want to be here then there is no point him being here. Simple as. b) Glenn should sit Hucks down and convince him to commit to NCFC for the rest of his career, he hasnt been at his best so he probably has his mind else where or his injury has finished him which is a shame. Glenn will probably be more likely to go for a) instead of b), so farewell Hucks. We DOMINATED todays game and anybody who disagree''s is a scummer (they STILL cant win away) we only need a goal-scorer and a defender to have a promotion chasing team IMO (im sure we8wba will disagree [:)]) so dont worry. Glenn has performed a miracle since he''s been here but to get any further we need the above players so come on Delia and the board dont let Doomcaster convince you we should''nt, give Glenn what he needs.
You obviously have not been keeping up with the news.......
 3. It is because of our remoteness that Carrow Rd. is full when we are at home. I think I read once that our "catchment area" rivals that of some of the bigger clubs in the Premiership, given that some of the bigger clubs have equally big clubs as near neighbours. A lot depends on your age as well when comparing different football clubs as to who you think is "big" or not.
 4.

Player of the Season nailed on [Y]
There aren''t too many options for this though are there. Dion is a great pro but I wouldn''t say he had played brilliantly this season. However, he is still the real leader of this team and it is noticeable that very few of our complete no shows occur when he is playing - the QPR game showed this as we completely gave up after he went off at half time. Top Man and attempts must be made to retain him in some capacity at the club - we must not repeat the mistakes of allowing Mackay & Iwan to depart.
Iwan and Malky were still playing when they left, Dublin is going to retire and there is no guarantee that he will make a good coach.

 6.
I think if the board let the supporters know just how little money was available, there would be riots.
Maybe.     So, er, why don''t you tell us exactly how much there is then?
 7. Seems like some people around here spend all day looking for things to discredit the Board of NCFC. Would not be surprised to see some of them rooting through the waste paper bins at the back of Carrow Road.
 8.
er so its 2.15 now, anything?   Or do we go from 2 players in before Sat to none!   I wonder if Glenn has finally discovered that crucial thing which plagued PG and NW, players just don''t want to come to Delia''s Little Norwich!
.......what does Delia have to do with it? Delia can''t go out and build Nightclubs, Shopping centres, etc. Everything about the football setup is good to excellent she can not change the location of it though.
 9.
Well done Fozzy, for all those who doubt his ability... hes currently officially the top performing midfielder in the championship according to the Actim Index, whilst i think there are better players, like Buzacky from QPR, or Gera, its partly based on his contribution to the team, and you can definately see how poor we are when he doesnt play. I know that results exaggerated because of last weeks goal and assists, but its a gd achievement, Give him a new contract now!
The result is not exaggerated as everything counts.....
 10.
I''ve heard a rumour that Marshall is on his way, courtesy of Doncaster, to pay for a new Director''s sushi bar. Gunn is being lined up to make a surprise comeback in goal.
Rule 1: If you have nothing constructive to say make sure that; a, Mention that any money coming into NCFC will be used for Directors fripperies. b, You take a swipe at Doncaster. Works every time on the pink''un forums.....
 11.
Maybe Roeder wants new faces but I think at the end of the day it will depend on what Doncaster wants. We have had two many promises in the past to hold out to much hope.
Yes, that''s right because they would not have discussed any future, possible or probable signings between them. Especially at this time of year, god forbid.
 12.
Wiz. its not that we lost, its the manor in which we lost .
Manor? Gigg Lane innit?
 13.
Disgraceful. Yet again I had to drive into work steeling myself for the inevitable jibes and jeering which duly occurred. Thanks Norwich.
Take the day off then and go cry in your pillow, it''s only a game!
 14.
.... Given are financial situation, money can only be made available by getting rid of players or the board injecting more money into the club.
I''m sorry but could you please detail "our financial situation" with some facts and figures? I think every NCFC fan would love to know exactly how much GR has to spend.
 15.

I''m not really aware of the circumstances behind this story...... hope its not a case of money talks...... What was the grounds on which he sought asylum?
He was seeking asylum from Sierra Leone, a country ravaged by civil war where his family had been directly threatened. The government tried to certify Sierra Leone as a "safe" country and deport him. All this goes on whilst certain extremely rich people, dodge taxes which would run into millions by registering companies offshore. Bangoura pays his taxes, has a girlfriend and a child over here and actively tries to contribute to the local community. Not a case of money talks, i dont think. For more info see the thread in "its not just football" section of this very messageboard.
But a lot of those tax dodgers are business owners who employ hundreds if not thousands of tax-paying employees. We pay too much tax in this country anyway (most of it by stealth) so good luck to them.
 16. It also depends on what edition of the Sundays you get, I believe that some are regional in that the "eastern" editions would have more coverage?
 17. Makes you wonder whether anyone actually reads the other topics in this Forum does it not? It has been stated many times over that Romania and Bulgaria are special cases as they were the last to join the EU and existing EU members did not wish to be swamped with workers from these countries (after vastly underestimating the amount of Polish citizens (for example) who wanted to come and work here). The rules were set in place for every worker which unfortunately (for us) includes footballers.
 18. Do we really need another thread on this subject?
 19.
Work permit rules aren''t made by the FA, but are a Governmental regulation, so it doesn''t matter which club makes the application the rules are the same. A player must have played in 75% of his countries last internationals or be a "young player of exceptional ability", this is how Celtic recently got a work permit for Koki Mizuno. Due to Iliev''s age and lack of international apperances a work permit is unlikely. The club may still make an application and try to argue he is an "exceptional" talent, but that seems a difficult case to prove. Iilev needs to discover an EU grandparent. It''s a shame, I would of prefered him over Tiny, cheaper to buy, lower wages and maybe a little extra quality.
Thanks for stating the facts Jonny 5, but logical, rational posts are not allowed around these parts! [;)]
 20.
The comments on Shawcross are interesting.
No more intereting than the other young players in that article. The reasons that he went elsewhere are geographical (as stated elsewhere on this Forum), just get over it.
 21.

BBC Sports website Manchester United''s Ryan Shawcross is set to join Stoke for £1m. (various) [:S] OTBC
BBB, in the absence of Smudger you seem to be making a determined bid to become the resident misery guts posting nothing but negative sound bites lately - which is a pity as I remember you putting much more thought provoking stuff on in the past.   however the player himself opted for Stoke because it was closer to home and also Man Utd were insisting that whoever he was loaned to virtually guarnateed him first team football.  There is not much anyone could do about the former and the latter was sensibly resisted.  Now Shawcross wants to stay somewhere he is used to and settled at, so so it is unlikely any bid is likely to tempt him elsewhere (perhaps some similarities to the Taylor/QPR situation?). The club can be criticised for quite a few things but in this case I think they are not really to blame.
Well, that''s if you swallow the CR PR pap. Failure has 100 excuses. Did you know that Shawcross has scored 6 goals in 24 games for Stoke whilst on loan this season, and is rated 4th overall on th Actim Top 100 Championship Rankings plus 1st in the Actim Defender Rankings. You said ''In the summer we were (according to reports from quite a few sources in the press) close to getting Shawcross on loan......'' And I suppose he could not have been ''guaranteed'' a place in the team over Shackell or Doherty or Uncle Tom Cobley? Nice that he''s now at home in the fine city of Stoke though. Sad that you don''t think that the situation with Shawcross is worthy of comment. OTBC
BBB why do you not give it a rest? The majority of your topics are getting lost in the sea of ambiguity.
 22.

Can we keep these religeous threads off the main threads please mods?  They are really not relevant to football [:|]
They were when everyone blamed Safri for not playing during Ramadan. The fact that he declared himself fit to play and it was the coaching staff who decided against playing hime seemed to matter little. So I''d say its relevant to quite a lot of ''fans'' judging by the fuss they made.
agreed!   everyone blamed Ramadan for Safris fitness yet overlooked the facts... 1. Ramadan is in winter, and dictates that Muslims cannot consume food during daylight hours...  In britain in a freezing cold november it gets light at 9am and dark at 3pm... Saffers could of got up at 8am and stuffed his face for the day ahead if he had really wanted, with energy foods... as for midweek evening games... a bit of grub at 3:30 isnt going to affect him in a game 4 hours later... lack of education for the fans 2. Many African Nations have Muslim citizens... Many of these citizens take part in sport... when it comes to long ditsance running/marathons  its these Muslim nations and Athletes that dominate... not affected by Ramadan. 3. Muhammad Ali, perhaps the greatest Sportsman of them all in the eyes of some, was a Muslim... he never flagged in the ring, never lost energy to not eating etc... he was at his physical peak for years.... not affected by Ramadan.  If people opened thier eyes to blind fact and evidence they would see that People have been taking part in Ramadan for thousands of years... almost as long as people have been taking part in sport.. they prepare for sport in the right way.. knowing what they can and cant do,.... Ramadan will not affect ANY sportsman/woman as they know how to adapt to it every year.  Im surpised the same uneducated people dont wonder why the game isnt stopped for prayers halfway through! jas :)
Ha! And you call other people "uneducated"?
 23. So, what has this got to do with NCFC? It should be here; http://www.pinkun.com/cs/forums/271/ShowForum.aspx
 24. Nearly 10% of the country are of Turkish descent so that would take a huge chunk out of the 12% who are Muslim. Valentin Iliev does not sound very Turkish to me.
