1. Why the hell would (or should) it be fun playing in a team that was rock bottom of the Championship and eight points adrift? Any takers?
 2.

It would seem from the views of most of you that coming on here was a mistake, I can understand that you need details, but that is out of the question whilst plans are ongoing. I would like to make it clear to you all that we will move this on as quickly as we can, and outlines will be released to the press ASAP. Thanks everyone
What made you change your mind on that one? IIRC you earlier said you didn''t want to tell the press yet or words to that effect. And also, PROVE YOURSELF! If you spend the time setting up a website or something like that, it will make it a little more believable. Prove to everybody that it isn''t a wind up; Otherwise, shut the door on your way out.
Agreed. CTA2009, if you do prove that you are truthful then I shall apologise.
 3.

Excellent reply NY-Canary, why on earth such a consortium would come onto the pink-un forums, with any consortium rep with their head screwed on knowing the majority of posters on here are wind up merchants and people who don''t take the club seriously, really does baffle me. There are clear signs of a wind up, with reliable posters on here beginning to ask serious questions this guy has gone silent whilst some of you sit arguing amongst yourselves.
In answer to your question why come on here? Its called doing research, this is the biggest Norwich site, with the biggest membership, and one of the most active football message boards in the country. What else are we to do to gauge fans reaction to the takeover? This is not a wind-up, its a real proposal that will happen with your vocal support. As for Delia, she does not wish to sell so this is the only way forward.
You have still taken a bit of a risk in posting what you have on here though. If you''ve read this site before, then surely you must realise why other posters have accused you of being a wind up merchant. We''ve seen so many of these on here in the past it''s untrue. I would agree to a takeover in principle, but I would want to know exactly what your intentions are and when you would intend for this to go through. No Marcus Evans-type mystery figure here please, I would want to know exactly what you all look like. That''s if you definitely aren''t a leg puller of course.
 4. No surprise there at all, a very good footballer on his day, but just too injury-prone for what we needed. It''ll be handy to just get him off the wage bill. I wish him the best of luck, I just hope he doesn''t have to retire early.
 5. ''''But one thing that has changed over the last 10 years or so is that most supporters think they are good judges. I haven''t got a problem with that either, but they watch so much football on the television, they listen to all the clever people that have never been brave enough or good enough to try management and they suddenly think they''re experts.'''' Like CUSDP, I think he makes a valid point here. I think that most of us have been guilty of thinking that we''re good judges, or perhaps even better judges than the manager or coaches, at one time or other.
 6.
Good for your for taking your kids, but I''m not sure you have thought this one through. As someone who worked 5 minutes from there for 15 years, the Wetherspoons (The Hamilton Hall) is one of London''s most famous football violence spots.  You might get away with it, and I''m sure you''ll say we''ve not had problems in the past, but believe me I have seen dozens of proper scraps there on saturday afternoon, and for evening games.  With it being FA Cup, a lot of awaydays, 4,000 Southend coming in for Chelsea game, Millwall and West Ham both at home, its no place for kids.  Do yourself a favour and have a look at www.beerintheeveningc.com and find yourself a nice local.  The Magpie for example is 100 yards across the road but will be empty.  You don''t need to settle for a dump like that Wetherspoons, and more importantly your kids will be safe.
Thanks for the info, should just be the one kid coming with us anyway. I''ll pass the info on about The Magpie, but I''m afraid your link isn''t working as the address is www.beerintheevening.com.
 7.

Whats up with the Hitler photo?  Are you trying to be a jerk?
yeah, i will second that, wtf are you doing with a pic of hitler as your avatar?
I think he might be having a bit of a pop at our manager, just a guess though. Still a bit silly though - some might say offensive...
 8.

Yep, I''ve found a spare virgin laying around in my vaults, so Crystal Palace are now well and truely Hexed when they play us on that festive day!    I''ll try anything, if it wins City games, the odd sacrifice of some innocent, but old, virgin, is countered as a mere drop in the bucket anyway these days. Mandy''s slightly messy sacrfice will not be for nothing. They won''t know what hit them![li]
Given our record at selhurst park I am not sure that one dusty discarded vrigin is enough;  and why wasnt she used before?  Not your top quality virgin then is she,  to have been discarded and overlooked Wiz..  And can anyone verify whether Peter ''Mandy'' Mandelson is, allegedly and for the sake of a pale impersinaton of humour,  still any sort of virgin?
A nice, and very clever reply Zipper. Okay, granted, Mandy wasn''t your typical ''fit'' vigin, but these days, wizards can''t be too choosy when it comes to sacrificing virgins at midnight.....especially in December!.[:D]
And especially in Lowestoft!

[:D] You''d have been better off giving those balls of yours a good ol'' rub.
 10.

anyone else really looking forward to charlton next saturday? london on the train is the best, beer cracked open on the 9am from norwich! we should try and get all city fans in a pub near london bridge...there is one dead opp london dungeons. there arent any pubs near the ground so best to drink near london bridge. and dont forget if we play crap, the football is only 90 minutes out of the whole day out with your mates!!   CTID. OTBC
I think you mean Saturday week LOL [:D] But yes, I''m going on the train too with some mates. Coming up to Norwich from Lowestoft on the 07:42, arriving 08:25 (provided they''re not running late!) and getting on the Norwich to London at 08:30 so we should, all being well, get there at 10:20. With one or two beers consumed on the way at our leisure! [B][B] We should then be hitting Wetherspoons, which as I recall isn''t too far away from the station. Should be a good day, but it''ll be even better if we can come away with our name in the draw for the next round - not often that happens is it! We''re getting the 20:30 back to Norwich, what about you?
You''re in London with a few hours to spare and you''re off to a spoons! Why not go for a wonder and find a proper pub with some character, it might cost an extra 50p a pint, but it''s better than sitting above Liverpool St. in a dirty old Wetherspoons.
Because some pubs don''t allow children in, do they. We know that Wetherspoons do, so that''s where we''ll be going.

Not a good thing to do that, getting all stroppy and walking out of a press conference. If they definitely lose to Coventry this Saturday, do we think the end could be nigh for him?
 13. Yeah why not! I think he''s got more confidence and belief in himself now than what he did have. I know he missed a sitter against Reading, but as long as he keeps getting into those positions I can see him doing it. Go for it Matty P! [:D]
 14.

I don''t know about Lupoli but I do know it''s b*ll*cks to say Crofty was already a great winger before Roeder came to the club. He''s become a much better winger since Roeder joined us, and I think Glenn deserves a little bit of credit for that.
agree with that nuff - roedy dropped the boy back end last season, and he''s obviously ''beefed'' up in the gym, rather than at burger king ever since!!! this new strength sees crofty at his best when he plays direct, running at defenders, and going for goal... but having said that, would have bell on the right, leezer up front,  lupes on the left and hooley in the hole anyday...or lupes in the hole and hooley on the left - tons of creativity in that line-up...
Could work as a 4-2-3-1 formation, need someone to play the loan striker role, then have Patty and Clinkers holding it at the back, would mean the wide players (Lupes and Bell) would not have to do as much tracking back.
That could work a treat KC, but why would you leave Crofty out as he''s in a good run of form?
 15.

...I found this little snippet on norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com and found it interesting: And then, of course, there is Arturo Lupoli to factor into these equations. An unused substitute at the Madejski on Saturday as Roeder threw Darel Russell back up through the middle and installed Matty Pattison in the hole behind, the manager''s remarks afterwards made for telling reading given the way that the rumour mill was about to spin. "I think that maybe playing down through the middle against the physical presence of their two central defenders is tough for Arturo Lupoli," said Roeder in the Press conference afterwards. "That''s not a criticism of him - that''s how he is physically made. And at the moment - in a game like that - is probably better suited to playing in a wider position. "In a way that Billy Davies used him at Derby when he was on-loan from Arsenal; I think he played him a dozen times, but played him wide-left. And at the moment Belly [David Bell] is doing very well there. So he''s just going to have to be patient to get a game." If there is, indeed, something in the wind, then Lupoli might not have to be patient for too much longer. He could be filling Bell''s boots in little more than a fortnight. He played more than a dozen times for them, try between thirty and forty! Could be a good move for him though, especially if there is definitely some truth in the Bell for Ward rumour...thoughts??
I know you''re a big Loopiloo fan but to go to all the trouble to give the Coventry newspaper a story about Bell leaving in a swop deal so that your Loopiloo can play on the left wing is a step too far. Bell isn''t going anywhere and Loopiloo wont be our new left winger. [:)][:D]
I do not know what you are talking about CA, I am entirely innocent. [A]
 16.

Watching football out here feels a bit illicit like watching porn or something. I have to stream it illegally off the internet and cos its 10am I have to beware not to wake up the roommate. So my illicit encounters are just with who evers available!
Oh God, now I''m stuck with a mental image of you banging one off while moaning "yeah, do it for me Doc"!!![+o(]
Its gone down hill since Steff got injured, now there is a real man.
Yeah, but I reckon Doc is inherently dirtier!
I don''t know about dirtier, but you''d probably get a good hug from him at least!
 17.
Would depend on how Lupoli is defensively. I cant imagine he is the best of tacklers.
I did think about that, but then again, neither was Hucks in my opinion.
 18. *BUMP* [:)] I know Roeder has quashed, or tried to quash depending on how you look at it, the Bell for Ward rumour, but does anybody else have anymore thoughts on this topic? Does anyone think that Lupoli would have the ability to perform well for us on the left wing, should Bell still be sold or something??
 19.

I think Marshall would make a good captain even if he is a goalie and also Clingan would make a good captain
goalkeepers do not make great captains. great captains are usually centre backs/ centre midfielders who are always in thick of the action.
Fully agree,Marshall is to quiet anyway, and for me my team captain is Sammy Clingan.as voted for in the Evening news
I agree too Pete, got to be the boy Sammy for me followed by the Doc.
 20.
What''s he running on about? [:^)]
At first glance I thought he was giving Darius Henderson and Watford a kiss each! [+o(]

 22. How about this one, after the derby game next April: SUPREME CORT IN TOWN
 23.

Every time I watch his celebration it makes me smile!! The guy is so so so happy and it just proves that he does love the club!!
Altough I was celebrating like mad, when I saw him it didnt half make me cringe. it was like he had never seen us score before and didnt know what to do. Cringe moment only rivalled by Delias "lets be avin you"!
Oh come on Arthur, I think you''re being a bit harsh on him there, I don''t think anybody was expecting Crofty to score with a strike like that in the derby!
 24. In spite of our problems, I can see it being the same outcome and scoreline as last season at Carrow Road - 2-2.
