I don''t think it''s arrogant to expect to beat Colchester,Exeter,Wycombe,Brentford,Hartlepool and Walsall,

These should go down as wins at any stage of the season, there are ceratinly plenty of games that will come up this season where I wouldn''t be ''arrogant'' enough to suggest a win (Leeds,Charlton,Southampton), the fact that we have been handed a start like this against this set of teams gives us one hell of an opportunity.
I think you could be in for a bit of a shock to be honest. Quite a few teams playing against us are likely to be treating it a bit like a cup match. It''s not like we have some sort of divine right is it?

  2. No surprise there, in fact I''d almost forgot he was still with us. It was a huge risk by Roeder for bringing in someone so injury-prone. Despite his goal record, I didn''t think he did that badly for us overall in the games that he played, but his fitness, or lack of it, was always going to be an issue. He certainly was nowhere near as rubbish as Peter ''The Statue'' Thorne.

I wish him the best of luck in finding another club, he''s gonna need it with his injury problems. It wouldn''t surprise me if he calls it a day now.

There was also a man who started shouting at myself, Bigmarkcanary and several others all standing at the back for booing Delia and chanting Sack the Board. Things got very heated and two stewards rushed over to intervene, he claimed that unless people had £50m to buy Delia out we should shut up and appreciate what she''s done for the club.

    If you''re reading this - you''re a tosser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seconded, the idiot practically got right into my face after I''d dared to air my opinion. He asked me if I had £12m to invest into the club, to which I simply replied "No" and before I could say anything else I got "Well f**k off then!!", at which point the stewards intervened. There was just no need for it, surely everyone can see what her and the board have done to the club.

Except maybe those with rose-tinted specs!

Don''t think you''ve told us anything we didn''t already know Cam but guess as usual you like to make out you know something that we don''t to put us all in our places.

Did you know his hip was causing problems again? I didn''t

    Neither did i.

Does anyone not realise that CA is President of the Darren Huckerby Fan Club and is therefore the font of all knowledge with relation to her beloved Hucks? [;)]

  5. I think it''s obvious that he will be back in some capacity, but, as has been mentioned, he is still having problems with his hip so I wouldn''t be surprised if it''s not his last season as a player. If he comes back in some sort of coaching capacity, then that should give just about everyone connected with the club a big lift. His best years with us were 2003-06, but he is a legend and a true Norwich fan as well who should have been given a much, much better send-off than what he did get - and a very belated one at that!

I agree with all of his points, bar the one about letting Shackell go. It was NOT a ridiculous decision (I think I''m right in saying that we had Stefanovic, Kennedy and Archie from Spurs with us at the time he was sold - correct me if I''m wrong somebody!), although with hindsight it would have been more preferable had we just loaned him out until January instead of selling him, for him to come back like the player he has done.

  6. Here''s a bit more about Neighbour, from BBC Sport:

    Former Spurs star Neighbour dies

Former Tottenham, Norwich and West Ham striker Jimmy Neighbour has died suddenly at the age of 58.

Neighbour, who played in Spurs'' 1971 League Cup-winning side, suffered a heart attack at home while recovering from a hip replacement operation.

Neighbour was on Tottenham''s books from 1966 to 1976 and returned to the club in 2000 as coach of the under-17 side.

He also represented Seattle Sounders and played the last of his 304 Football League games on loan at Bournemouth.

He made his debut for Spurs against Stoke in October 1970 and playing his final game for the Cherries against Wrexham in 1983.

Before rejoining Tottenham he spent four years as a coach at Enfield, helping them win the FA Trophy in 1988.

He was also youth development officer at West Ham, assistant manager at Doncaster and boss at St Albans.

    --------------------------------------------

Very sad news, Graham Paddon and Ken Nethercott one year, now Jimmy Neighbour this year.

My thoughts and condolences naturally go to all his family and friends.

  7. What a game this should be. Roberto Martinez is doing a brilliant job for Swansea, his side have adapted really well indeed to this league and still have a very good chance of making the play-offs. He has assembled an excellent squad of players who play football as a team, players like Leon Britton, Gomez, Darren Pratley and, of course, top scorer Jason Scotland have all been absolutely crucial to their success this season. Whether they can hold on to them though, to at least try and avoid the dreaded ''second season'' syndrome that has befell many other clubs down the years remains to be seen.

It should be particularly good because both them and us like to get the ball down and play good, flowing and attractive football. Indeed, Swansea are probably the best footballing team to have come to Carrow Road this season. We also have a tendency to play better and get some excellent results against the better sides in this division. Our results against the likes of Wolves, Birmingham, Sheffield United (at home) and Cardiff are proof of that. This is why I fancy us to go the Liberty Stadium today and get something. I think we certainly can as Swansea haven''t won in four and our management team won''t accept another lacklustre performance like the one against Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday. It might also depend on Gunny getting his team selection right for this, something he simply didn''t do last weekend, and I''m backing him to do just that.

Here''s what I think Gunny should definitely go with this afternoon, injuries and fitness permitting of course:

    --------------------Marshall---------------------

    Otsemobor----Shackell--Doherty(cpt)--Bertrand

    Croft-----------Clingan--Russell------------Gow

    --------------------Lee--Mooney---------------

Subs: Nelson (GK), Drury (LB), Lappin (LCM/LM), Carney (LW), McDonald (ST).

If Gunny picks that side and they play to the best of their abilities, then I''m confident we can take a very useful point off them (I''d love all three, but Swansea are a tough team on their home patch). I''m going for 1-1, with Alan Lee to score his first goal in Canary colours!

    COME ON YOU YELLOWWWWWS!!!!!

  8.
We have Mooney, Gow & McDonald... The only good thing about Lee is that there is no love lost between him and Ipswich. Good be useful for at least that game - or is Gunn thinking further ahead???
Mooney and McDonald don''t really offer the same as what Lee does, plus Gow can drop back into midfield or the left wing if needed. I hope he doesn''t though, I want to see more of his partnership with Mooney.

  9.
I''m guessing it will be

    ------------------Marshall------------

    Semmy-----Doherty--------Shackell------Bertrand

    Croft----------Clingan------Pattison----Carney

    ----------Gow---------Mooney----

Subs - Nelson, Lee, Cody, Drury plus another??
Absolutely CA, that is exactly what I would go with, with Lappin sitting on the bench. [:D]

  10.
Yet another loan signing that doesn''t really make sense. Do we like paying wages for players for the sake of it?
Why does it not make sense to you when Killen is back in Scotland and Cort isn''t match fit?

  11. Well well well. I don''t mind one single bit having him on board, as a target man I always thought he was quite useful. Makes sense really as Killen has gone back to Celtic and Cort probably not fit enough. He may not even get a game though as the Gow/Mooney partnership is working quite well - although I hope this deal isn''t at the expense of the possible Mooney extension.

Never thought I''d say this, but welcome aboard Mr Lee - how I''d laugh if he plays at Portaloo Road and ends up scoring the winner for us LMFAO

Also, someone on another Norwich site has joked that we probably need the car park at the back relaid with tarmac, which is why we signed the pikey!

Wow, how impressed am I with that? An absolute top, top man. We are so lucky to have had him as part of our playing staff. For any budding young footballer worth their salt, he is an absolutely fantastic role model to learn from and take advice from. I''m very impressed with what he''s had to say and also impressed that he bothered to take the time and the trouble to come down for one day and do this. If I was Gunny, I would be on that phone begging for him to come out of retirement, just until the end of the season, and try and help us out at both ends of the pitch. In my opinion, we actually miss him more than what we do Hucks. Such a big influence on and off the pitch.

Hopefully the young lads have taken all what he''s said on board. They are so lucky to have had an ex-player with his experience come along and spend the day with them. Now I can only hope that they not only beat Man City on their own turf on Saturday, but go all the way and win it too. What a huge boost that would be for this club.

Thank you, Sir Dion. I''m sure that there will always be a place for you in the heart of every City fan who was lucky enough to see you grace our proud colours. [:D]
Pretty good considering the number of people moaning
Yep, 17,000 mugs happy with the current board. Delia and doncaster must be absolutely delighted. What a joke.
Well there certainly is a mug in this case, but I''m telling you now that it''s not any of the 17,000 people your referring to.

The fans love the club, and are forever loyal to it, whatever happens. Of course their not happy with the board, don''t be ridiculous. The board have foreseen the demise of our beloved club, and don''t be so daft as to think the fans forgotten. But the fans will always do whatever they can to make this club what it should be, and they''ll never go down with a fight, and let it be known that they love their club, and will continue supporting it to the bitter end.

This is not a showing of support for the board, rather than a showing of support for the club. And if you think otherwise, bugger off, cos this is how it works at Norwich City. Forever backed and forever loved.
Well said John, couldn''t have put it better myself. I wonder if fearofambition is one of these mugs and I wonder if he/she will be at the forum tomorrow night to air his/her views?

    Whaddya think? [:^)]

  14.

Cup semi finalists..............again![Y]
Fully agree Wiz! A great result on an otherwise miserable day! I feel another day out at Wembley coming on! Up the Trawlerboys! [Y][:D]

(League and cup double anyone?) [<:o)]
Actually mate, they''re on for the treble as they have the Suffolk Premier Cup to go for as well.

See you in May again. [B] [:)] [<:o)]

    We get relegated then what?

Do we bounce back and go straight up, settle for mid table League One obscurity, or God forbid, do a Luton and get relegated again!

I would go for the obscurity route as we''re already half way there.[:(]
In a good mood this morning then Wiz? Cheer up, we''re going to get a good result tomorrow. I''ve looked into the reflection on DD''s shiny head and I saw good news at 4.45pm tomorrow. What are your balls telling you?
My balls are predicting a thumping Dion, mind you, they''ve been cracked for weeks![:S]
I thought you''d ordered some new balls Wiz?
Magic balls have to come from Narnia and they''re behind with delivery because they''ve had a bit of snow....
Do you think he''ll have to use his mighty magic wand instead then? [:^)]
