  1. This is when you need a player who can beat 3 men then curl the ball into the top corner. We use to have a player like that think he went to the USA?
  2. I have to hold my hands up and say that I got it wrong. I was gutted with his appointment and expected him to take us down but the job he and Lee Clark have done is exceptional. They saved us from the mess Peter Grant left and are slowly turning us into a team to be proud of again. I just wish they had more money to spend and did not have to rely on the loan market. I have a sneaky feeling we will finish above the binners!
  3. I sit in the Norwich and Peterborough lower tier and I am surrounded by idiots. Most of them are over 50 and moan for the sake of moaning, saying that I think that the majority of Norwich fans know there football.
  4. I would like to see Ryan signed on. He can play in different postions and is only going to get better with age. With the talent in front of him at Chelsea it is unlikely he will break into the side. Not sure how much they would want for him but anything under 700k, could be good business for us.
  5. I would agree with most of the comments on here, Croft is getting better but needs to produce a better cross. I would like to see Hux stay as he is still a great player at this level but he has not been up to his usual standards this season.
  6. I can''t see us signing many players in the current transfer window and with several players only on loan, we have a small squad. Dion will retire but how many of the following players will Glenn Roeder want in his squad (just my opion which players might get the chop). Rossi Jarvis,Ryan Jarvis,Spillane,Cave Brown,Martin,Arnold,Smart,Lappin,Cureton,Eagle and maybe Hucks. I think that Martin,Spillane and Smart still have time to prove themselfs out of the youngsters and of the older players I would only keep Hucks. If several of these players where to go, you are not going to get to much money in. Glenn will have to attract a lot of new faces to get a squad capeable of competing at the top end of the table but how much money the board will make available will be the key.
  7. When we where top of the Premier league and playing the binners at home, we where singing "We are top of the league Say we are top of the league". They would chant back " you never been in europe". So the following season after getting into europe we sang "Who''s in europe now S**m, who''s in europe now!" and Jerry Goss gave us a 1-0 victory. Not the funniest chant ever but the sad muppets had no response.
  8. Why not have naked mud wrestling (ladies that is) in the centre circle. I would renew my season ticket even if we are relegated!
  9. I put a thread on here pre season, after speaking to a Hearts fan on holiday. He thought that he would of  joined Rangers or Celtic after his impressive performances for Hearts. He was about the only player they would sing about. I have not been over impressed with Brellier but like Dave the striker he might come good, if they get the chance. Safri took time to settle into the club and Iwan Roberts was very poor in his first season but became a legend.
  10. I would like to see Chris Martin given a decent run in the team, he played well last night considering the lack of service he got. His goals in the second half of last season helped us to mid table, when we strugled near the bottom three. I think he could play just behind Jamie Cureton as he has the abilty to find a killer pass from deep. As well as getting on the score sheet himself. This would then give us the option of Hartson coming of the bench if you want to go more direct.
  11. Confused Des did you mean Tony Cottee, as I think that Claridge never put on a city shirt. Maybe Im wrong?
  12. Great support today, just as it should be. What do you think two chins/shed? Did it sound good on the TV.
  13. We need to back the team for the whole match today. The players are not full of confidence, so do not get on there backs. Give the binners as much grief as they deserve, let them know who are the greatest sets of fans around here. Get a result today then we have something to build on, be the 12th man! ON THE BALL CITY
  14. I remember Hamiltons first game, a win at Portman Road. What I remember more is a big defeat live on Sky at Wolves. One of the worst performace I had seen until recent times when now so many seem to spring to mind. He was another cheap option, I just hope this one comes off. Glenn seems a nice bloke, not likly to upset the board unlike a Martin Allen or Paul Jewell who would let ripp into them if they where unhappy with things. It''s a big job to turn this club round as I doubt there will be a big budget to spend on players and there are not to many players to sell on for futher funds. Good luck Glenn you are going to need it. I will be right behind the team on Sunday, as I hope all true fans will be. DONT turn on the team or the club infront of the binners as they would just love to see that! On the ball CITY
  15. I heard that Paul Jewell will be appointed on the 1st November as he had a clause when he resigned that he could not take another job until this date.  Jewell applied for the job so was not approached by Norwich.  Also Nigel Worthinghton reapplied for the job but I don''t know what the clubs response was.  This was told to me by a friend of a board member. I hope he is right. It would be a massive lift before the I*****h game, god how we need it!
