  1. Wolves are as good as we''ll see at Carrow Road this season, so in that respect it''s no disgrace to lose to a quality team. And while we are missing 3 or 4 players who would likely be in the team I think we could see enough tonight to see we are still a bit short of being a top side in this league.
  2. Nelson gives you more options because he sees where a clever little flick might come his way. Cam doesn''t really read those things or move to make them possible.
  3. Ah right, so the system we play now is more suited to their "nous". Their nous wasn''t the kind of nous we needed for a promotion effort last season or avoiding relegation the season before. But now, under the new system, their nous can be of help. Gotcha. I wouldn''t be surprised if he is on the bench but that''d still be a backward step.
  4. How much use was their "nous" when we got done by Millwall, Villa and Sunderland? How much use was it on our pretty poor campaign last season? Including things like the Brighton away disaster. How much use was it when we got relegated with a whimper? We''ve looked a better side without them and it''s not as if we haven''t got seasoned pros amongst the current group. At this point their inclusion for any more than making up numbers on the bench would look a step backward when, for the first time in the last year or two, we have actually made some steps forward.
  5. Clear penalty. Very weak from a well paid ref and assistants.
  6. Wildschut needs to play. There''s nobody better at beating defenders at the moment and we need that.
  7. Well yeah but he would say that. Happens all the time in football. People say things to buy themselves some time and lower expectations etc.
  8. I thought Reed could have stayed on with either Wes or Maddison sacrificed as they were both making a mess of everything.
  9. Yup, he''s not carrying the threat he has in the past where he made up for a lack of natural flair with pace and strength. He''s not letting opposing defenders know he''s there.
  10. Not all his fault. But he could do better/more.
  11. Otsemobor. Lightning quick. Cr@p, lazy footballer.
  12. How many better managers have Norwich had in the last 20 years? Probably only one, maybe two. It''s never going to be very exciting under Hughton but he can get teams promoted and will give them at least a chance of staying in the Prem. Many worse managers out there.
  13. Should never have had the job in the first place.
  14. Based on what we have seen so far this season he is the best passer of the ball at the club. And clearly he can create a chance. If he had a bit of pace about him he probably wouldn''t be playing for Norwich.
  15. Vrancic is a good technician with vision and awareness. However, he needs to have the right players around him to be able to play them in. Short of options at times today.
  16. Vrancic was one of the best players on the pitch this afternoon.
  17. Yeah, Winks has got a few more ideas on the ball than Henderson. He''s a good little player. Really what they need is the player that Wilshere could be.
  18. Bit worrying that we play the uninspiring duo of Henderson and Dier to give us solidity and end up being left exposed numerous times.
  19. If you look at the fees for Redmond, Brady and Murphy I don''t think we''ll see a massive jump to the £20m mark for Maddison. Also, look at Pritchard, at a similar age to Maddison he was flying for Brentford and he has probably got more goals in his locker.
  20. Don''t think anyone is paying £20m for him at the moment (unless it''s a desperation signing) but he is a very good player.
  21. I wasn''t being awkward for the sake of it. Plenty of players know their way around a football pitch at 22 better than Josh does. And I''m a fan of Josh, fwiw.
  22. One of the best midfielders we''ve had in the last 10-20 years. He worked hard and played well for the club. But now we have some other good lads in midfield to go forward with.
  23. Unless he goes to one of the big 6-7, which is unlikely, then the majority of other Prem teams will always be looking over their shoulder at the relegation scrap or fully in it. Remember how good Pritchard was at this level 2-3 years ago and look where he is now.
  24. He''s fairly inexperienced at this level of football. And maybe that''s reflective of his level of ability and application. But he''s not a kid.
