1.

Really disappointed that these two have been let go unless we bring in better replacements. Lets take Russell first, one of the only midfielders we have on the books with Championship experience. Key last season in the diamond formation although some people have rapidly forgot this, he was great in front of the back four/won the ball & gave it simple which every team needs. One major concern is who is going to win the ball in the middle of the park? unless Crofts steps up to the plate & Korey, but again these two are untested in this division !? Fox/Lappin/Hughes/Gill/Tudur Jones/Surman/McNamee cant tackle between them! Secondly Spillane, looked very good in some games at right back and the game he was injured in he was outstanding. Good youngster with versatility would have been a key squad player.Would have pushed Martin all the way for a first team start. Also for me I want to see us keep this "local grown talent" on board as much as possible, players that really want to wear the shirt. Lambert in my eyes is a top,top manager but I sincerely hope that these positions will be addressed..................
What exactly you basing that on? You''ve seen hardly anything of Crofts/Tudor Jones/Surman/Gill/Fox and to an extent, Hughes... So unless you''re basing it on guess work, your post has already become another to put in the.. "I don''t really know, but I do like moaning" catergory.
Seen enough of Gill/Tudur Jones/Lappin/Hughes to know they are not ball winners, plus Surman/Fox are not renowned for this being one of their strengths. So guess work it is not!. So Mr know it all you have no concerns at all then?, so your post is another "shove it up your ar$e!?"

 3. Gutted in many aspects especially with him being home grown  think he is an excellent player and certainly an excellent squad member who can be utilised in a number of positions. Another loss to the squad today with Russell leaving also, I hope we have some deals lined up because the squad is the weaker for these two decisions! Good luck Michael, hope you have a long & successful career.....
 4. Disappointed plus also suprised that hes gone, outstanding last year IMO and a massive factor in the success of the diamond formation. Lets hope the new boys eg. Crofts & Fox are capable in that poistion because Gill and Tudur-Jones are not good enough thats for sure Good luck Darel and thanks for last season, I would wish u good luck but fear you may end up playing for that Northern scum so hope it all ends in tears if thats the case ;0)
 5. Not be a closet Leicester fan before I am accused of it!, as I lived most of my life in Leicestershire I have many mates that support that rabble! Reading between the lines and speaking to them it is believed Pearson has a fall out with Milan Mandaric over lack of funds for the new season & a new contract. Rumour is that Milan is keeping his cash for his recent brush with the CPS and subsequent monies owing, although unsure if there is any truth in this bit of the story?!? Leicester fans are gutted though as they think they are a bigger club than Hull, talk of season tickets being returned left/right & centre and that promotion is certainly a no-no if the move does happen.... Even easier six points now ;0)
 6. Being "another" commitee member I would echo the thoughts and above posts by CUSDP and the Butler.  We as a commitee certainly want whats best for the club & it supporters and a are always available to listen fully to others opinions whatever they may be. The more members that NCISA has obviously give us a louder voice and perhaps these so called "knockers" that have posted on WOTB should voice their concerns directly to us, I look forward to your feedback!
 7.

Shows we mean business and that probably Russell is going! To many people have believed all this "WE''RE SKINT" rubbish for too long. we have more money than we make out and always have had. If one reads the A/C''s carefully you''ll see that half the debt is a long bank loan that is being paid each year. When Norwich go on about the debt, its like someone with a £100,000 mortgage saying they are £100,000 in debt! The recent Tom Jones concert debacle cost the club a lot of money, something a club on the brink wouldn''t be able to do!
I wouldn''t necessarily say it means Russell is off as these are two different types of midfielders, what I would however say is that it must signal the continuation of the diamond, with plenty of cover for this now?                                         Hoolahan / Fox                      Surman/Lappin               Smith/Hughes                                          Russell/Crofts
Hopefully it will persude Russell to stay for me, why in his right mind would he want to go to Leeds?!, other than money. This could be the start of a building a half decent side & he would be a fool to jump ship. Best signing IMO since Huckerby..........
 8. Top, top signing! One of the best young players on the scene a few years ago bar none, well done Lambert! What was that yest Tilly??? ;0)
 9.

Would be a good signing especially if we are to continue with the diamond formation as he would be perfect for that left hand sided role, Lappin is def not championship standard. Lets hope we can make this one happen because for me that position is still particularly weak.
I don''t think he would be perfect for the left hand side role, the diamond works because Lappin is a natural left sided player who works hard with a left foot. Bailey is not a hard working midfielder hence he is played outwide because he neglects his defensive duty and he natural drifts inside, exactly why the diamond didnt work without Lappin.
Well we will have the opportunity to see "IF" he signs wont we young man?!. Has Lappin got defensive attributes beacause in the 25 games I watched last season you can count the number of tackles he won on two hands!
 10. Would be a good signing especially if we are to continue with the diamond formation as he would be perfect for that left hand sided role, Lappin is def not championship standard. Lets hope we can make this one happen because for me that position is still particularly weak.
 11. For me it would be a shame for Russell to go as IMO he is a proven championship player who still has a hell of a lot to offer the club. A very good season last year and him sitting in front of our back four played a crucial role in protecting dodgy Doc et al, also his ball winning skills & work rate are crucial in the engine room. For every Wes we need a Russell, his experience would be a definite loss for me...
 12. Welcome to the club David hopefully a good addition to the squad, certainly something that we have not got in our make-up at the moment. Unproven in some senses at this level but the main man obviously sees something in him. I remember when NCISA had their AGM earlier in the season and David McNally was the main guest but Lambert turned up and spoke very highly of David Fox then & what a cracking little player he was, a playmaker  & a good short passer possibly a "poor mans Paul Scholes?!". Lets see what the guy can do, could be a good bit of business. Funny how Paul Lambert mentioned two players that night and both now are in the yellow & green the other being Anthony MacNamee........
 13. Never seen so much fuss about an average at best player being released, fuckin'' unbelievable!. People questioning lambert & stating doc should be inducted into the hall of fame, we truly have some real numpties supporting us, delias reign of shitness really has pulled the wool over people eyes hey!. Thank god for mcnally/bowkett for showing some bollox otherwise we would still be mid table of div 1...
 14.
I think the decision to release the Doc is an absolute disgrace. An absolute disgrace. He''s came 3rd in our POTS vote for christs sake!! In a promotion winning season. I really am fuming. He is one of the first names on the team sheet for next season, along with Holt. He''s our best central defender FFS! I remember his first game away at Man Utd when he came on as a sub, and caused havoc in the air for the last 20 mins and then scored a few days later away at Newcastle. He has been a legend in my eyes ever since. His commitment to the club, his desire, his determination to the club, his mental strength is second to no-one. People were laughing earlier in the season when it looked like he was being let go, and he showed every single one of you who was laughing up as a complete mug by being our best defender this season. For me, as my favourite player, this decision is worse than Huckerby being released. A truly sad day for NCFC. Such a shame after yesterdays celebrations. There''s only one Gary Doherty.
Get a grip! You seriously need help from some of those statements, caused havoc in the air against Man Who & Legend!? Onwards & upwards!
 15. For me a good move by Lambert depending on who else he brings in, Doc must be one of the best  paid players at the club and Lambert probably feels he can get better value for money elsewhere. Performed well this season but lets not forget this was a poor league, struggled for a number of seasons in the championship IMO. All the best though Doc & thakyou for your contribution this season...............
 16. Cracking save from Marshall V Waghorn in the shoot-out though!  Waghorn would be a great addition to our squad for next year, bags of potential and I bet his parent club would let him out on loan again or sell at a reasonable price......
 17.
Look at this I found on a quick trawl thru Waccoe! Look at the dates on the original posts, and then look how the thread changes once the realisation has set in! [:P] http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=148580
Quality LC!, what a bunch of no mark losers! Really hope they stay in League 1 where they deserve to be...

Zak is far more composed with the ball at his feet, a better passer of the ball, better in the air than Doc or Nelson, expect to see  out of the current personel if still available next season Zak & Askou be the regular starters. Nelson is a Div 1 player at best and will be murdered in the championship and Doc has always struggled at this level for pace, I for one would not be suprised if Doc is here next year anyway as he is surely one of our best paid players at the club and is out of contract in the summer and possibly Lambert is thinking he can get a far better centre back for Docs salary?!?!
What a surprise someone with blinkers on when talking about Doc. It is quite clear since Lambert has come into management here the Doc has been rejuvenated and has shown a lot of confidence. If you actually watch Doc this season his cross field balls from the back have been superb as well as chipping in with 6 goals putting him as the highest scorer after the front 3. Also concerning Whitbread I hope he does really well for us (who wouldn''t) but he was shocking on saturday and it isn''t like he has been locked up in a dark room away from a football this season. He has been able to practice with the rest of the squad, yet his positional play was atrocious and never looked to pass the ball quickly and get things moving. I''m sure whitbread will improve with match time, but I don''t understand why we can''t analyse a performance by one of our players just because he hasn''t played much this season?
Blinkers?! Did you watch the game versus Tranmere?. Yeah ok Doc has performed OK this year and is certainly no world beater but lets remember we are in Div 3 and he certainly seems to have found his level! How many mistakes did he make on a regular basis in the championship? yeah thats right quite a few so perhaps it is you my friend that wears blinkers or perhaps yella & green rose tinted specs!? I stand by my inital comment Whitbread is far superior to any other centre back presently at the club and am confident that this will be proven next season as per Lambert prob thinks hence him stating he was his no1 target to bring to the club.......
So you think, after playing about 10 years in the top two tiers of English league football that it''s just this season that Doherty has found his level? Seems a bit of a silly thing to say to me. As for mistakes in the Championship...not a lot really. I mean people like you will put that kind of spin on in it to try and make a case to support your argument but those of us who have been watching Norwich over recent years and know a bit about football will know that Gary Doherty has done a fine job in the Championship for us. Unfortunately for us some of his team mates (and managers) wren''t able to perform to the required standard. Zak Whitbread probably is going to be a good signing but I think he''s only 3 or 4 years younger than the Doc and has done a fraction of what the Doc has done in the game. We have some good players in our squad but it''s the Doc who has played the most football at the highest level. That should tell you a little something (although it probably won''t).
B@llshit!, 10 years in the top 2 divisions  maybe but Spurs bombed him out for not being good enough and lets face it the demise of NCFC one of the main cornerstones has been Doherty- we have been poor since he signed says a lot for me........ You must have got so used to watching dross that you have become delusional about what makes a good player!, and yes I have watched The Grappler regularly make mistakes in the championship! I take it this is what you are referring to as doing a fine job in the championship?!?!?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj86h-CdJhs
One of the ''main cornerstones'' has been Gary Doherty?! What are you? some sort of tw@t? Doherty is not a ''main'' reason we got relegated...and if you think that you cannot be either thinking straight or support NCFC.
Players of  Docs standards over the last few years are the reason where we are - Fact! Tw@t! and yes I do support NCFC thanks very much and IMO Doc is one big reason we struggled in the championship.... I take it your confident if he is at the club next season he is the man to build our defence around?
You can''t change the goalposts you dickw0d. You said one of the main reasons was Gary Doherty. You did not say ''PLAYERS'' of Doherty''s standard.
Avoid the question! , typical Norwich fan! Head firmly stuck in the sand...
Oh you were being serious? Sorry! Although I don''t think we will ''build the defence around him'' (name one club which has done that) he will be a part of our defence next season due to him being our 1st choice centre-back. I thought you were a Norwich fan? So you''re saying your head is stuck firmly in the sand?
Thankyou, kind sir! Like I say I dont rate the player at championship level like many others......

 20.

B@llshit!, 10 years in the top 2 divisions  maybe but Spurs bombed him out for not being good enough
So a bit like Zak Whitbread not being at Liverpool anymore? Oh dear...you didn''t see that one coming did you? I mean at least Spurs paid money to bring the Doc to the club, at least he played a fair few games in the Prem and has clocked up a fair number of international caps. What''s Whitbread done since being told he wasn''t good enough for Liverpool?
In all fairness Zak was released by Liverpool as a youngster, 21 I believe. To further his career he more than likely wanted to move on to get first team football because lets face Hyppia & Carragher were one of the best centre back pairings in Europe at the time. He has played consistently well at Millwall since and lets judge him next season yeah?, if Lambert rates him how highly he does thats good enough for me.. Doc has done ok in Div 3, I will gladly admit if he performs well if he is still here next year but will you admit he is sh1te when he doesn''t perform? Ps. You failed to mention one of Docs abysmal performances I highlighted to you!?
 24.
Out of curiosity is everyone more upset by the omission of Norwich players, or the presence of three leeds players? [;)] Either way, Leeds fans will vote for Beckford or Snodgrass, everyone else will vote for Lambert. I expect Lambert will win comfortably, and to be honest he probably deserves it[Y] But Becchio?! This reminds me of when Liverpool fans tried to hijack Sports personality of the year a few years back, by voting for Peter Crouch to get into the final ten. I believe he actually had the second highest number of votes, but the BBC knew it was a joke and took him off the list! I can see why the PFA would put forward the highest vote getters, but some common sense is required shortly?!
Farce! complaint registered!
 25.

People here forget that yesterday was Whitbred''s first full 90 minute game of football in since about August. Give him a few more games before you judge him.
Totally agree with this. Think of how awful Nelson looked in terms of positioning and confidence when first thrown into the team. Now he looks to have found his feet. It''s good to get him in the team and playing, now hopefully he will find his feet and push for a starting place.
Yup, me too. Zak''s barely played at all in the last year or so, you''ve got to cut him some slack and let him get into the swing of things again. I did try to tell people not to write off Nelson after one game...
What''s the matter with you lot? Snap judgements are nearly always accurate, just look at the poster who described McNamee as "a waste of money" after his first ten minute sub appearance, or the one who said we "must sign Elliott long term". Joking aside, the Admiral has improved tremendously ( would he have played that little chip pass even three months ago?). As for Zak, I think he''ll prove himself to be one of Lambo''s best signings. He''s good in the air, has pace and is comfortable with the ball at his feet. I look forward to him carrying the ball out of defence and setting up attacks.
Spot on Beaus! Nelson has played well recently and for me was MOM on Monday V Stockport followed  very closely by MacNamee who scored and set up up Holts 30th of the season. Agree 110% on Whitbread who will no doubt be our first choice centre back next year due to the qualities mentioned and is superior to Nelson(league 1 player at best or did i mean sunday league?!) and Doc (struggled at Championship level before let us not forget, the grappler!). The "weakest link" has to be Lappin whose performances since the turn of the year have warranted nothing more than a 4!, I mean did you see the 2 pathetic shos he mustered on Monday?!?!? PMSL!. The only midfielder to not be on the scoresheet this season, d'' d'' d'' d'' effin'' useless! )
