  1. I can''t remember Keith Bertschin''s first game at Carrow Road but do recall Trevor Putney being greeted with a few mellow boos from the Barclay. Putney just won all the fans over with his all action style and effort and even gained his own chant from the faithful: Trevor, Trevor, Trevor, ala, the chant we gave Iwan.
  2. Looks like we could be beaten to both of the above and lose out on Iverson as well. Surely we need a pair of tall target men, not just one? Obviously one to act as cover the other? The board and manager have known for 5 to 6 months that the only target man we had on our books, Dion Dublin, was going to retire and they hav''nt got a replacement in even though we are 2, and it''s looking like it maybe 3 games into the new season!  This season as last season Stoke City had a plethora of tall strikers and a good sized squad with cover in all areas. A club, which at the time had a lesser stature than our own. This sort of incompetance from those in charge at our football club is what gets me.
  3. Well said! Give the Board and Peter Grant time and patience and it will pay in the long term. I''d much rather have Delia and Michael running this club with an intelligent and forward thinking manager such as Peter than perhaps many, many other setups at clubs in the Championship (Ken Bates and Dennis Wise anyone?) With regard to predicting that a new signing, or any new signing for that matter, will just not be up to the mark before he''s set foot on the hallowed turf, well thats just plain laughable, you never know, if perhaps ALL the negative, revellers in doom were maybe, just maybe, willing to open their minds a little and back ALL the players that wear the shirt of the team they ''support'' the performances on the pitch might reward their faith?
