1. These other teams deserve serious consideration. Leeds, Charlton, MK Dons, Colchester, Huddersfield, Millwall, Southampton and us. Can''t see Bristol Rovers in there. So thats 3 places available for 8 teams imo. Best for us I think will be a good chance of the lottery of the play offs !
 2. Worst team left in the competition at home please !
 3.
It''s not necessarily bringing in transfer fees from the sale of players, wages are part of the playing budget. There are far too many players in the squad earning more than they''re worth, Cureton for example, at best a bench warmer but one of the higher earners at the club. Russell and Doherty must be earning a serious amount because Gunn wanted rid of Russell and Lambert of Doherty. I think we''ll be able to bring in 1 or 2 in January but only if we can ship out a couple of fringe players, if we don''t go up this season we have to have another serious look at the squad and may have to offload a Russell or a Hoolahan because we simply can''t sustain our current wage structure at League 1 level.
Good fair points, I am sure we would get by without Curo & The Doc ( as Nelson is no better or worse ) and may be Tudor Jones or one of the youngsters could ultimately replace Rusty. I am glad you don''t feel that Wes is an imminent departure.[:)]
 4.
It''s pretty simple, he has to rid of a couple of players
Well like I said, imo Wes and Rusty are very important to the side, so who would you suggest we sell that would bring in enough money to reinvest ???
 5.
The fact is your a division 3 side we are a championship club We still be a championship club next season, you will be a division 3 club Oh by the enjoy the fa cup draw today Enjoy the first round of the cup as that the furtherest you''re gonna get  ha ha
What a pointless, stupid, childish drivel of a post not even warranting a discussion ![:$]
 6. Probably someone vwho was in temporary charge for one game, I don''t know WHO ???
 7. Not that I want to make comparisons, but Ted MacDougall did absolutely nothing apart from score goals and if Chris Martin scores half the goals he did I''ll be happy. Also, Chris Martin got a standing ovation when he left the pitch so there can''t be too many who thought he had a bad day at the office. Until we have a better option I am happy to see him in the side.
 8. PL is doing a fantastic job with the resources he has at his disposal and I think he has got far more out of them than Gunny ever would. However, we clearly have no funds and with the best will in the world we will not be able ( or will be very lucky to ) to retain our promotion push with the current squad. We will need re-inforcements in the January transfer window but realistically what are our options. Overall, apart from Holt and Askou, Gunny''s signings have been pretty average so to add to our squad by purchasing players we have to sell first. I would suggest that Wes and Rusty are our only seriously saleable assets but I believe their loss would compromise the team too much and unless PL has some secret gems available in the market place I don''t see what we have to gain. Wes and Rusty are proving very influential players at the moment. Perish the thought, but I''m going to mention anyway. If we have no money for purchases, do we have money for loan players. I noticed that on the league football highlights there were many loan players on show who were signifacantly contributing to their temporary clubs success ( Watford a clear case in point ! ). So did Roeder just have too many, picked some carefree duffers who were''nt comitted thus giving us all the impression that this was the wrong route to take. Is this our only real option available if we are to sustain a promotion push ??? What do you think ???
 9. I believe it clearly was a fitness issue and that there were players forced to be on the bench who had not fully recovered from injuries. Although I felt Norwich tired badly towards the end I think PL left it as late as possible to bring on any subs to prevent risking further injuries to recovering players on the bench. Swindon were a poor side and I personally think PL called it about right.
 10. Providing they KEEP us off the telly.......... Sunderland  1 - 4 MK Dons    1 - 2 Leeds          1 - 2 ..........there is a slim chance, admire your optimism though [:)]
 11. Peter Lorimer is the latest in a line of mischievous characters to announce that Norwich will finish in the top two. As I have said before, this is a deliberate attempt to make Leeds the underdogs and get them to raise their game whilst hoping to make Norwich over confident. Sorry PL this won''t happen with our own PL in charge. Of course had it not have been reported we wouldn''t even have to bother about it - don''t fall for it boys, just do the business !   Incidently, thats why I''m quite happy for the pundits to indicate that the Tractor Boys will get out of trouble and their first win is just around the corner. Hopefully they will still be looking round the corner preferrably in April 2010 [:D][;)]
 12. It will be an interesting day indeed ! Providing we treat it as just another league game, we could get a result. If we go there with too much of a revenge mission in mind we could well come un stuck. Cue the Doc to give away a pen and hot head Rusty to get sent off ( thats if they are both still here of course ). [;)]
 13. Well there ain''t many teams in the Scottish premiere so rather than leave it, Rangers & Celtic should be joined by Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd, oh.....and Man City. That should give some of us others a chance ! [:D]
 14.

I just wish Lambert would speak louder as I have difficulty in making out his quiet scottish accent. Of course I could always get my hearing tested ! [;)]
Your not the only one, i struggle to make out what he''s saying.
What a relief, I''ll cancel my appointment then [:)]
 15. 617, is there a prize for who gets the nearest ?[G]
 16. Bought one today in memory of my mum who died earlier this year. It made me feel good and the club are probably chuffed with my 25 quid aswell ! [:)]

 18. and I''m just as liable to get carried away as anybody. Huddersfield, first six league games 17 goals - last five league games 2 goals. What has happened to them, have they got injuries or something ? Things can change very quickly in football ! I just can''t see us not scoring goals though.
 19. Clearly Rovers never stood a chance once they realised they could not wear their famous Yellow and Green away kit !
 20.

This is not a slate at the man for starters. He is not consistent enough to be our CB when other players come back. I can say he did have a good game on tuesday night but today his old habits were starting to creep back in. Unescessary holding of players, wrapping arms around them etc.. He gives away too many free kicks for my liking. Looking at some peoples ratings of the game today for him on another post there are people saying that this was his best game for us in a long time. Doc back to his best. Can they be serious? He was much better on tuesday night than today! Thoughts on his inability to not grab an attacker?
No, but he is consistent ! Consistently holds and wrestles with the opposition as always so you know exactly what you are going to get. !
Just out of interest, can you name any central defenders who don''t get hold of opposition strikers because I can''t think of any.
No I can''t, but the trouble is " The Doc " always makes it so bleedin obvious that there is never any doubt who''se the guilty party !
 21. He was an entertainer, had the ability to make an ordinary save look spectacular. Never heard of him moving, I guess money was''nt so relevant then, he must have been very happy here. Whilst other players came and went, to me he was just a part of the whole set up which would never change. Slightly different these days eh ?

Love him or loathe him he deserves his place at the moment and with Spillane hobbling off, we are short of CB''s anyway, so he is there at least until Nelson recovers or we get someone else in ( a loanee no doubt ). Considering our injuries they are all doing a fantastic job !
 23.
I''m not.
Having been to see them at Wembley in the JPT and play off final, you can''t knock them. Nearly 40,000 singing " Goodnight Irene " in unison sends shivers down your spine, they are awesome !
 24. Rovers are a more settled, consistent, injury free side than us at the moment and I fancy them to win but I just can''t admit it[:S], so I''ll go for 2 - 2. Should keep me and my fellow Bristolian relations happy ! [:D]
