1.

Why Villa don''t sing this for John Carew, I will never know.
But to get anyone to sing it is another thing, especially when you''re a fifty something sitting in the Jarrold Stand. Mind you if I were p**sed - well, they wouldnt let me in anyway [:)]
Er quoted on your wrong post Mister Chops, what a muppet, I must be p**sed ![:D]

3.
Looks like Sammy Clingan to an alarming degree.
Exactly what I thought, and if he can progress to Sammy''s standard then he could be pretty useful to the team. I think he has been in the side and injured at the wrong times. Maybe all he lacks is match fitness and a run in the side ( depending on Rusty''s injury ). We are going to need Gill to perform at his very best against Walsall ( if selected ) as this is going to be a very tricky game.
4. He can head the ball, hoof it, and tackle. He can''t pass the ball and is one of the slowest CB''s I''ve ever seen. A great game yesterday and is clearly aware of his limitations. Fully committed and did''nt let the side down. Agree, a great squad player.
5. HOOL-A_HAN..................HOOL-A-HAN........................HOOL-A-HAN, HOOL-A-HAN     NAH NAH HOOL-A-HAN..................HOOL-A-HAN.........................HOOL-A-HAN, HOOL-A-HAN    NAH NAH HOOL-A-HAN..................HOOL-A-HAN, AND WE ALL LOVE HOOL-A-HAN HE''S G O N N A SCORE....ONE....MORE....THAN....YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! HOOL-A-HAN.................HOOL-A-HAN.........................( REPEAT ALL THROUGH THE GAME SO HE NEVER LEAVES ) IF HOLT IS A LEGEND, THEN WE''LL HAVE TO THINK OF ANOTHER SUPERLATIVE FOR HOOL-A-HAN [:D]
6. The truth is I think we were hoping to win with a minimal amount of effort but Carlisle scored first and put the mockers on that. To be fair ( as I watched the game in a nice cosy room on my lap top ) I found it pretty hard to get inspired by this game. The players seemed to struggle to get to grips with the game and our lack of pace in defence is now beginning to show itself ( 6 conceded in the last 3 games ). Having said that I thought Carlisle looked good and will hopefully take some points off of our promotion rivals during the campaign. Again I find it difficult to fathom out the differences in attendances at different clubs, has the flooding really had that much effect ? Good FA Cup win for Carlisle and the 3,700 fans went wild ! woohoo
7. Carlisle will be out to avenge the one nil defeat earlier in the season plus they will be really up for it after their 4 - 3 win over the MK Dons, therefore...............   3 - 0 to city  [:D]
8. Not a chance unless  Leeds suffer an unusual bout of injuries, suspensions and start selling players. Hoping for second place, really don''t fancy us in the lottery of the play offs.
9. Decent teams very rarely lose two home games on the trot. Convinced we were going to lose this one. Very pleased that we got a point.[:)]
10. I have to agree with the banana. Play offs, but no promotion [:(]
11.
You see, this is what staggers me about some of our supporters.  If we don''t concede goals, it''s because the teams we are playing are rubbish and not because our defence is doing a good job.  Enjoy the fact we''re solid at the moment and get off people''s backs.
And, this is what staggers me, I merely passed on an opinion through my own observations, I am SUGGESTING that it MAYBE because....I am not claiming other teams are rubbish and I am not on anyones back. I am a big fan of the Doc and Askou and enjoying my football thank you very much. Don''t be so touchy ![*-)]
12.

Tbh I am surprised our sluggish defence has''nt been breached more often of late, may be it will take a team like the Saints to show how vulnerable our defence really is.
This would be the same defence which has conceded 5 goals in the last 11 games, or a goal every 190 minutes or so, and only conceded the second goal at Leeds due to a catastrophic/freaky goalkeeping blunder? Yes, that''s vulnerability for you.
Yep, that would be the defence I am talking about. It could be more to do with opponents lack of guile to break through it rather than how good it is. Next week will tell us a bit more about it. I hope you hav''nt got your head in you hands afterwards [:)]
13. ..........................is a very long way away, we could be 10 points clear by then [;)]
14. Next week is also about 3 points in what maybe similar conditions, play like we did yesterday and it will be job UNdone ! [;)]
15. ......next week and I may begin to believe we have a chance of an automatic promotion spot. Play anything like we did yesterday and we will lose comfortably. Tbh I am surprised our sluggish defence has''nt been breached more often of late, may be it will take a team like the Saints to show how vulnerable our defence really is. An injection of pace ANYWHERE on the pitch is most definitely required as we do indeed look like a one trick pony. I genuinely fear for us at Southampton ! [:(]
16. Forster 9 ( what an unbelievable save ) arguably the player that won us the match The rest  6 If we don''t get any pace in the side to enable us to change things when we are struggling, we are gonna come unstuck sooner rather than later
17. Are, but don''t forget Delia was also in the shop window, maybe someone will take her off our hands [:D]
18. Somehow I can''t see Colchester letting us have any of their players under any conditions.
19.
Posts like these worry me. Yes, we''re doing well. No we shouldn''t start saying we''re "guarenteed" to make play offs. Talk like that just shows how conceited we are.
Correct, the talk is all about OTHER teams having a slump, losing their top scorer etc etc as if we are immune to all this....keep the sensible hats on please !!!
20. or a catalogue of injuries, or suspensions, or sell our best players, or lose our manager or................?????
21. A lucky 1 - 0 win for Bristol Rovers will do me. A couple of sendings off and a couple of injuries to key players of Leeds will do aswell :)
22. Youngsters tend to play without fear when they come in to the side and are allowed a bit of slack because, well because they are young. The problems start when the expectation levels are raised, Chris Martin being a classic case. I personally think he is coping well with the pressure but if Korey Smith''s form dips he will also find that being young will no longer be an excuse. I am also thoroughly enjoying watching the youngsters though.
23. " The state of the pitch will be a great leveller "  " We''ve got absolutely nothing to lose, all the pressure will be on Norwich "
24. We''ll just go out and enjoy ourselves, this is our cup final ! ( yuk )
25.
Am I alone in thinking that we gan get promotion this season with the current batch of players, and no additions? Save the money until next summer. Is this too risky for some? There are a few players on the books we know virtually nothing about yet; Wally, Tudur-Wotsit, the East European goal machine whose name eludes me and a few others, all floating around Colney on decent wages. These must possess something. Gunn was never that bad!
You are not alone as imo I think this is possible, but an injection of a couple of GOOD players in January will increase moral and increase competition for places when the going gets tough. Injuries suspensions etc. We do not have that big a squad of enough quality players. Imagine Hoolahan and Holt out for the same game
