  1. One Monday night the only person with any decency, honesty, integrity, passion, commitment and pride representing Norwich City Football Club, its Board, Coaching Staff and Supporters stared reality in the face. Shame on the players who have conspired against you Peter, may they break many a leg! I have never been so ashamed, embarassed and humiliated; that was lower than Fulham 05 Will the historians of this once proud club, totally eradicate those responsible for the current debacle; I do not want certain players recorded anywhere. Some of the players served under Worthington and are largely responsible for the total inept, inert, souless, gutless, heartless displays  of recent seasons. I cannot see any Manager wanting to risk his or her professional career to take on what has to be the most unprofessional bunch of miscreants to have disgraced this club and football in general. They are all too willing to talk to the media, yet not once did they show any sign that they themselves are willing or able to turn things around. The Board, the Coaching Staff, the Fans deserve better, please would those ultimately responsible for the departure of two managers in a little over 12 months pick up your P45''s The Club must know who the troublemakers are, expose them terminate their contracts forthwith (and no do not pay them another penny, we have been conned too often for too long!). I am proud to be a Norfolk Man and glory in so doing; I cannot say the same as a crest fallen canary supporter; previous squads of less able, lower paid harder trained individuals would have wiped the floor with that shower on Monday night; they are the ones that gave this club its pride, its good name is passion, and the reason why it has been so well supported over the years. Damn those responsible, the club will live on, the supporters will sing loud and proud once more. Till next season.
  2. On Tuesday night without noticeable absent friends, the 1st Team managed to pass the ball and play a decent game. This is in sharp contrast to the side inherited by Peter Grant which carried a lot of baggage from the Worthington era. That is despite several training sessions, advice on formations, tactics how to play the opposition etc We have had the Huxster''s outburst about his missing hod carriers; not improved since he was 18 and playing for Lincoln City; that is why he was not more successful in his playing career; and opted for a plying career then; e.g. promising much but delivering very little over a season. Enter two young Fledglings Spillane and Jarvis and the revival of the Footballing Spirit that is Norwich City Football Club Our history is littered with success as underdogs against so called better opposistion particularily in the FA and League Cups. It would be fool hardy to suggest our current predicaments can be solved by a blank cheque, new board, new management, new squad etc. The problems lie with the Players on the pitch, doing what they are trained to do, taking responsibility; yes Huxster, you identified that we need someone to put their foot on the ball; are you all talk or are you prepared to have a go..........
  3. Mellow Yellow, Thank you for your response, and I kind of get where you are coming from; however in this day and age I think not being a chop and change board may serve us well in the long run. The frustrating thing is balancing the books especially when players wages seems to take up 70 to 75% of the kitty. There was a time when a 20,000 strong fan base would adequately cover the "running" of any club in the Chumpionship, however the stratospheric players wages has put paid to that. I can remember when players wages, lifestyles etc were not that far removed from the average supporter. I used to travel by train from Peterborough to Carrow Road most home games, stood on the Riverend, often used to meet assistant Manager Kenny Brown before the match. I consider some of Bondie''s Boys the best, most entertaining TEAMS ever to grace the hallowed turf. My most furvent wish for 2007, is that Peter Grant is enabled sufficient funds to build his team, that certain wastrels are shown the door, and that a goodly number of Acadamy Boys are given a fair run; with proper support from the fans. Ultimately I would like to see Performance Related Pay, whereby Players are paid according to where their team finishes; hopefully any spare cash would be ploughed back into fixed rate Transfer Fees commensurate with the position of the selling club, and the achievement or otherwise of the playing being sold/exchanged; I suppose lots of monkeys will require lots of peanuts. Wishing you well Mellow Bondsman
  4. What has happened to the redoubtable spirit of NCFC, you know the ''59 Cup Run, beating Man U in the FA Cup, promotion to the old 1st Division, League Cup Finals, Relegation/Promotion???? The tradition of NCFC was not necessarily built by Stars such as HUX, but rather have a never say dye spirit and passion by the Bucket Load! The current 1st Squad, with the exception of Earnshaw, Dublin, Shackell are all overpaid underachievers............ If you asked the majority of Players what there ambition is with NCFC they will tell you/Sky and the media in General PROMOTION to the Premier League!!! OK! Well let us see your ambition on the pitch then! I don''t buy the Hux Hype, ask Coventry, Leeds, Newcastle and Man City fans, 2003/04 was the only time Hux ever performed consistently! 2004/05 was supposed to be the return of the HUX to the Premier to prove his critics wrong. didn''t happen, never was going to happen either! 2005/06 would the Hux be the scourge of the Chumpionship?? Nah! like the rest of the squad, flashes and the puff! like a damp squib! 2006/07 not exactly re-kindled the old fire, still gobbing off to officials, got his extended Con-tr-act just in time for Christmas; or was it an early retirement pressie??? Unfair on Hux, wot probably the highest paid player on the books, based on a one season wonderment. Of course the board should have sacked Worthless earlier, if Delia''s commitment had been matched by half the Board, we would not be in Debt;! The Wiz want''s Delia out, can he find a suitable replacement with the financial clout, of course not! Sack Peter Grant, and get a name in, oh yeah such as whom?? With next to nothing to spend!! Sack the Coaching staff, who week in and week out Train, and Prepare these Muppets who once they cross the line on Matchday, completely switch off! Come the end of the season, if the Squad have not dragged us down to the depths of relegation, it will take a massive summer clearout, an influx of team players and oh yes Supporters who get behind each and every player in an NCFC shirt, and don''t resort to booing yer own during the Match. Judge not less ye be judged Wizard, Smudger, Mello Yello; I used to enjoy reading your opinions, several seasons ago, what happened to good constructive critisism???? Chopping and Changing points to rough seas rather than calmer waters; ask Navman! Belated Merry Chrimbo; may 2007 be happier new year!
