2.
I guess "polar" is short for "polarised thinking" eh? I suggest that it is infact sheep like you who are trotting out the oh so boring mantra in defence of your alleged saviour.  Get a life mate and look at the bigger picture....or are you just another club employee/numbnut worrying about your job? It''s those who question events at CR that will ultimately restore pride around the place...not those of you who sit on your hands pathetically applauding mediocrity as the "new" norm. So....haven''t you got something more worthwhile to do with your time?....like maybe saving the planet?
Eh!

 4.
"Forget all the negative talk of recent weeks, which I must admit is falling away a little, (are you reading Smudger?) this great football club is on the up."
I agree the negative talk has died down a little and that is down to 2 reasons. 1) Smudger and cluck have posted no where near as much as usual over the last couple of weeks, i guess this is as most of the posts have not been about bad performances or the board. 2) Grant is starting to have an influence over the Team and they have started to play a little football.
 5. Last year there were 2200 Fans on the waiting list at this time (myself being one of them) and this was capped at 2200 as the club would of exceeded its allocation of season ticket holders. This year there are only 1185 people on it, which in my opinion shows a reduction in interest of new support. Thinking hypothetically here, Say the club (expecting a slump in renewal) has processed the renewals faster than last year to achive a similar or even bigger figure to publish to the local media, hence making it look like there is as much if not more interst in the club and hence maybe encouraging others who were debating whether or not to renew/get a ticket to either renew or join the waiting list through fear of missing out?
 6.

my kids told me in the second half they heard him tell a ballboy to f*** off. if this is true did anybody else hear it? they sit at the front of the n&p so were close at the time. if this is confirmed is it possible to put a complaint in against him to the authorities? also the gestures to the fans at the end of the game could be construed as incitement so can he be reported for that?
Presumably the crowd had done nothing whatsoever to wind Mr Bywater up? I find it pathetic that a crowd can swear at and abuse a footballer for the entirety of a game and then go running to the police the moment he raises two fingers to them. Last time I checked football fans we renowned as being a fairly thick skinned bunch with a good sense of humour and personally I find the rush from some people to register their shock and horror at Bywater''s actions a bit embarrasing. I''m as sick as anybody about losing last night, particularly in that manner, but the rush to report this to the authorities saddens me. We have enough problems with ''compensation culture'' in this country, lets not bring it in to our football grounds.
Well said Shack Attack. How can we, as supporters, expect to have it both ways ? Some of the things we get away with in the heat of the moment at a game would probably lead to a court appearance if we behaved similarly elsewhere. All the '' winding up ''  and banter that goes on in the stadium is all part and parcel of being at a match and makes for a better atmosphere. If we''re truthful how many of us can honestly say we don''t enjoy having a '' go '' at the opposition ? Sportsmen are renowned for '' sledging '' each other, particularly in cricket, in the hope that the opponent should lose concentration at a vital moment and I think they too enjoy fans banter........City legend Robert Fleck positively thrived on it.  Things can go too far - as the Eric Cantona episode at Selhurst Park illustrates - but for me one of the highlights towards the end of our Tamworth experience was the corner flag exchange between their corner taker and some City fans in which their player was suggesting that he knew their wives and girlfriends rather better than they might otherwise have wished ! At that stage the hosts were 4-1 down, there was but a couple of minutes to go and both sets of players and fans had enjoyed the whole occasion. It rounded the day off quite nicely........
I seem to recall Huckerby''s celebration to his first goal at the Tamworth game! Unless it had a different meaning or i missed something, it was the "Easy,Easy,Easy,Easy" chant (i thought "he can''t do that") and also included the hand clap over the head. But nothing ever came of it or was said about it and as you say both sets of fans enjoyed the game. My point is crowd encitement happens almost every game in one form or another, but aiming a mouthfull of abuse at a ball boy is a disgrace and should serve some form of punishment!
 7. i seem to remember a caller on canary call after the Derby game saying similar things, his argument was though whether the players could actually understand Grants accent!
 8.
No, just that the bloke is an unprincipled t*****.
what are you talking about? i wish people like you would would just disappear, you are a complete discrace to our club, calling anyone be it poster, player or former player a t***** is un-acceptable!
 9. its gotta be as Champions! Cardiff was a Brilliant day ,but so was the atmosphere in the city outside city hall, thing that tips it for me is the 12 Hr que around CR.Get some extra ticket office staff sorted out if it happens again, Delia!!!! preferably all of them being like the young blonde girl in the office under the new corner stand. You know the one;-)
 10. What about Sylvain Legwinski deent player was good at Fulham and for some reason has ended up with them he''d fit in well here. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/i/ipswich_town/5294166.stm
 11.

He Could just be the new bellamy, lets not get ahead of ourseleves but he is  only 18 and his goal record speaks for itself, dare i say it, it''s better than Earnshaw''s! That is  3 goals in 4 league starts, and 4 goals in 5(3) games!  Not bad hey, let''s just not put too much pressure on him  and get him on  a contract!
Good point - he is more like Bellamy than Sutton or Wallcott I would say! He certainly doesn''t seem to be affected by pressure at the moment but then maybe that''s because there isn''t that much currently! Let''s keep it that way!
So who would we compare him to? I''ve seen very litte of him but he''s not really a pace player is he? Pace is a big part of Bellamy''s game. And he''s not a target man. Perhap''s he could be an Andy Cole type, even Van Nistelrooy (ok ok, let''s not get ahead of ourselves!) but he does seeme to share those player''s absolute instinct when anywhere near the goal. Right place right time, fox in the box, that kind of player.
He is def more of a Sutton player, but not as much of a target man as he was, and again as you say is not as quick as Bellamy or Earnie, you mention Andy Cole and Van Nistelrooy but i rekon he''s more of a young Alan Shearer! Either way he''s made a big impact on the team and could be responsible for turning the whole team around with his keeness and enthusiasm to go out every game and prove himself!!!!
 12.

The binners have just signed Francis Jeffers on Loan? he would of been ideal for us on a month loan,We''ve tried to get him numerous occasion, so what makes them more aluring than us?
Would you want to play under a manager like Peter Grant? a lucky 3 -2 win against Luton and everyone is saying "PG is World Class" that sums it up for me!
Why is it that certain people cant leave their "i hate Grant / the Board" Posts out of genuine discussions like this one? this completely backs up what other posters are saying on this site, and that is that this message board is no longer a message board its a full time slanging match and some people are so obssesed with getting the manager / board out they would rather we lose so that they can back their own arguments up. And now i''ve jst done it, but, Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
 13. The binners have just signed Francis Jeffers on Loan? he would of been ideal for us on a month loan,We''ve tried to get him numerous occasion, so what makes them more aluring than us?
 14. you dont mean the first caller??? who was at work on Rose Lane (at this time of night)
 15. i was there and we only had 3 shots on target for the complete game and were lucky to get the point we did, the worst performance i''ve ever seen. Were you there????????????
 16.
Sorry Moderators, now we''ve equalized i''ll slag off Gallagher more politely, so this aint deleted as well! He''s bloody useless, if he stays in goal i think we are doomed. 1 point tonightr isnt great and we need a win at Barnsley. Gallagher cant catch, cant kick and cant stop shots, not good for a flippun goalkeeper. Rant over
Errr! we Won "don''t turn the wieless off or post untill the games finished. but agree he need''s replacing.
 17. Good un, it''s no coincidence that there are more threads like this poping up and there are a few people out there just to cause friction, it makes them feel important., i replied to a post earlier called The sad decline of this messageboard .It is the minority who think that upsetting fans is the way to make them change their views and beliefs.
 18. No dis-respect to Jarvis, but why cant we get an emergency Loan of at least a half decent striker for a month or so to replace him/thorne/earnie/brown/dublin?
 19. Thank you Shaun, i agree with you totaly! i''m fed up with the divide among "Fans" taking over a simple harmless thread. just like the thread "does anyone know?", a simple thread for a genuine fan trying to find one of our players success. Everyone has their own opinion but change the record once in a while. The only thing that is for sure is that the club is not doing as well as it can (by far) and yes Saturday was one of the worst performances i''ve ever seen, but it isn''t fair on posters when personal slanging matches start taking place between fans on almost every thread with no relation to the initial post!
 20. He should of been a good signing, but he addmited while signing he wanted to wind down his carrer, what better way to do it than going to the training ground every day getting relaxing massage''s on various "injuries", being Fed and Watered, Oh and getting £9000 a week for your efforts! Anybody who says they want to play for you so they can wind down their carrer should be a big warning sign.
 21. Jarvis! Its proven that all he need''s is to play football, but we already knew that after he got a few appearances for us in the Prem and played well (Goal against Liverpool). At last PG has given him a chance, although its at a lower level and now Martin is on the scene. Maybe the same can be said for Hendo, but i think thats just wishfull thinking!
