1. So it seems Madrid play music when they score.Bloody tinpot club...
2. From the magical land that is twitter...Someone just asked me when Aston Villa kick off... "Usually about every 20 minutes."
3. I''m sure they''ll be showing those goals from 2 years ago on Match of the Day tonight as they are so very important to this season... oh actually hang on they might. After all Swansea are second only to Barcelona.
4. There is a stark difference between making racial gestures and using language which targets an individuals race to making comments about sheep shagging. For instance, a persons race isn''t a choice. It is merely the colour of their skin and how anyone in modern society can think it acceptable to single someone out for discrimination based on that deserves everything they get.The decision to enjoy the company of animals on the other hand is a concious one. Yes it may be a practice handed down through the generations, but ultimately it is a choice made by the individual, and a questionable one at that. Football crowds chanting things relating to this choice could hardly be regarded as "racist". It is merely a stereotype. Very much like we Norfolk types all enjoy keeping things in the family, allegedly. It is very concerning that more and more incidents appear to be occurring, perhaps a case of knuckle draggers trying to out do each other, without truly understanding the implications. However, it is heartening to see the majority condemning those who are guilty and bringing it to the attention of the appropriate parties. Hopefully the message will get through eventually. On a different note, it is amusing the see the level of bitterness coming from Wales. Perhaps a case of believing the hype...

6. Why is there only one monopolies commission? Why when the doorbell rings, does the dog think it''s for him?Why is abbreviation such a long word?
7. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01bncfgCouldn''t see this posted anywhere so thought I''d bring it to your attention. At 9 tonight on good ol'' BBC3 there is a prog about homosexuality in football and is presented by Justin''s niece. Could be good, might be crap. It is BBC teen after all.
8. I know I''m not really in a position to criticise being sat in the River End, but do folk know any tunes other than Sloop John B? The majority of songs sung these days all seem to be to this one tune and it doesn''t seem particularly inventive.Other than On the Ball we don''t really have any songs that are truly are own or distinctive. I seem to remember back in the good old days of League One when Orient turned up and had a chant of East East East London which was responded to with the Barclay and Snake Pit chanting East Anglia. Sounded impressive and had some identity to it.It''d just be nice to hear a little more variety in new songs.
9. Perhaps it''ll act as the kick up the bum his spell with Luton proved to be. That''s not to say he''s played poorly when given the opportunity with us, he''s just not appeared to have quite the same level of determination that he did when he last returned from a time away from the comforts of Colney. Of course he doesn''t run and all that as those on Canary Call so often argue [:|]
10. I look forward to watching from a far as their next big name manager signs a wealth of Premier League talent with great levels of experience of the game. Of course there will be a slight up turn in fortunes, a few wins and decent performances and then a steady slide back to defeats and moral boosting draws against playoff chasers.Thank whatever religious figure you care to choose that we are no longer in that position and don''t look like being in such a place in a hurry again.
11. The initial line was an attempt at sarcasm. However, the legend''s opinions of the match only seem to be negative even when Goreham is making completely contradictory statements. Perhaps he''s just disappointed he''s no longer involved in a team that is performing far better than the one he was part of back in the day.
12. Who is the miserable git who is alongside Chris Goreham today? Not once has he actually said anything positive, it''s as if he doesn''t really want City to do well. I''m sure we''ve not been particularly brilliant today but to have constant digs at players efforts is poor.
13. The problem is the old guard will  and their indifference to international football will eventually take effect on the younger players who at present seem to want to achieve something at that level. The only way to get things changed is to start completely fresh. New management and coaching team and remove all the ''names'' from the squad who have had more than enough chances such as Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard. None have come anywhere close to performing at the same level as they do for their clubs and it''s down to the mentality that the England team is not worth bothering with. If they were to be removed and the enthusiasm shown by the younger players was allowed to develop along with a manager who could actually connect with them and bring some pride back to the team then I think we''d see far better performances during the tournaments. Of course this won''t happen as the FA like their big name players that bring in the tourists.
14. I''ve not watched an England game for years and actually felt bothered by the result. The regulars are far to comfortable and seemingly don''t give a toss. There doesn''t seem to be any sense of National pride amongst them.I suspect I''m not alone in thinking that it''d be good to see a squad made up of lower Prem players and from the football league. At least they might put in some effort and not believe the hype about their talents. We might even achieve something more than qualifying with the bare minimum of effort and a shocking cup campaign.
15. His time will come. How Scott Carson is in the squad is beyond me as he''s never performed at international level and is unlikely to ever improve.
16. I honestly think we''ll sign a ''name'' in January if we''re still around mid-table and looking a good bet to stay up. I can''t see the management and board sitting back and not wanting to continue moving forwards and bringing an experienced player like Owen or whoever could well help attract further experience in the summer.
17. I assume this is hurting us in the same manner as last season when he caused us no end of troubles... hmmm
18. Perhaps this could be useful.
19. It''d certainly be a great shame to see them miss out on promotion and find themselves falling a little bit further down the league.
20.
Lansbury''s wages astounded me, many sites were saying it was £2,500 per week -- That''s 1.3 million a year ! for an Arsenal reserve, no wonder they want to off load him.
I''d happily sit in the Arsenal reserves for that. I''d probably prove to be more adequate at defending as well, even with a slightly rotund physique.
21. I would 8 2 be in Wenger''s position right now.
