1. It seems quite mad in retrospect that we could''ve lost our place in the league to Lynn.
2. Sell him to Ipswich, he''d fit in well there.
3. That new badge design looks too American to me. Makes the canary look like a bird of prey... Go Nor-witch yellow hawks!
4. Apparently they owe Suffolk constabulary £96000, so are probably trying to get out of paying that. What a classless, grubby, fraudulent little club they are.
5. I worked for them for a few years in the 90s. The members of the Jarrold family that I met always struck me as being quite uppity, arrogant and condescending. In fact, the only thing I missed was the cheap booze at the Carmelites social club...
6.
Not sure where you''re getting your info from but the national stats has St Albans with a population of 140,000 with 69,000 urban, I picked them as they were the closest match. They have the same population close to them and London within driving distance! http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/20160105160709/http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/census/2011-census/key-statistics-for-local-authorities-in-england-and-wales/rft-table-ks101ew.xls
The 140,000 figure is for the Norwich City council boundary area only and doesnt include the suburbs like Sprowston, Hellesdon, Catton, etc which are in the Norwich built up area but fall in the Broadland or South Norfolk council areas. This Norwich urban area has a population nearing 220,000. I guess the closest comparison to Norwich would be Northampton, fairly similar in size. We probably are overachieving football wise if they were considered to be the benchmark for settlements of that size.
7.
But in reality Norwich as a city is on par with St Albans and about 40th per population, so we are punching well above our weight! When you look at the cities in our size their football clubs are way down this list! So we could well be looked at as little ole Norwich.
Norwich is considerably bigger than St Albans; around 80,000 more people live in the Norwich urban area than the St Albans/Harpenden district. Plus we''ve got a catchment area of nearly a million people if you include Waveney (the district, not the incredibly tedious Pink Un poster) with no other professional clubs.
8. I''m surprised that the binners have objected to flares at a football match. I thought they''d be popular down there, especially as they were in fashion the last time they actually won anything!
9. I would imagine you''re within your rights when it comes to getting a refund. You could contact the seller and say that it''s not a genuine early 80''s Adidas shirt and that you want your money back. If they refuse, escalate it with ebay and open a case against the seller. Ebay will normally side with the buyer if you can prove that the shirt you''ve bought is not genuine. So send some images of the genuine shirt from the previous auction to back up your case. Oh, and if you return the shirt by post, send it recorded delivery too...
10. I cant imagine that many people these days would be able to tell the difference between a genuine shirt and a replica from that era. It''s probably the best shirt design we ever had and yours isnt any worse than the other replicas out there. So I wouldnt worry too much about wearing it...
11. I''m afraid that''s probably a fake/non-official replica, as I don''t think Adidas ever made a retro of that shirt. The original shirt (I had one as a lad in the early 80s) was a lighter yellow and it had less pinstripes. From memory the Adidas logo was printed/embossed, not stitched and the tag inside the shirt was a ''hang'' tag on the collar rather than being stitched directly onto the back on the shirt. Here''s a genuine early 80s replica for reference:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Norwich-City-Football-Shirt-1981-Trikot-Maglia-Camiseta-Rare-Adidas-S-/281489565527?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item418a15e757&nma=true&si=3LTSNilYbVEYJcvYCgVVKML0IU8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
12.
I think, ladies & gentlemen, that owing to thirteen years of untold damage caused by the Labour government and the consequent steep austerity measures (which are necessary) - the time is wrong to be talking of stadia expansion.
The National Socialist Party was probably too far left for your liking.
13.
"Actually, that''s not strictly correct" Changing the definition does not make it valid
It''s as valid as your comment about the relative population of the cities mentioned.  I very rarely post on here but I regularly read the comments.  I generally enjoy the content of your replies but sometimes you just seem to seek confrontation for the sake of it.  Personally I have no problem with glory hunters or johnny come latelys if they are putting money into the club.  It''s just part and parcel of today''s football, whether we like it or not. As much as I''d like to see football return to it''s working class roots: standing on the terraces and paying a couple of quid to get in.  It will never happen again at this level in English football...
14.
" . " Southampton, Leicester and Derby - 3 clubs similar in size to City" .... though their population is twice that of Norwich.
Actually, that''s not strictly correct.Populations of urban/built up areas:-Leicester 441,213Southampton 304,400 Norwich 259,100Derby 236,300 You fail to take into account that a large percentage of those clubs supporters dont actually live in the cities themselves but in the surrounding areas, of which Norwich has a catchment area equivalent to or bigger than those three other clubs.  Plus Leicester, Southampton and Derby all have several other professional clubs close nearby, unlike Norwich.
15.

Brazil''s shirts seem pretty damn popular though despite the colour scheme. I agree with Salford, I''d love to see a ''proper'' kit back again. We haven''t had a decent kit since the Adidas, Asics and Hummel efforts of the 80''s. If Adidas made a retro styled kit I think they would fly off the shelves...
Are you suggesting that Norwich City has the same international fame as the Brazilian football team?
"Due to Norwich''s colour scheme we will never have a very nice kit, it''s not like yellow and green is a popular choice", the Brazil example was just a contradiction of your statement. The point I was trying to make is that a colour of a shirt will not dramatically affect it''s popularity.  If Man Utd reverted back to their old Newton Heath colours do you think that would stop millions of people buying their shirts?I''m sure if Norwich were regularly finishing in the top four of the Premier league and competing in the Champions league we would sell ten times the shirts that we do presently, regardless of the colour scheme...

17. Lynn have taken over 200 to all their away games this season. Quite good for a team eight divisions below Wigan....
18. ***stupid forum***I know a couple of people who work for Adidas in Herzogenaurach and in Portland.  I''ll have a word and see if I can get any info.

20. ^^^I recall seeing some of your lovely old Adidas shirts on the railings outside poorman road after Sir Bobby died.  I also seem to remember one of you scummy blue gippos knicking a bunch of them shortly after. No substitute for class eh?
21. Justin Fashanu, closely followed by Chris Woods and Dennis Van Wijk.
