Credit to Huddersfield - they played a skeleton squad against Man City who played a very near full strength team at their place. That said, we did the same and did Everton 2-0 at Goodison earlier this season 😉

Neil installed as favourite for the Rangers job
Alex Moss replied to Jim Smith's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Great Drinkell, totally hear you there. I''m of the opinion that it is far more important for many to be of the ''told you so'' ilk. Well, I''m actually well aware that our season has been quite mixed, as I''m sure all the other non ''told you so''s'' are also fully aware. So, no head in the sand from myself or most others. The facts are that we were getting good results in the first part of the season. The middle bit was atrocious. But of late, I think we''ve only lost 1 in total in X amount of games. 1 loss in 4 away games. So rather than whinging, which I don''t think is particularly deserved of late, I''m going to go to Hillsborough and hope that I can play my small part in unifying supporters with manager and team. Because without overall unity we''re f***ed and I wouldn''t give us a hope in hell of finishing in the playoffs without it. But anyway, onwards... from myself at least. OTBC- 69 replies

Yep, just checked the link City1st and that clarifies everything, cheers 👍. If Man Utd had beaten Porto and therefore got us in the semis then that game would almost certainly have been televised on Man Utd TV or whatever it''s called. Would be great if this stage of the competition was televised, I wonder if Porto may show it on their YouTube channel?.

Not been following that Kiwi, but disappointed to hear - kind of want Leicester to go down! City 1st - cheers, I take it Sunderlands win against Athletico Bilbao was a group stage match where obviously neither qualified. So it''s Norwich v Porto, victors of the Man Utd game, and Swansea v Hertha Berlin in the semis then. Anyone know if we''re home or away, or will it be over 2 legs? Congratulations to the lads tonight, you''ve done yourselves and our fine club proud 👍OTBC!

Let''s face it, a few goals for Lafferty will give the bloke a little bit more of a spring in his step should he be called upon against Sheff Weds at any point, so a bonus there too. Looking forward to the match report afterwards, Zagreb are no slouches from what I can gather looking around online. City''s U23''s doing themselves great credit tonight, I wonder what the value of Chelsea reserves and youngsters are? Would be absolutely amazing if we could win this competition 🏆

The worst ones Daly are those that want to fight other folk from a different country. 😉 -
So, on to Sheffield Wednesday...

April''s fixtures don''t look great but there''s no one I fear whatsoever if we turn up so I guess it might work like this - we will either have given up several weeks ago or, should we still look in contention by then, then it will be because we''ve continued to find some good results in March. So if that was the case then the players would surely be on a high as well as many supporters and it''d be game on because we all know these players can play even better than they are. And that is without taking into account that one or two teams around us may choke/lose form etc - who knows?. I figured today that I will just keeping enjoying each game as it comes as to be fair I''ve actually only had one real disappointment for some time now i.e. Burton Albion, and crucially, we have good players slowly returning to the fold - in Nelson Oliveira we have a very special striker and he could make a massive difference to us, he would have had a hatrick yesterday and that''s exactly the kind of difference I mean. -

Yep, I kinda thought that as I hit ''post'' ASMS!. Fulham and Wednesday both got horrendous fixtures in March, ours reads like this - Sheff Wed Sky Bet Championship ASat 04 Mar 2017 15:00 Bristol C Sky Bet Championship ATue 07 Mar 2017 19:45 Blackburn Sky Bet Championship HSat 11 Mar 2017 15:00 Barnsley Sky Bet Championship HSat 18 Mar 2017 15:00 If we can beat Wednesday then March looks pretty favourable... -
Loopzilla, it appears you''ve made it into the nationals... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/ipswich-fan-ed-sheerans-swearily-9926539

*Our!. Also, I''ve not noticed how they''ve been performing at home but their thread suggests sluggish sideways football so hopefully we don''t match them in this department! It seems they''ve been performing better away from home. If only we could have Oliveira back on the bench for this game, I love Cam but worry about the burden being solely at his feet. -
Our biggest game of the season to date, and reading Owlstalk suggests they aren''t overly confident. Are away record has been pretty horrendous but I will be surprised if we manage to only score 1 goal or less for the third game in a row, so that coupled with the fact Wednesday''s record against those around the Top 10 or so leaves me feeling reasonably confident that we might throw the Play Off chase wide open. Sorry I can''t link properly on my iPhone but here''s their thread on their forum if you want to copy and paste 👍 http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/topic/251937-team-for-norwich/

Loopzilla, did you see some clever soul doctored your pic so it looks like Ed Sheeran is holding up a placard with the Ipshite club crest coupled with the words ''15 Years Championship''? 😆
Yeah, thought it was pretty good - it''s an improvement!
👍😂

I like Mitchell''s maverick style, and will enjoy it whilst he''s here. He''s Premier League quality in my eyes. This is my main concern if we don''t go up this season - there''s clearing out ''deadwood'', and then losing your best players i.e. Oliveira, Dijks, Ruddy etc (though fortunately I think we''ll keep Wes 👍).

I would actually say he''s undeniably very good at what he does, just it''s not my cup of tea personally.

I saw that picture Loopzilla and had to laugh, pleased you got to meet two top blokes though! So we can now put to rest that Ed Sheeran supports ''them'', and now know he''s infact a Chelsea supporter/follower - you can stop burning those CD''s now folks 😉
