Want to stand ? = terrace ticket Want to sit ? = seat ticket. Can''t be plainer than that, can it ? Why buy a seat if you want to stand ? Many on here were looking forward to a '' proper knees-up '' match on terracing which was great but those who can''t stand/prefer to sit could still attend and enjoy the match. The seats sold out much quicker than the terrace spaces - there was a message saying so on the official web-site before lunchtime on the day of sale - so clearly those that couldn''t, or didn''t,  feel comfortable standing snapped up those tickets assuming that, just for once, they''d be able to see the full 90 mins.How wrong can you be. The stewards should have come down heavy from the off then maybe everyone could have had a decent day out. Any woman who understands the problems of running a kitchen will be nearer to understanding the problems of running a football team. I was always taught that if you want something said, ask a man. And like me she will go on and on and on until she feels your club would be better served if she stood down. I am quite sure Delia won''t stand aside and allow your football club to be swamped by an alien culture.

Football chanting is as sinful as any other type of chanting, with its obscene  gestures and swearing. It is an incitement to violence.     There is no excuse for it; it has to stop.

We invested heavily in buying eight acres of land around the ground, which were a derelict mill and a car park. It was later sold for 15 times more than we paid for it.   I had plans big for that land and was going to erect my Chasedome but cruelly never got it built. Although I do feel you miss the point slightly. In my day I controlled the show. I didn''t employ Executive Management - I was Executive Management. I think the dear lady once referred to me as the "all singing, all dancing leader". Consequently the 8 good years were down to me alone. As was the following struggle. As you say, there were half-hearted Delia protests but no protests whatsoever towards the Executive Management of the club. I shall never understand why that was.   Perhaps you can answer your own question - Did you protest against me? Did you protest against them?

When you look back over our ten years at Carrow Road as a whole I think we were very successful. I hope that my colleagues there now will be more successful over the next decade. But going back, and the club is over 100 years old you know, I would think that my decade was the best and most successful the club has ever had. OK, the last 18 months was tough - but you''ve got to take a broad view.   That''s why it hurt so much when the Chase Out Brigade were so insulting to me in such a personal way. Taking my unprecedented ten years as a whole I don''t believe I deserved that. Apart from the year they spent treating Nigel Worthington the same way, they''ve never protested like that again. Even Neil Doncaster, who took this club into the Third Division, never had to contend with a fraction of the abuse I received in those last 18 painful months.

In fact we were fondly known as "Robert Chase''s Little Norwich" in my day.     Whilst we are reminiscing another of my "pure strokes of genius" was back in December 1990. I was watching the Wimbledon match with my guest Lord Justice Taylor. We were 0-4 down after 20 minutes and the natives were restless and becoming unruly. Of course this was a recurring theme during my unprecedented ten years in charge. The rabble in the Barclay Stand all sat down on the terraces in protest because I had sold Andy Linighan and Andy Townsend for two and a half million and brought in John Polston, Paul Blades and Colin Woodthorpe for less than half that amount. It was a little embarrassing to say the least. But Lord Taylor put his hand on my shoulder and said "Stroke of genius Bob! All your unruly fans sitting down as though they were in a classroom. Much safer! I''m sure that will come in handy one day..................      

I believe the shares are £30 a pop and worthless these days.   But of course during my ten years in control, and I''m not boasting, just being factual - we finished third, fourth and fifth in the top flight, reached two FA Cup semi-finals and during one season stayed at the top of the first division longer than any other club. Rarely does a club as small as Norwich hold the top spot for so long. The shares were valued around twenty pounds each then. And worth every penny!   But of course in reality they weren''t traded at £20. They were brought and sold for whatever was agreed by the two parties. When I realised that hiring police horses was throwing good money after bad I looked for a buyer. Eventually I found the right man with the right offer and it was thank you and goodbye.   Dear old Geoffrey always had an eye for a bargain.
