1.
has it ever crossed your sad little minds that the reason that you keep hearing this line is because it may actually be true?
You''re wasting your time T . Having posted on yet another whinging headline the majority of responses will be negative - to be fair we are the ONLY club in League 1 next season not to have signed numerous Premiership quality players in the last 2 weeks ......................not[:D]
 2. If it was £8.5million last year and we overspent by £6m, then I guess approx £2-£2.5m, less a max. rebate to season ticket holders of approx. £500,000 means a budget of between £1.5-2m
 3.
Mike Walker''s playing days were before my time.
So now you''ve been told about Mike Walker are you happier then??!!![;)]
 4. Congratulations Tilly and Kathy for getting this meeting in place so promptly I look forward to coming along. A friendly bit of advice to Smudger, having been present at the last two meetings at Carra'' when you have been in "action" you would help the cause you belieie in no end if you took your turn to speak and came back with a response as everyone else does - speak forcibly by all means but cut the snidey comments throughout the evening. Reading you on this forum shows you in a crap light but I do believe you are passionate about getting the best for the club - perhaps you can review your past performances and see how you can help the cause rather than alienate people.
 5. So is it Michael Foulger?, only reason for asking this is you said think back to the past - earlier this year we were talking about him or him plus others buying her shares - I got told this back then by Carl Moore when he hinted at Gunn, Crooky etc . He didn''t get the 1st bit wrong and said that MF was  looking to buy her out. I might add I am only speculating - as it was months back.
 6.

Im saying that she gives away her shares or sell them for £1, and that would be sufficient to attract an investor that would be willing to invest a few million into the club.
I don''t quite see how you can infer that someone would be willing to invest if  it were the case that Delia would be willing to sell her shares for £1. [8-)]
Its not a matter of fact, but it is a matter of simple economics. The type of economics that I was doing at 14. If the demand is not their then lower the price. Look at the stock markets, read about investment. Look at the price of all shares, the collective markets are around40% lower in value then they were a year ago.  If a share was £1 a year ago, and the price was 60p now, then you wouldnt pay £1 for it. At the same time, if you got that share for 30p, you would be getting a very good long term investment that would probably be worth £1 again one day. Second hand cars, none of them are selling, therefore if you want to sell your car right now you would have to sell at a low price. There would always be a buyer at a certain price. Your house. It might have been able to realise 200k a year ago but the market now dictates that it is worth £160k. Therefore somebody would be stupid to pay £200k for it, but 120k would be a very good price. The purchaser of that house could be willing to spend money on that 160k house, knowing that they have automatically gained 40k of equity, lets say some double glazing and a garage for 40k. That house might then be worth 180k, therefore they have still realised a 20k profit.  Somebody that paid 200k for that same house would not be willing to spend 40k on it, as they would then have spend 240k, for a value of 180k, thus they have created a 60k loss. If somebody bought Norwich City football club for £16m in the full knowledge that it is probably worth £8m, then they would not be willing to spend money on it, realising an instant loss of £8m. Somebody that spent £1 on Norwich City football club on the promise that they spent £8 million over three seasons, would be making a good investment. In the knowledge that that £8m could help towards Norwich City Football Club being in a position that justifies a £16m price tag again. That realises a £8m profit.
Sorry chap, being really pedantic I know but used cars are selling at the moment and prices are firming up and rising in some cases, and yes there will always be a buyer at a certain price as long as they don''t have a p/ex and realise their car value has gone down as well!!!    Any way back to football..........[:D]

 8.
In my view there is no one to match him in the known universe.
Sorry I''m late in replying, I''ve just popped out in to the unknown universe and there isn''t even anyone out there to match him.[:O]
 9.
Right. So it''s the fans fault ''Fozzy'' is sh*t? Thanks for clearing that up.
No Alex that''s not what is being said, try using a bit of amateur phsycology - if a team are under pressure , which they clearly are, then an element of the fans screaming abuse or whinging at every missplaced pass is not helping. If things aren''t going well and you have the ball knowing that if you don''t play the perfect pass or shot that you will incur the wrath of the crowd - you play the safe ball. Don''t beleive me then check out the backwards/sideways passes that have been prevalent these last few seasons, and it''s not as simple as saying grow a pair of bollocks and play better - if they were of the calibre that could do that game in game out thhey would be playing at the top of the Prem not a Championship team. We all want the same Alex so give it some thought and lets stick with them, knowing that applauding effort and not getting on their backs is more likely to have the desired effect - 10 games to hold back on the whinging and roaring your support - you never know it might work Like it or lump it we have got the team we can afford at present - and NO I don''t like it- but for the next 10 games I want to contribute to us trying to stay up and that means Support, support, support not getting arsey at the match wondering where all the money has gone. Psychology rant over and tin hat on!!![:P][:D]
 10. I sat and had a mug of tea with Martin Peters and Geoff Hurst in a portakabin /office on a used car sales site in 94- they were the face behind Motorplan warranties I believe and popped in on the off chance of signing us up with their Company!!!!
 11.

Right readers, I have been investigating the reasons - according to this board (message) - as to why we are currently in the bottom 3 1) the board are bleeding useless couldn''t run a bath etc etc (although they have achieved promotion in the past) 2) the management team have no experience and should not have put themselves in this position. - after all they''ve had three weeks to sort this out.  3) the keepers dodgy too many mistakes - forget about the match winning saves for the moment 4) the defence is awful / not interested  (all 7/8 who have played there this season?) 5) the midfield is weak can''t pass and are always caught out of position.(although they have contributed to a fair few goals between them) 6) The forward line can''t hit a barn door from 5 yards are not upto it (actually I don''t think I can say much here!) 7) the Fans well we''re fantastic - we DESERVE better we are hard done to etc etc etc. Well now''s our chance to prove it. When you are in a hole you need to turn to your strengths to help and support your weaknesses.  I lay down the gauntlet to you all. On Saturday can YOU stay positive for 90 mins accept that the useless lot in front of you need to be encouraged/supported from start to finish - oh and in between (remember Portsmouth 5 down against Arsenal in the F A Cup a few years ago).- Let''s practice what we preach, being the best supporters isn''t about how we react when things are going well it''s when your are needed most when things just aren''t happening. That time is now until the end of the season. - if we can do this then IMHO we will stay in this division The last 2 games have been narrowly lost against good teams  - Bristol could have easily ended in a draw and Preston beaten once at home all season. It''s time to believe. Over to you O.T.B.C
good post...but its down gunny and co + the 11 players on the pitch at the end of the day...(TIN HAT ON) it doesnt matter how hard we cheer it will never score a goal!!! im there most home games cheering them on and that will never change  CITY-TILL-I-DIE     OTBC
Couldn''t agree more but we can help surely - it was meant as a glasshouse and stones type comment really
Couldn''t agree more - highlighted bit made me smile remembering it - We are a great set of supporters but what should set us apart is the fact we are prepared to give them 100% for the next 13 games as they clearly are lacking in confidence at times and we can make a difference. No excuses or "yes but..." do we want Championship football next season or not?
 12. I think Smudger,Cluck etc will all want to be released....... maybe it wont be so bad after all[:P]
 13. Shit, that''s it then we are obviously going down....... pointless thread, now go and find one that doesn''t have us in the bottom 3
 14.

I''m going with Anger at the Idiots who continue to fill this forum with negativity! It doesn''t look good but many teams have got themselves out of a lot worse and will continue to do so long after the dust settles on this season!!
I''m also angry with head in the sand types like you. Wake up and smell the bloody coffee.
Sorry Wiz all I can smell is sand... then I sneezed!!!![;)]
 15. Despite  the goals against, I can''t remember listening to a game like that, and to feel confident knowing we had some decent quality on the bench to come on, all that and 5 points clear of drop zone OTBC!! I know it''s all relative but feel happy about that.
 16.

Michael Owen played his best years at Liverpool despite being an Everton fan and Alex Bruce supports Norwich but is suffering the indignity of playing for the scum they''re all professionals which means it doesn''t matter
the fact that alex bruce plays for ipswich means he isn''t a norwich fan, would you play for them? I never doubted Ian Crook''s ability as a footballer whilst he was with us, it just disappoints me that we would bring somebody in who has been so disloyal to us in the past. We''ll be bringing andy marshall back next!
You need to remember fella that it''s a game at the end of the day, if you''re offended by non -Norwich people playing then go and support your local village team where most will be from the same place!
 17. There''s nothing unusual in that practice with every football club, this is one of those situations where if the club had paid in full ,up front then some of you would be bleating about the fact that we paid everything up front and no-one else does - why are we so stupid etc etc!
 18. Only reporting this 3rd hand but the Davis thing seems to be blown out of proportion, my son was talking to the ball boy on MSN last night and the lad was laughing about the fact he took his time getting the ball to the keeper ( nothing wrong in that) and said something along the lines of "here you go scummer" to Davis in which the keeper responded , The lad didn''t say what Davis had said to him but at the end of the day he is a 16 year old - happy with the limelight and wasn''t upset with what happened. If it had been a younger kid fair enough, but we don''t know what Davis said and this is what winds me up about some supporters, we are happy to shout abuse and banter at players, but when it provokes a response they want to bleat and report them to the Club. The  amount they earn is irrelevant to what is at the end of the day a normal human response to abuse i.e give it back!!
 19. Hi CA the info I had but was reluctant to name was that Crooky was coming back to work with BG (didn''t tell me about JD) Re the new owner the guy told me categorically that it was Michael Foulger, initially when telling me about the management change he slipped in about the new owner having been party to the decision - it took me a couple of seconds to pick up on this and when I asked, he said it was MF and explained the money was coming from the family sale of Banham Poultry - I assume the Foulgers are still involved but have been bought out. Obviously MF has come out now and said this is not true, what I will say is that the guy who told me is indirectly connected heavily with the club and has helped out on several occasions. One of which has given you a few years of happiness C A [;)]. I was standing talking to this guy for 5 minutes and, if you catch my drift, you will understand why I was sure of what I was saying.
 20. I think if it all goes wrong Gunn will be fired..... sorry, someone has to say it!!![:$]
 21.
I said this about ten pages ago and got shot down....

Have heard on pretty good authority that not only will we have a new manager who we will be "pleasantly surprised" by, but a new owner shortly as well.  Paperwork ready and awaiting signatures in both cases.  The new owner is happy with the new manager to be.The person I spoke to says, until signed, they can''t 100% guarantee it will happen, but the intention from all parties is there... Oh happy days!!!!  No i''m not a binner, a newbie or a wind up merchant, I''ve deliberated on whether to say anything or not for the last 2 hours,It''s not Cullum but I don''t want to say just yet in case  I get myself in trouble, but my source would be "in the know". You can appreciate the feeling - Having been told something about your Club you want to shout but know it will cause loads of stick!!!
I can''t believe that 15 pages have been dedicated to this drivel, initiated by an attention-seeking buffoon who clearly knows nothing about the proceedings at the Club. WAKE UP, PEOPLE!

What a pair of cocks you both are- attention seeking-hardly.I put on here that something was in the offing purely to give hope- announcements made next day I didn''t want to name names at the time as not comfortable doing it. I''ve been away for a couple of days, and thought I may as well say M Foulger is meant to be stumping up some money as this came from the same person who told me about Gunny and Crook(didn''t know about Deehan). The 15 pages you mention is hardly my doing - don''t bother looking it''s not compulsory .
 22. I''m not sure if the Foulger''s still own BP , however he could still be MD
 23. Sorry Capt. I meant in response to the thread I started on Tuesday- "things they are a happening" since then I have been away on a course just back this evening. I had heard about Crooky and Gunn but didn''t feel I could name names at that time - since then it''s happened and the 2nd bit of info was about MF and it seems that is due to happen any time so thought I may as well put the name on here seeing as so many people thought I was on a wind up. Thought it would be easier to add this info on this thread about were the money was coming from than start another thread. Cheers[B]
 24. I was only told about MF - something to do with Banham Poultry being sold (when this was I don''t know) but money coming from his share of that- and no I don''t know how much
