1. As others have said shows how far we have come in two years. I wonder what a certain Mr Roeder makes of this. He always went on about how the loan strategy he used was the best one possible with the lack of money. Paul Lambert totally proving that theory wrong
2. Championship final is at wembley on the bank holiday monday with the champions league final being on the saturday. League one and two finals are at old trafford on the saturday and sunday
3. What happened to all these clubs like Millwall and Sheffield United that  his agent was saying were "interested" in him
4. I seem to remember Doomy saying that they wanted the jarrold stand to be a two tier stand but thanks to itv digital going bust we couldnt afford it
5. Is anyone else not worried that lambert if off from his press conference answers? Every other time he has been linked with another job he is said that its nonsense that hes going and will be staying at Norwich. Whereas today today he has not at all said he is or wants to stay and this does sound like the sort of thing a manager would say when there on there way
6.
like he did at Colchester you mean ?
Like Owen Coyle did at Burnley or like Iain Dowie did at Crystal Palace any more examples needed as im sure there are many more
7. I dont know if Lambert is going or staying or if he will be in charge come Saturday. All I know is if he is we need to get as many people in Carrow Road as possible and show our appreciation to the bloke and try and convince him he needs to stay. Fill the ground out. Get some banners done, Lambert chants for most of the game. I know it could be seen as undermining the team but we simply cant allow for him to go. Simple as our season will fall apart, we have to keep hold of the guy and maybe just maybe if we can show him how much he is admired by the fans
8.
Just read on a burnley mb, and they seem pretty certain they have got PL!! I hope this isnt true! I dont understand why he would go, as he has us where he wants us, where as they are slightly below the playoffs, and he would have to bring in players, etc... Sounds like a bit of a risk going there in many ways! Either way, surely DM knows what lambo wants, he is the one that brought him here, so surely he can bring him round to staying??
Burnley fans on that board are certainly being hypocrites, only last year they were calling Owen Coyle at judas and slaughtering Bolton for stealing Coyle from them and yet now they are hoping for them to appoint Lambert.
9.
Was it the 98 season where bookies stopped taking bets on Man Utd to win the prem with some even paying out early ?Regardless of the year or season it happened...... and Arsenal were champions !
Yes but this is different. At the end of the day they have their sources who know if something is going down and if people start putting stupid money down then again they know somethings up. Although I must add there is nothing more I would like that for what I have said to be wrong and for Lambert to stay!
10. Personally im worried. I dontreally see why he would take the job as we are in a far better position that Burnley are and even in terms of fanbase we get much better crowds than them. But the thing that worries me is that the bookies have stopped taking bets on him to be their next manager. I always think if they stop taking bets the majority of the time they know there is something going on. Hopefully I will be proved wrong I really do.I eagerly await the press conference tomorrow where I think we will know if he is staying or going. If he says he is staying like he has already has had to to on many occasions then he will stay but if he starts refusing to answer questions on the matter then I think hes off. I really pray he stays, i know he will go eventually but it would be catastrophic to lose him now when we are doing so well
11. To be fair he has got a pretty tough job trying to make that tin pot league more interesting. I dont know much about scottish football but having a 10 team league sounds like a ludicrous idea and the sort of thing I would expect Doncaster to come up with.
12. When I saw the post by the Leyton Orient fan on here about some of the shit ex players of ours they currently have it got me thinking about some of the dross we really used to have. The likes of Sibierski, Julian Brellier those sort of people. There is one ex useless player who I still to this day hate and that is Mark Fotheringham. The guy was just such an arrogant twat thinking he was such a great player, while I seem to remember him only prepared to sign a one year contract obviously expecting manchester united or chelsea to come along and sign him. He always used to misplace passes before going on to blame someone else for it and while his corners were just apalling and we may as well of just picked a fan out of the crowd to take them instead of him.Anyway this got me wondering what our former midfield maestro was up to these days. He still currently plays for the cypric side famargusta i think ther called and this season he has been a huge player for them making 1 substitute appearance for them. Im guessing they have quickly realised what a waste of space he is. I know its a bit sad finding that out but it gives me a lot of satisfaction to see the arrogant little shit has done nothing since leaving us
13. Just wondering if anyone has any word on when the Palace game has been rescheduled for yet? Im guessing it will be in January or February time. If both of us go out of the fa cup surely it would be wise to play it during the 4th round weekend as dont think we have a game scheduled for then as it would save us from having another midweek game
14. Personally I wouldnt lose too much sleep if we went out. Maybe its different for me as im only 19 years old so my memories of the fa cup are mostly things like losing at places like dagenham, bury etc and maybe the occasional day out at Chelsea. I think as others mentioned half of it depends on your league position. If your in mid table I guess a cup run can keep your season interesting and bring in money. But when your in the position we are I think it could go against you if you have too many extra games. If we get to the fifth round we have to start postponing our scheduled league games and play them midweek and if you get replays it can all add up. I would be happy enough to maybe get past this lot get a glamour tie in the next round and go out then. Last season we went out in the second round to carlisle I think and I think this really ended up working in our favour. The 3rd round weekend was when we beat Wycombe and went second. Now if we were in the cup that weekend we wouldnt have gone second and things could have turned out differently to how they did. But because we were out of the cup we built momentum won all our games and went above Leeds while they were too busy beating and gloating about how they beat man u.
15. As others say dont have the pies in the ground. The selection is limited to like a meat pie and a vegitarian pie, there not that nice and there extrememely over niced. Go to Morrisons or go to one of the various restaurants where you will get much more for your money.
16. The whole location thing he is on about is a very poor excuse. I seem to remember the Rodent and Peter Grant both using that old excuse aswell
17. Mate just sent me a link of this. Its got nothing to do with us but thought I would put it up as personally I found it hilarious. Its just a spoof Sam Allardyce twitter page, there are some really funny bits. Keep goin down as there are some hilarious tweets from the day he got sacked as Blackburn manager -twitter.com/TheBig_Sam
18. After Whitbread and Nelson both put in very good performances today im wondering who do we play for the Boro game? I think it would be harsh to drop any of them. But you do wonder whether Whitbread could really handle two games in 3 days as he has barely played over the last year.Lets face it Ward and Barnett have faced very little competition so far this season but Nelson has certainly proved he can do a job and fingers crossed if Whitbread can stay fit he will certainly be knocking on the door. I think Ward may face a battle to get back into the side when he returns from his injury
19. There hassnt really been much talk of players to get rid of in January on here so do other City fans feel that there are any players we need to get rid of or loan out for abit. I personally think Stephen Hughes and Owain Tudor Jones are two that need to go and maybe even Askou as its fair to say Lambert doesnt seem to keen on him. I also think Oli Johnson could do with a loan spell and in all honesty I wouldnt exactly lose too much sleep if we sold him as dont think hes good enough for the championship. I also think loaning a few of the youngsters such as Rudd and Daley would probably be good as ther not really playing much here
20. Well according to the beeb last week Leeds were the suprise package, but now we have gone above them i guess they need to change their mind. Even though I hate Leeds I think its fair to say we have both done equally well really and as others have said even Millwall have done ok.Although I dont understand why we only got 1 minute or so highlights? From the looks of the highlights the Leeds-Boro game looked pretty poor and our game had plenty of drama
21. You do wonder why Sheffield United are doing so badly. Im guessing the change in managers hassnt helped. But I mean you look at their team and its a half descent team. I mean Cresswell and Evans are both very good championship players while other such as Reid and Quinn are both good at this level aswell
22. Fails to mention the fact that their free kick they scored from was not a free kick
23. Just looking on Paul Fletchers post on the Beeb website talking about the championship (http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2010/12/happy_christmas.html#280099). This is what he said about us and Leeds "But for all that the likes of Norwich and Coventry have also done very well so far, the story of the Championship to date must be the rise of Leeds United. They lost 4-0 to Cardiff, were on the wrong end of a 6-4 defeat by bottom club Preston and shipped five at Barnsley earlier in the season. Those dark days seem a long time ago now for Leeds. Second in the table at Christmas and top of the form chart over the last eight games, it will be fascinating to see whether Simon Grayson''s team can last the distance. As things stand, the Yorkshire club are living the dream once again." Now it sort of makes out in my opinion that while were doing ok Leeds have done fantistically to be in 2nd. But the fact is we are only two point behind them so I would say we have done equally well maybe they have done marginally better! If it was the other way round and we were in second I gurantee you Leeds would still get all the credit as they are obviously such a "big club". Just annoys me how when they take a good away crowd the media always are quick to go on about it how good there away support it yet do we ever get mentioned no we dont. Manish and Steve Claridge on the football league show are quick to praise their loyal supporters as they were getting home crowds of 30,000 now. Ok if there so loyal where did 10,000 of them come from as I only remember them getting about 20,000 last season. Dont really know why I made this thread, just tend to get wound up about that club very easily haha!
24. pinkun is saying Crystal Palace game could end up getting called off with freezing temperatures predicted for most of the week and of course this bing selhurst park they have no undersoil heating. Cant say i would complain too much if it was called off as would obviously mean one less game during the busy festive period. Also im at uni in London so hopefully they would reschedule it during a time i can go.
25. While I was prepared to be patient with him at the start of the season im really starting to lose patience with him and his injuries. You wonder whether hes a bit of a Kieron Dyer or Darren Anderton who is just constantly injured. Its hard to see him making any sort of an impact this season as he is probably a million miles away from match fitness and with Barnett and Ward playing well together it will be difficult for him to break into the side. If maybe he could get fit by January we could send him out on loan to a league one club for the remainder of the season where maybe he could get some games under his belt and maybe he could come good next season.
