1.

With so many sheep to count tonight I should sleep soundly........ One..two...three...four...five....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz    [|-)]
You do seem to be causing a lot of people to be getting their knickers in a right twist at the moment Cluck. You would have thought that after a year and nearly 3,000 posts that they would stop biting wouldn''t you? Anyway, and I hope I don''t come across as a butt licker here, I''m loving your work at the minute keep it up [B].
[:)] You''re ahead of the pack Shack...(a bit of poetry there)..... It''s never really about what I say....it''s far more about what I refuse to say. It''s just a "control" thing on the part of others...and I''ve always enjoyed bucking the popular trend. It amuses me and happily it amuses you.....and that''s good enough for me. It''s far from "butt licking" Shack...it just shows you have a wry sense of humour and an enjoyment of the ridiculous!

 3.
i have read quite a few messages on this forum today and it strikes me as to still being a great divide in fans opinions about the clubs and who people believe are fans and who arent, rreading today several people are being labled binners bcause they arent as impressed by sundays game as others, now heres my opinion on a few things, sundays game was good, it was a vast improvement on the way weve played recently infact a vast improvement on the way weve played over the last 2 years, but and this is a big but, will they keep it up, who knows, every norwich fan would love to see norwich do better, im sure smudger and cluck would love to see the club better positioned then we are, im not proud of the clubs position in fact im a fan who feels that the club has let me down over the last couple of years as we support the club and expect it to do better, now heres were  a few of my other thoughts come into it, im happy to give glen roeder a chance, if he can do the job then he needs to be given the chance to do the job, i like smudger wouldve loved a better named manager to come here but that didnt happen, id love to see the club be bought out like the others, id love to see the big name players return to carrow road not just to play against us but to play for us, this team we have got at present isnt good enoug, whether they can prove me wrong ill leave it to be seen, im not gonna say i told u so as thats childish. now i know a few of you have got on smudgers back about him supposedly cheering for ipswich to win but i can find no reference to this, but hes not the first person to say he wants the opposition to win in order to benefit the club, many of you had all in the past said that you would like norwich to lose in order to get a manager sackd so it would be beneficial to lose, i for one dont agree with this, i wouldnt want my team to lose no matter what it did to the club, but smudger does have the right to say what he wants, as does wiz, cluck, bly, two sheds, ricky knightarther whittle, ricardo etc, just because they dont agree with everyone elses opinion doesn t mean they are not interested in the best thing for the club, i mean why would anyone rack up hundreds of posts on this site if he was a different team fan doesnt make sense, i agree he does seem to enjoy winding people up and to be honest a lot of you do take his posts way to seriously, he must be having fits of luaghter at some of the overreastions on here, i for one have laughed at many a post on here, so to everyone on here, theres no need for personal attacks against anyone just because they heave a different opinoion then yours, and besides what does truely matter to everyone the board, nope, th facilities, nope, the players, nope( as these come and go) or norwich city football club, yes football club, this matters most to me as ncfc will be here long after everything else has changed
Water off a Clucks'' back RAATW......and it''s the same old fish that get lured to the bait time and again.....      [:)] My user name identity has been compared to everything from Gary Glitter to Winston Churchill.....and my loyaly linked to such diverse entities as the SS and the currently popular Ipswich Town. It gives me a chuckle along with other posters/readers who are either too wise to get involved...or who see the gag coming a mile off...... I''m a big boy with broad shoulders and can parry anything this place throws at me. The same goes for Smudger, Arthur, Ricky, Shyster et al.  NCFC has always been a "diversion" for me from the challenges of real life and so I take none of it to heart....sad to say for my regular band of critics...... Without us to abuse this forum would soon disolve into a Delia Smith love-in....and we can''t have the sheep running the farmyard can we?
 4.
Why did you bother replying if you didn''t you ignorant scum fan/troll/windup merchant! It is more clear today than anyother that it is your opinion people are taking with a pinch of salt and not mine!
Silly boy..... come back when you can string two words together and make sense. And sorry to disappoint you CA...but I''m not remotely interested in how many years support you have. I''ll leave that to those who are bothered.... I saw my first City game in 1962 as it happens....and I feel that makes my opinion equal to any on here. I''m just not hysterical about things like the rest of you... Now where was I?.....Oh yes...Dear Mr. Magilton..............
 5.

Good luck to you mate and I hope you do well this season.
Why?
Why not?....... Unlike others on here who have such an irrational hatred of Ipswich...to me they are just another league match each season and another potential three points... It''s 40 odd miles away for heavens sake....and hardly rates as a "local" derby. Sheffield...Bristol...Nottingham...Birmingham...London...Liverpool etc maybe.....but Ipswich? They are only as important as you allow them to be....and to me they are no more important than Colchester or Southend.....
 6.

The one sad thing is you have turned a decent message board into one of the worst places for fans to come and chat with others about this club which is why I only come on here the day after matches to read what little there is left on threads before you have infected them. I hope the boards moderators smart up soon and get rd of you even if you haven''t broken any rules. You are trolls of the worst kind and have made this message board a pit of depression. If you call it reality then I pity your view.
Thats why a lot of regulars of left and why a lot of people don''t bother so much as they used to!
Boo hoo CA......Maybe they just left school eh? Be happy with your new "regulars"....and we won''t leave you I promise.
 7.
I disagree with nearly everything A Whittle says but I have no problem in defining him as a city fan. There are others on here that are really questionable. The one thing I pray for is that city fans can stay united in the stadium like we did on Sunday then I am convinced that relegation will be merely ''something that we flirted with back in November''. Then the issues of the baord can be raised when we are safe and the risk of dividing the fans any further at such a crucial time is gone. Even the most ardent board hater must agree that there is a time and a place and now is most definatley not that time!
Mmmmm....like some of us are bothered about what you think..... One spindly tree doesn''t make a forest.....
 8.
cluck is a bottler.. he shirked out of a challenge from a group of Womens Footballers which Baldyboy had offered.. Smudger reckons he''s Paolo Maldini and would of snikked them all... yet when i offered to pick him up and drop him off at the venue he went strangely quiet and bottled it.. money where your mouth is smudger..... If u cant back your words up then they mean nothing jas :)
What?........Where the hell did the "women''s football challenge" come from?  Wrong poster there I''m afraid........ As for Alex....I have enough trouble trying to understand the mentality of you lot in a "virtual" world....and so I certainly have no interest in spreading such banality into reality. This place for me is merely a comical diversion while working...and I find it hard to believe that any of you are as naive and closetted as you make out.  Maybe I fear the truth that the "thick as two planks" label of the Norfolk folk is true after all....especially as I''ve defended it against all-comers for most of my life....although I think I''ve been in denial whilst doing so.....
 9.
Have you just won the FA cup, or have I missed something? Looked like you failed to win at home against a poor Ipswich to me. It was our worst away display of the season by far. You looked very average and will struggle for sure.   And we didn''t hear a peep out of your ''fans'' until you scored. The stands were half empty 5 minutes before half time. Remember now?   BOTLACR
Pretty embarrassing isn''t it?   While your club moves on to better things....NCFC basks in it''s child-like glory at the foot of the table. Good luck to you mate and I hope you do well this season. The saving grace of this would be that wouldn''t have to go through this humiliating posturing again when we''re three leagues apart......... I still think your town is a dump compared to my fine City...but football wise you''re leaving us for dust.....
 10. Ha ha ha ha.......What a bunch of turnips you lot are....... Get out into the real world and find out how real people live and think....then you might just begin to grasp how embarrasssing you all are. Never before have I encountered so many unworldly mentalities under one "roof"....to the point where not only do I question all things Norwich City right now.....I also question the sheer foolishness of it''s general supporters who fully deserve their nationwide "simpleton" label.. No wonder Smith has been able to fool all of you all of the time.....
 11.
We made one of the leagues form sides look average in the second half, if Cureton had buried his chances we could well have won the game today (linesman could have helped). A couple of wins with performances like that and the confidence should come on in leaps and bounds.  14 wins from 32 games will keep us up.  We can help with that, make some noise at Carrow Road and help turn it into a fortress once again.  Too early to get carried away after one game but the promise is there, and the football was great to watch today.
They haven''t won away all season...and we only got a draw.....
 12. Errrrr......we got a draw at home against a bunch of kids who haven''t won away this season....... Hardly spectacular but then why let reality get in the way of hysteria?  Get a grip for Gods'' sake.
 13.

I don''t care what the binner fans say, I feel like we won the derby game and had DD stayed on..........we might well have!. Passing and movement was a 100% better and I thought Rusty and Chadders were imense today, and Curo''s goal was awsome. Taylor looked commanding, as dids Laps, and if this is the result of the Roeder effect..........then I want more.  Bring on Watford.[:D]
Thats it.....one half decent performance. Lets put all the delia and board squit behind us now shall we? Not on your bloody nelly!
Embarrassing isn''t it TwoSheds?  No wonder they swallow all of the tripe served up by Doncaster''s spin machine so readily...... We''re adrift at the bottom of the table yet suddenly all is well because we get 1 point from a game against a bunch of teenagers.....I somehow feel a Chelsea moment coming on.....
 14.

The real question is....does it matter? Nothing has changed from a week ago...and whether we lose 4-0 to Ipswich or get a a freak result it doesn''t reduce our debt...get rid of the Board or make the squad any better. So to coin a theatrical phrase...."Quite frankly my dear....I don''t give a damn".  We have far bigger fish to fry than simply beating a very ordinary team from a town 40 odd  miles away.  It''s all about priorities...and winning or losing to Ipswich isn''t one of mine I''m afraid.
Answer the question Cluck, did you cheer when the Scum scored?
No
I never thought that you would Arthur because you''re a genuine fan who''s just been hurting like the rest of us. Its Cluck I was asking the question.
While I don''t usually respond to such trite nonsense...the answer is of course not. It really shows what little grasp you have of reality when you constantly confuse dissatisfaction with the direction and ethos of the club with some kind of banal anarchy. It really is quite embarrassing to see how you have set yourself up as some kind of "beacon of light" in supporting terms...and such irrational pride usually comes before a fall. You''ve got many years to go before you can even begin to compare your support of NCFC to my own....so I suggest you get a grip up and concentrate on your own affairs before bothering your silly little head about what others think or do. As I''ve said before...such an obsession with Ipswich indicates that you live a very closetted existence...because once out in the real world you learn that it is just another club supported by just another bunch of supporters. They are only so important if you allow them to be....and quite simply...I don''t. It''s called maturity.......
 15.
I am sick of you Smuckin Fudgers and your ilk constantly whining and whinging - now at least you have shown your true (blue) colours. You girls epitomise what is wrong with our club - small minded bigotted six fingered single eyebrowed muppets.  Did anyone notice you in the Barclay shouting for the Binners....  No? A distinct lack of courage then ladies.
Inspirational post...just don''t expect more than an E in your GCSEs...... Childish Bilge........
 16.
No need to react so strongly Cluck, your lick-spittle Fish-Face is clearly happy to do all your dirty work for you. As you confirm, you are only on here to lark about. It is a forum of people with a passion and your pleasure is to usurp it for your own purposes. I saw your early posts, you are clearly a former Norwich supporter who has, unfortunately, found a niche out of which you can no longer escape. The dye is cast and you have condemed yourself to be the Board @rsehole with Fish-Face constantly attempting to orally cleanse you. Still, you and he are reasonable opponents and provide for distraction and interest on slow NCFC news-days and on that basis I welcome you back.
Embarrassing yourself so soon? My my..........
 18.
What concerns me the most is the propaganda the Ipswich fans post on here. Id love to make some of these arm chair pundits like Smudger and Cluck the managing director or manager of Norwich. What do you 2 idiots actually know about business , running a football club or football in general. Then ride their asses all the way into the Blue Square North. Get out of the curry house and stop commenting on things that you could not do yourself. I know all clubs have fans like you 2 idiots but, we dont have to like it do we. Either back Roeder and Norwich ( cos lets face it, decisons made hes our boss , board is still in control ) or F**K off and support Kings Lynn yeh ?
Hahahahahaha......says the "boy" with the awareness of a root vegetable. Stick to what you know matey....because you''re obviously way out of your depth at this level. Oh....and I''ll have large fries with that please....... NEXT.......
 19.
CLUCK wrote Could I have an explanation of "attempted to do"?....as I don''t think I''ve attempted to do anything that I haven''t actually done..... I''m up for a truce though Rudolf (note the proper user name use)....as long as it doesn''t have to include the weird Yank.  Sad to lose an enemy though....but I''m sure I can find some more with a few well chosen words.....[;)] Now, Cluck, old Yankee doesn''t need me or anyone else to stick up for him but he is an exile and this is his spiritual home so lay off him please. As for me you can have  a go all you like, I love it. You like others missed the point of my forgiveness comment because forgiving is a virtue which truly elevates the forgiver but not the forgiven and I needed to cleanse my soul. Finally, please don''t be deluded as to your acheivements; we all know what you are about and your success has been limited. The shame of it is, you truly have the ability to be a top poster on this site, someone with the wit to match Mello and Blah. Unfortunately, you have chosen notoriety, the wrong path, and have soldd yourself short. Think on it. Lots of love, Rudolph.
Nah...back to war it is then....as I''m afraid I don''t do "forgive" and can only do "compromise" at a push. Unfortunately you have taken your typically pious tone of "poster-ial" superiority....so happily it''s gloves off as usual. Preaching belongs in a church anyway Sadold....not on a football forum...and aspirations of becoming a "top poster"  [:|]   is best left for those of you who take yourselves farrrrrrr too seriously...not someone simply having a lark about. As for a "spiritual" home for the Yank.....don''t make me laugh.  Like all Yanks they feel compelled to stick their conks into other peoples'' affairs and then seek dominance having done so. You make a good pair believe me.... Onwards and upwards.........
 20.

We are all Norwich fans Shuck...and no you''re not naive..... It does seem however that a certain mentality within the said supporters are far too easily swayed and satisfied with second best.....and the minute this becomes "acceptable" and the "norm" we are lost....
Cluck, Surely this statement in itself is just another way of stating that those who disagree with your opinion are wrong? The club appoints a new manager, if it''s someone I rate but you don''t, I''m suddenly a fan who''s happy to accept second best and easily swayed...How is this the case??? It''s simply a difference of opinion, and if you just said that you didn''t rate the appoinment and didn''t think he''d do well because of x/y/z, then I''d have no issue at all, however when this opinion becomes fact (in your viewpoint), and comments of one form or another are made about those who disagree with it, that''s when people get frustrated, and often threads descend into petty name calling and insults. It''s not just your good self who does this, but numerous posters on the boards, and it can often de-value some very good points. Why on earth can we not have opinions posted which are simply that, e.g. "I don''t rate this guy because...", "I think the board needs to go because...", "We should play a 4-4-2 because..." etc? Instead we get "The board should have left years ago, the club is in the bin, we''re going down, and the wooly flock brigade are enjoying every minute on the happy coach with St Delia". So we''ve got an opinion voiced with no definition of why this viewpoint is held, and finished with an insult to anyone who disagrees, hardly conducive for open debating is it?
I''m afraid we have to return to the quote..."if the cap fits wear it"....because I don''t think I directed it at you personally. It was a simple generalisation to describe a certain mentality.....and if you then assumed it described your particular way of thinking then you must fall into this group. It''s not a made up mind-set...it actually exists and is a serious problem regarding how ambitious (or not) this club and it''s supporters really are in 2007. As for my opinion on the Board....it is one which is being increasingly accepted by other posters.  The truth about Smith "saving" the club has been well and truly blown apart...and eloquent posts regarding the finance and direction of the club since Smith took over have shown how the team has been badly neglected in favour of infrastructure. These are plain facts....and are unforgivable. Are we to say "Oh well...never mind" then go down a league as if it doesn''t matter and hope for the best? It''s a sad fact that those of us who want the Board banished have no power to do anything about it...but that will never stop our campaign to defend the club....not those in power who lay claim to the bricks and mortar. There is a massive difference. In life I''m afraid there are those who can play ping pong with a subject all night and happily come to no conclusion.... and there are others like me who simply call a spade a spade thus tackling a subject full on. It might not appeal to some....but that''s how I do it.  There are no expletives...no overt vulgarity...just strong views. Also there was rampant name calling before I ever came to this forum....so let''s not go there with that one. I noted "moron"...."idiot"  etc. regularly being used to stifle any dissenting voice.....so by comparison "sheep" and "turnip" are trivial. It''s all part of adult banter in the real world I''m afraid.....so what would you have us do.... be special friends and have a group hug? The worm has turned that''s all...and those who once controlled opinion can no longer do so...hence the constant bickering. It won''t stop now until there is the clear out at the club which some of us demand....so you must blame Delia Smith for not knowing when to go....not the concerned fans who simply insist on being heard.
 21.

Everyone has different opinions, does''nt make anyone more or less a supporter of our football club than anyone else.  The only problem i have with Cluck/smudger is their tendancy to submit posts that  have  ''all knowing, your so naive'' undertones.  Reminds me of a patronising primary school teacher.  There''s no right or wrong, just opinion.  Surely a message board is a forum for open debate, not just for those who think they no better than everyone else.
This is absolutely the case - everyone has an opinion and it is no more valid than anyone else''s; Gissing also puts it well - given all the same information people will always make different decisions (business and politics are prime examples) yet neither is right or wrong. You do, however, sometimes wonder whether Cluck/Smudger/Wiz et al think their opinions are more important than the rest purely because they post more - but to me that only really shows that they appear to have more time on their hands to waste.....and the old saying "empty vessels make the most noise" also applies!
An empty vessel also has far more capacity to receive new input.....whereas a full one eventually becomes stagnant and bitter.....
 22.

ADVICE - go and post on WOTB if you want an unmoderated forum
Is reading thoroughly a little difficult for you ? Go back re read my post then EDIT yours matey. Thanks. And as to the others that say posts are appearing at 3 am sometimes, well thats the exception not the rule, how many threads do we see asking if the mods are on strike because for hours no new posts appear ?? This is not a dig at the mods by the way, i just think that there is a need for a more fluid BB. Nothing wrong with that.
It''s just fine as it is and the reason why so many of us bother with it. The mods let alot of dubious stuff through each day and on the whole treat us like grown ups.....but it''s a bit of fun acting the kid every now and then and pushing the boundaries...... If the boundaries weren''t there...it would simply resort to name calling and insults. Something we never want to see on here.       [;)]
Do we not Cluck??? Well I am rather shocked if that is the case... what I like seeing is some thought process having to be put in to the name calling... but hey I think that some of the insults that people come up with on here are fantastic (including may of the ones that have been aimed at myself over the last year or so). Insults and name calling are part and parcel of message board banter and always will be... [:D] I am rather sure that even this post will result in a few insults being hurled in my direction...
I trust you didn''t miss the extreme irony in my final paragraph Smudge....as I am never one to let boring detail stand in the way of a good insult as you know!    [Y]
 23.
Due to the stupidity of the majority of City fans it is beginning to look that way WEEN... I thought that changes would happen wehn we found ourselves toying with the relegation zone for a second season running... we are now bottom of the league x amount of points adrift from the nearest team after todays fixtures and staring Div 1 in the face... yet the majority are perpared to give Glen Roeder (a proven loser) a chance. I really do despair at the moment mate... I think even relegation will see many calling for the board to be given another chance next season.... [:''(]
You''re spot on there Smudger...as I too thought the penny had finally dropped....but here we go on yet another "give them time" session. Any other ambitious club would have seen the writing on the wall well before now and taken action....but it seems that the turnips like it too much in the ground these days and simply don''t want to see the light.... I think the wooly support for this club is in just as much in danger as the team of the pitch. Neither knows where they are going....and neither has the guts or ambition to do something radical to improve things. As I''ve said before....they really do deserve each other.....
 24.
I think its a shame that a couple of people on here can''t be trusted to moderate the site when the mods are busy. Take this weekend, its the ''derby'' weekend and this morning the posts werent updated between 8am ish and 11.15am and Celia has already said they''ll all be out tonight at their Archant due, so presumeably there will be no-one to update anything tonight either. I''m not having a go at the mods either cause I think they do a difficult job and I know they mod posts after 5.30pm in their own time just seems a shame that people are willing to help but can''t. .
Yeah...like we want you in control of things don''t we?  Fox in charge of the chickens and all that..... There are plenty of other sites with 24 hour un-moderated forums if you want to read your own words instantly. This is not an official "fans forum" as such.....and is just an extension of Archant''s EDP web-site where you can discuss everything from sea defences to bus shelters. There is much more to read in the Pinkun than simply how NCFC are getting on....and it''s just the same on here. Allowing any Tom Dick or Harry to sift through the posts would rapidly lead to legal issues for Archant and bias of opinion.   Maybe the moderators do update "after hours"...but it is also part of their day job and many of us have to take home with us. It is more than likely an "obligation" that goes with the job....and we all know how employers like to get something "extra" out of their staff for nothing. They are doing just fine in my opinion. There is life outside of this little forum CA....and so when the moderators are unavailable due to real life getting in the way, we should simply switch off and do something else like catching up with the ironing or doing a bit of housework.......
 25.
I might disagree with some of Cluck, Smudgers, Arthur et al''s postings. Of late, though, I have found myself relating to them more and more! But however much I might disagree with posts on here, I wouldn''t just dive into assuming and labelling them as "non fans" etc etc-indeed, they are very passionate fans, with very strong opinions, nothing wrong with that at all. At the end of the proverbial, we are all Norwich fans on here, we all have a common bond and desire for the team to do well and be successful, the differences are how we perceive that might be achieved. Providing we can argue constructively and enjoy some good debate, all well and good, it makes the messageboard a nice little distraction and worth a look every day. There, aren''t I naive, never mind...
We are all Norwich fans Shuck...and no you''re not naive..... It does seem however that a certain mentality within the said supporters are far too easily swayed and satisfied with second best.....and the minute this becomes "acceptable" and the "norm" we are lost.... Better to go down fighting than sit around afterwards saying "if only"....This is precisely what NCFC has been doing since it lost it''s courage and integrity and sold it''s soul to a giggly tv celebrity......
