I hope they can patch things up (if he deserves the 2nd/3rd chance) because he could be a useful player at this level for us.

Can''t say I''ve ever seen him play (which could be a point in itself!). Not too fussed as long as we bring in some more cover. Personally I''d like to see Declan Rudd given the number 1 shirt for the start of the season. He has looked quality and always seems to rise to the occasion.

At the end of the day, there''s no harm in inviting him to train with the lads. Like Gunny has said, it''s an open-minded arrangment. If he looks like he could do a job, then get him in on a short-term deal with appropriate clauses etc. If he doesn''t, then say ''thanks but no thanks''. I can''t believe some people are so negative all the time about everything. Granted it''s not setting the world alight, but it might work out and quite frankly it''s a win-win situation for the club.
