1. Can''t say i hold much of a liking for the guy after his behaviour towards the end of his stay here.
2. Yeh I agree it can definitely get very frustrating at times. I guess it''s slower now due to the Dutch tour and the fact that lots of other teams are also away on tour.  Still you''d think that deals could still be done.
3. I''m sure Granty''s well aware of the fact that more signings and in particular a new centre back are required, hence the reason he says "so far".  I''ve every confidence that these signings will be made.  Keep the faith as some people would have said many months ago!
4.

does no one here recognise ambition? Dean Ashton was a young man wanting to play at the highest level.. not a piss poor championship side. he moved job to fulfil that ambition. how many of u will cheer when he scores for England? have none of u changed job? to go somewhere better and achieve more with more money and better prospects?  Compare that to Mercenaries Earnshaw and Etuhu who signed and from day one never had any intention of sticking around with their clauses.... yet they get hero-worshipped on here by some of you. jas :)
Another superb post Jas.
Yep, I''ve got to agree with both Jas and Arthur here.
5. Crikey Thorpe you did get bored! No seriously, I love the idea, just thinking there might be a few small problemos to overcome first buddy!!!!!
6.

I dont think it''s as clear-cut as saying it was definitely PG or the boards fault.  Afterall aren''t you forgetting another important component of any possible failure/success - the PLAYERS themselves.  The way I see it, we have a squad that is more than capable of challenging for the play-off positions at the very least (that is providing that we bring in a new centre back and central midfielder).  Therefore, if they fall short once more, I think certain questions must be asked about the player''s commitment to the cause.  Any failure this season (or any season for that matter) can have many contributory factors, including injuries, international call-ups, players leaving (against the managers wishes), insufficient transfer activity during the pre-season / January transfer window period and of course employing the wrong tactics/players. Whilst both the board and the manager can be held to account over some of the above factors, its not as easy as saying it was one particular parties fault, especially as some factors are unavoidable.  Overall I think with a little bit of luck and a couple more quality additions, we may have no real need to blame anyone for anything.
I think it must be clear cut after 10 or so seasons dont you?
Erm no I don''t and if you''d read the post properly you''d certainly have realised that Arthur.
Please explain?
To be honest Arthur it''s not "rocket science".  You stated that you believed the situation to be very clear-cut and proceeded to ask whether or not I did (rhetorically or not).  I had previously explained my thoughts (as early on as the first line of my original post) and so replied as such in the second post.
7.
Let''s not forget Scott Parker, he''s a former Yellow as well.
Yes but I really meant fully-fledged, permanent-signing type former Canaries.  I second pretty much everything that''s been said in reply to my original post.  My loudest cheer will be reserved for Greeno.
8. Yeh I noticed that too.  Does make you wonder if he should perhaps have been given more of a go here - or at the very least sent out on loan.  However after talkin to a couple Barnet supporting friends of mine, it would appear that he isnt all that good anyway.  They reckon he''s OK on the ball and scores a fair few (all be it at League 2 level) but that his big problem is his mentality.  He has been red-carded many times over the years, often losing his head early on in important matches.  Still, I guess that sort of thing can be ironed out.
9. Agreed Hogesar. Some people on here just need to lighten up a tad.

11. I definitely agree that what happened was way out of order, but I dont see the point in starting up any campaign now.

13. Are any of you guys going to the West Ham match on tuesday?  If so, what sort of a welcome will you be giving to the 3 ex-canaries on display? (Green, Ashton, Bellamy).
14. It''s not beneath me, it simply doesnt interest me.
15. Just in case any of you haven''t read the story on the FA''s official website, the England under 19''s manager Brian Eastick says that he only really heard about Chrissy Martin through Martin Hunter''s recommendation.  He admits that he had previously slipped under the radar.  Good on Hunter for getting Martin in there although i just hope his contract is being sorted out ASAP. http://www.thefa.com/England/U19s/NewsAndFeatures/Postings/2007/02/U19Turkey_Reaction.htm There''s also a pic of Chrissy wearing the three lions!!!!
16. Dont ask me why but ive never really liked Blackburn fans.  Also wolves fans think they have a devine right to be in the premiership.  Preston fans never really sing and wigan cant get many fans even though they''re in the Prem - i suppose it is and always will be a rugby league town!
17. I was just trying to find some feedback on how Jarvis is performing at Brisbane Road and i stumbled across this messageboard topic.  They start to suggest how much he would cost and whether or not he would go to them....... http://www.leytonorient2.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=137265&whichpage=1
18. There''s definitely been a few over the years.  Some of the ones i can remember are: - > 2001? vs Preston away, the ref had been terrible all game and one guy in front of me had obviously had enough.  Incensed at a wrong decision he stood up and bellowed at the top of his voice "You bald bast*** referee".  Which considering he was bald as a coot himself was pretty funny. > 2007 vs Preston away again, the ref had to hobble off injured and whilst he did so, the Preston fans in the Bill Shankly kop started to sing "You''re not fit to referee, you''re not fit to referee!..." Funny at the time i suppose. > 1998? vs Wolves away, i was sat with my dad in the Wolves end and we had that awful away kit with the neon flashes of yellow and green, i think it was black/purple ish.  When we ran out for the first half, all the Wolves fans were saying in their funny accents "what the fu** is that kit, it looks like shite".
19. I see Robbo has come out and declared an interest in the Norwich post.  What do people think to having him in the Carrow Road hot seat?  Personally I dont think he''d be a good choice.  I have two reasons for this: - 1) His relationship with arguably one of our best players (Earnshaw) is ''iffy'' to say the least.  I just worry that his arrival could prompt Earnie to feel somewhat put out - especially in the wake of such a public disagreement between the two.  The last thing we need is to lose our only proven goalscorer or for his morale / form to dip as a result of a managerial appointment. 2) For anyone who was ever sad enough to buy the VHS (old i know!) of ''Greatest Moments in World Soccer'' then they will already be privy to just how dull and uninspiring Robbo can be.  His narration during that video is tedium in the extreme and for that reason alone should never be considered for the job [;)] Yella Fella.
20. Worthy has taken the club as far as he can now.  He is a decent bloke and this isnt anything against him personally.  Our good start to the season (which has since disintegrated rapidly) served to cover up a failing regime.  The boards obvious reluctance to back the man in the transfer market clearly shows that they too arent too chuffed with conditions at the club.  Things cant go on like this and the change has to come at the very top.  Huckerby or no Huckerby. With the players we have in our squad, we should be more than capable for challenging for promotion. NIGEL WORTHINGTON OUT
21. 100% OUT. Enough of this rubbish. The man clearly thinks he''s become unsackable,
