1. I remember it well. We equalised a few minutes from the end, which resulted in a load of very angry Millwall supporters thumping any Norwich fans they could find. And that was in the grandstand! Hate to think what it was like on the terraces!
2. Rather than attempting to subvert a clear democratic mandate that some of the more self-righteous posters on here seem to want to do, I will be cheering-on the lads at Forest. As for the current Brexit negotiations, thanks to an utterly ineffectual PM they are an utter shambles. Far better to leave with no deal, accept a period of turbulence, and then negotiate a trade deal with the EU from the outside and from a position of strength rather than currently where they seem to have us over a barrel.
3.
What on earth makes you think we stood a chance of being one of the established 8 or so premier league clubs?
With the current ownership, we didn’t.
4.
That you don''t seem to understand the difference between a personal comment and an official party endorsement does suggest you are not the brightestThat you appear to also be supporting the FLA It is not too difficult to put two and two together
And come up with five.
5.

In the same way, I’m quite sure there are more than a few current activists on the left who have posted grossly offensive messages about current members of the government, but that doesn’t mean that all Labour supporters are naive, bigoted, self-righteous zealots.
oh dearthose Labour members views are not put up and kept on the official Labour Facebook page, in fact political parties will quickly distance themselves from what they see as offensive comment and/or behaviour (see Chope/Tory party)perhaps you are an FLA supporter as you don''t sound too bright
Having waded through page after page of of this twaddle, I’ve come to the conclusion that you''re very quick to make baseless and rather silly assumptions about people you’ve never met or know nothing about.
6. In the same way, I’m quite sure there are more than a few current activists on the left who have posted grossly offensive messages about current members of the government, but that doesn’t mean that all Labour supporters are naive, bigoted, self-righteous zealots.
7. “It''s not something I would do and indeed when he was totally ineffective at QPR, I did not. “ Neither did I, although I feel that in this climate of openess and honesty I must confess to having questioned the motivation, commitment and ability of our centre forward at one point during the second half! Didn’t boo, though, so hopefully that’s acceptable.
8. Being a football supporter, by which I mean attending matches home and often away as well, is something that’s in your blood. Shouting, cheering, booing, applauding etc etc are spontaneous actions. We don’t sit/stand there contemplating the whole time whether the sentiments of what we’re about say are going to be shared by our fellow supporters or whether they’ll be helpful or unhelpful. It’s an outpouring of passion and emotion and that’s what makes the difference between a supporter and a customer. It isn’t and shouldn’t be a no questions asked, blind sycophancy that some here seem to think it should be. Stop criticising your fellow supporters for doing somemthing that happens in every football ground up and down the country.
9. Why are you so quick to criticise others? It hasn’t exactly been the most inspiring of seasons, has it? At that stage the match appeared to be following the same format that we’ve seen over and over again so can you really be surprised that at this stage of the season some people decided to give vent to their frustration? Yes, the second half was much better, but uncharacteristically so. Let’s hope it’s a sign of brighter things to come but please don’t use the benefit of hindsight to castigate your fellow supporters in such a superior and judgmental manner.
10. But yet another game where we''ve produced less than the sum of our parts.
11.

Unless, of course, you''re Burton Albion in which case you can have terracing at both ends and all down one side!
Ah, but you can keep terracing if you get promoted to the Championship and don''t get relegated within two seasons. If by some miracle Burton stay up this year then in theory they will have to have an all-seater stadium for 2018/9
It''s farcical that on the one hand safe standing is not allowed but on the other hand "unsafe" standing (i.e Burton) is. A ludicrous inconsistency.
12. Unless, of course, you''re Burton Albion in which case you can have terracing at both ends and all down one side!
13. I agree, and in truth I haven''t heard the "...a goal" bit at the end for many years. I suspect many in the Lower Barclay don''t even know the correct words (certainly some near to me don''t). When Spurs sing their song at the correct (slower) pace it sounds excellent - we really should try to do likewise with OTBC.
14.
I''m still trying to find out why Alex Neil is the anti Christ ? What has he done to deserve this treatment? Judas fans
Failed last season when we were relegated from the Prem, and failed this season when he''s had arguably one of the strongest squads at his disposal. Away performances abysmal, home performances often not a lot better. Club now firmly re-established as a mid-table championship team.
15. Irritating programme because the audience isn''t properly vetted. Always targeted by swarms of whooping trots who boo anyone who dares to say anything vaguely right of their hard-left position.
16. After witnessing 90 minutes of utter dross yesterday, I got back to the car and switched on sports report to hear their reporter summing up our performance as "abject" which absoltely hit the nail on the head.
17. One of the more amusing responses from the long-suffering away support yesterday, but one which sums things up so well. The performances on our travels have been absolutely dire and, for a club that is alleged to have one of the strongest squads in the league, the team has consistently failed to get anywhere near the sum of its parts. The time for change was long, long ago.
18.
Read the OP again Broady. It was nonsense.
No, it wasn''t nonsense; it was ironic and clearly meant to be taken slightly tongue in cheek with the serious point behind it that the higher echelons within the club appear to be willing to settle for mediocrity. You, on the other hand, seem unable to stop yourself from trotting out your usual, superior, withering put-downs. Compared with the message boards of some other clubs, this one stagnates due to a lack of new blood and this is not helped when people like you jump all over them when they dare to post something.
19. LDC, I tried to give you a bit of moral support on your "numpties" thread but I think you''d better put on your tin hat yet again. I absolutely respect your opinion and your right to air it, but I certainly don''t agree with it. Football is a far more ruthless business than it used to be 40 years ago and there''s no place for sentimentality and misplaced loyalty. The cost is simply too high. It''s time for change and it needs to happen now, and if losing more matches is the only way to force the Board''s hand, then so be it.
20. Too many people are rather too quick to resort to petty abuse, simply because they don''t agree with someone else''s opinion. They think they''re being witty, and because many of their fellow posters do likewise, they consider it acceptable, but in reality it''s akin to bullying. For what it''s worth, I disagree with LDC, but he is entitled to his opinion and to argue its merits.
21. I certainly think the level of displeasure shown at games is far less than it would be at many other clubs. Norwich supporters are remarkably tolerant and generally things have to have reached a perceived point of no return before the booing and chanting set in. The issue here is that for many who attend week in, week out, that point has been reached so the long-term good of the Club is best served by change happening sooner rather than later.
22. Having watched this board from the sidelines for many years and not necessarily agreeing with many of LDC''s opinions (certainly not this one), I never cease to be amazed at the level of opprobrium that seems to be generated. There are some who seem to take great pleasure in labelling LDC a troll while simultaneously being highly abusive. Oh well, that''s the interweb for you.
