1. Sometimes you lot amaze me. Any Tom, Dick or Harry put''s up a post saying ''my mates cousin tells me that Rioch is DEFINATELY going to be the next manager'' and we all debate it. A bookies suddenley lowers the odds on someone from 40/1 to 6/1 and nobody''s got anything to say?!?
 2. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/norwich-specialsOh dear...
 3. Tickers"]
ND has admitted the club had an "informal conversation" with the Irish FA which they didn''t intend to be made public (info from Chris Goreham). I bet they didn''t [:@]
So, no "formal" approach then. A lot of fuss over nothing and the NI FA should have kept their gobs shut.
The point is, as I am sure you realise, that they made any approach at all.
But what for? Temporary manager, permanent manager, Director of football? We''ll probably never know and that''s why they should have kept quiet.
A referance for a certain A Boothroyd?

 6.
Also Skybet have completely closed the book on the next manager. Just a thought..........[:D]
Victor Chandler''s book is still open if anybody still fancies their chances.
 7. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/norwich-specialsTry this.
 8.
Luke Chadwick?  David Bell? Matthew Pattison? Doesn''t hurt to kepp the opposition guessing as to your final team. If it came up as a revelation in 11 v 11 then I would guess at Bell or Chadwick
Bell''s a few weeks from starting and it can''t be Chadwick surely! Omzuri maybe...
 9. ... after his spell as a stand-in striker, Roeder said: “Not necessarily. Ironically, we had an eleven against eleven at the training round this week and we tried someone else in there and it worked very well.” Oh God Doc isn''t fit again is he!
 10.

I had a conversation with Robert Chase about the signing of Darren Beckford a few years ago. Apparently Chase went round to Beckfords house before he had signed to talk over the deal. Beckfords house was a complete tip and ol'' Mr Chase left with the feeling that if he couldn''t keep his house in order then how could he keep his football in order. The manager (can''t remember if it was Stringer or Walker) convincted him he was a great signing and so he agreed. Beckford turned out to be crap and Chase never spent on a big money player again. The begining of the end. That is why Beckford was the worst signing ever.
I will always remember my first game at Carrow Road - against Everton in the early 90s. My old man was moaning about Beckford before the game - ''what a donkey, a complete waste of money etc, etc'' Beckford proceeded to score a hatrick in a 4-3 win!!! I do believe that this was just a one-off performance by Beckford, however....[H]
And that was a pre-season friendly I believe!
 11. Quite a few. It was just about the time he left the club.

 13. It''s annoying me just watching him sitting next to Tony Mobry!
 14. Having lived in Spain for the last 7 years this was the first live game I''ve attended in that time. I thought I''d share my thoughts.   Marshall - Nothing to do, although needs to communicate with his back 4 more Drury - Needed to get forward more in the first half Shackell - Looked good. Best defender on the pitch. Omozusi - Looked like a right back playing in the centre. Get the feeling he will be a good full back Otsemebor - Concentrate man! Clingan - Best player last night. With a decent team around him could be very influential. Fozzy - Please forwards sometimes...once...maybe Hoolahan - Looked good, but worried that he might be pusehed about a bit. Russell - Commited with not much end product. Lupoli - Needs match fitness quickly OJ - Headless chicken. Overall - Worried about lack of height. Shackell and Croft looked like men amongst boys. Cheers.
 15.
Even if the person in question is English?  - McDougall''s Perm   Yes.  If we''re going to be politically correct, we have to apply it to everyone equally.  Not really.   I used to joke about how Nelson Mandela was the first black South African leader of S Af, and how I was warned off using the term "black" so I corrected myself by referring to him as the first African American South African leader.  It was at open mic comedy shows, and i used to get pretty good responses with my racial humor that poked fun at political correctness.
We are talking about the colour of our skin. I am white. My wife is black. Rio Ferdinand is mixed race. End of. (By the way Rio is not part of my family![:P])
 16.
Well I wasn''t going to say too much incase I was wrong, but from the sketchy details I was given. he is well over 6ft , ex top team youth, good goals to game ratio, coloured, playing in a lower league I thought it might be Beckford,, but thats just who sprung to my mind.
Coloured! Strike a light. I believe black is the correct termanology.[:P]
 17.

Game playing by Roeder to force Newcastles hand?
Whatever you''re on, I want some!.
Because of course football is an honourable business and no such tom-foolery would ever happen!!
 18.

That said is Howard worth more than 500,000 not for me he isn''t.
Waste of money for an over the hill journeyman
Leicester are not going to take a loss of £1.000.000 on a player that was only recently signed and will do a job for them this season. To my mind clear game play.
 19. When I''m not signed in I can roll my cursor over post to get a flavour of it before I click on it. When I sign in that option stops. Could this be changed?
 20. “He was at Southampton last year. They wanted him but could not get a work permit but he''s married now so that''s no longer a problem.“The lad was recommended to me so we had him over for the last couple of weeks and he''s been tremendous. He''s quick and has got a lot of everything."Sounds like Southampton has a mole in their camp. I would not be happy if I were them.
