  1. I think that people are not getting overly carried away, but that they are simply getting caught up in the fact that next Saturday a NORWICH team will take to the pitch at Carrow Road for the first time in a very long time! New faces and changes will always bring fresh enthusiasm, so we are right to get excited. I am sure no-one on here wants us to do badly, so join in with the positive mood!
  2. Will be interesting to see Bell on his prefered right side, if as I assume, Pattison will be on the left
  3. It might just be that Fozzy will be a new man after having been dropped?....
  4. Very impressed with the Pink un live feed thing so far!!!! Much better and faster than the Beeb!
  5. sorry! Being stupid! Misread it completely!!!
  6. Team news looks that way to me!!!!
  7. Hucks is gone! Some are happy, some not. Nothing we can do about it so move on!! Getting bored of all the headlines critising Roeder and supporting Hucks. Hucks was a complete legend, but it is the job of the Manager to move players on when he believes their time is up. Time for us all to think about future!!!!!
  8. 9. Born in Northern Ireland. No interest in football whatsoever when I was growing up, I think mainly because I was crap! Moved to Norwich in 1998, started to take a vague interest, and it went from there. I have now moved away from Norwich again (bloody jobs!) but go to as many games as I can, and bleed yellow blood. Take a lot of stick from mates who support Premiership clubs, but that is life. At least I can say I lived in Norwich, most of them have no connection with their club of choice, other than they liked the colour of the kit or something! OTBC!!!
  10. I think I might have one of the oddest! It is a set of Russian dolls that I bought in Prague last year. Croft goes inside Shackell who goes inside Gallacher who goes inside Drury who goes inside Earnshaw! Well they make me laugh anyway!
  11. 12th Would be great now. Top half, well away from the bottom. Would be very happy with that. Without being overly down, I hope we don''t make the playoffs, our squad is just not ready for an assault on the Prem, and it will take Roeder another year or two to get us moving in that direction.
  12. Coventry have managed to secure a last minute deal to avoid administration! www.ccfc.premiumtv.co.uk/
  13. Brum have decided to hold out for more money, can''t blame them really, but not looking forward to this weekend without Tiny!

  15. Can''t remember which comic it was in but I remember a comic strip called the Jocks and the Geordies! Sounds a little bit like us at the moment. In the strip they were always fighting between themselves...not a good omen!
  16. Absolutely! I second that one! Always works hard, and has finally got a goal. Here''s hoping it will be followed by some more....
  17. In two minds really... Looking forward to the game, and seeing if the international break will have given everyone a bit of time to settle down, get rid of the negativity that will have followed the shambles at QPR and be up and at em again. Only fly in the oinment for me is this. If we win will Duffy get the job? I really feel that it would be a step in the wrong direction at the moment, but I do have a sinking feeling.....
  18. It looks to me that we are going to have a much stronger "team" ethic, rather than relying on one or two individuals to pull something out of the hat every week. If you look at how well West Ham did in their first season after promotion, they did not have a team full of stars, but a really tight group of players, who worked bloody hard, week in week out, if we can get closer to that we will do well in my opinion. I am pleased with the people Grant has brought in, and look forward to seeing them in action! I don''t think that we will miss Earnie, as goals will be more evenly spread, nor Etuhu because the other central midfielders we have, though possibly less talented, will turn up more often to get on with their job! So is the squad stronger? Most definitely!
  19. Guys, I don''t often post on here, as I don''t often have anything to say, but this one has got me going a bit. Earnie will be missed for his goals, there is no doubt about that, but how often were people complaining last season that he did not do enough leg work to help out the team further back down the pitch, that he upset the balance of the team, and that we were playing the 4-5-1 (4-3-3) system to suit him? Maybe now we can restore that balance, and we will start to see some goals coming form other members of the team on a more regular basis! With last seasons top scorer as his replacement, I think Grant has done his best to sort this one out, let''s wait and see now who else comes in, and how the balance and shape of the team works in a world without Earnie!
  20. tough one this as injury hell                                                      Warner Cave-Brown           Spillane/ Shacks           Dion                  Drury Croft                       Hughes                      Dickson               Eagle                                Martin                       Hucks  Subs  Gallagher, Earnie, Renton, Doc + ?
  21. I don''t wait for the gesture, it is the number on my back. Oh and it''s on my shirt as well!
  22. Turned 30 last week. Top of the list was this season''s shirt, (I had not managed to upgrade!) with my name on the back and number 13!! was told it was immature. Any thoughts? Am I in need of a good dose of George''s Marvellous Medicine? Or should I be allowed to remain as I am? A FAN (Who wants everyone to know, which seems more important when you no longer live in Norwich...)!!!    Got the shirt by the way. Am I getting bigger or is medium not what it used to be?......
  23. A missed opportunity that would have provided bags of creativity in attack, can you imagine an attacking midfield behind Earnie, of Croft on the right, Hucks on the left and Koumas supporting through the middle? Bloody hell, we would be unstoppable! There might still be the small matter of a pretty leaky defence to sort out... but I quite like the "we''re going to score one more than you" attitude!
  24. Truly shocking, we couldn''t get forward, dickson couldn''t be bothered..........but........ young Eagle came on and staked his claim, did as much running in the short time he was on there as anyone else in yellow, put a few good balls in the box, and had a few shots. Let''s see some more of him! Please Grant!!!
