1. Greetings PUPs and welcome to week twenty one of the Rays Funds for FONCY season. This week we have another one of our current 90%ers Statto in charge and making the final selections. Statto has been ultra consistent since he joined us His overall record of 65/81 80% is right up there with the best. I think it’s only a matter of time before Statto gets his name on Ray’s signature. In fact I think it’s going to be this week because all you PUPs have been on top form so our luck is due to change. Don’t forget for your selection to be eligible for the final six it must be listed on Bet365 website. You can also check this on odds checker.   Now hopefully this site will allow an uninterrupted thread this week. Pete assures me he knows a man who understands this quaint little message board with all it’s quirks and foibles. But on the evidence of this afternoon that man is not all he’s cracked up to be. If this doesn’t work then there’s the face book page. Or my email is canaryeddie@aol.com  but that rather defeats the object which is to display the selections on here for Statto to choose a final six. So now I’ll hand the thread over to Statto. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you get your name in the Free Bet Hall of fame. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for our great clubs academy.   Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Jamie ... the free bet is yours.......[:)]...   As always I leave you with Rays signature which now reads :- Carve their names with pride.Yankee,3,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork, Inch High,3, Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim, Norfolkchance1, Scooby,2, Trent Canary, Cosmic Twin, Graham Humphrey, Leedscanary, NcfcStar, Herman, Delia’s Devonshire Dirtbox, Lappinitup, yes Norfolkchance1 £1476 for the Academy,so far.
 2. Meant to add that I really honestly can''t see where the result of this game on Saturday can have any impact on whether we stay up or now.
 3. Great post Canarycol. But we''re now in the minority buddy. I don''t know when the fans stopped caring about the FA Cup. It''s maybe because it''s not promoted by Sky. ITV just can''t market it in the same way a dedicated sports channel can. But it''s huge. The FA Cup has massive prestige all over the world. It''s a national treasure and you can bet our players are dreaming of what could be possible. I believe we can win it and it would be criminal to throw this chance away.
 4. Can''t see Lambert rotating like that because I can''t see the players wearing it. Whilst some fans couldn''t give a stuff about the FA Cup I reckon our players are right up for it. We are currently the 9th best side in the country. If the eight above us continue to draw each other a path to the final could open up for us. On the day in a one off game we could beat anybody. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for most of our players. You can bet they have realised it too.
 5. Chris Martin has enough ability and strength to play at a good standard. Maybe not Premier League but who knows. Others have made the transition from League One unexpectedly. But what sets them apart from Martin is they want it more. I get the impression Chris doesn''t want to be a pro footballer enough and while that''s the case he will struggle to make an impact at any level.
 6. I''d love to chat with you WW but that dogs dinner of a post is givin'' me a headache.   If what you''re saying is Lambert wanted Snodgrass then we''ll have to see what happens in the summer. Of course "Snoddy" may sign a new contract before then which would make all of this academic.   I''m rather liking this relationship between our two clubs. It reminds me  of Liverpool and Crewe a few years ago. It''s not all one way though. When we get the category A academy status we may end up with a few youngsters that could get experience in the lower leagues with you.
 7.
Those look excellent Nutty buddy, might get one for a birthday if I hint long enough but also I''d love a full size replica for our new house but they are pricey! No, you''re not on the list, you''re not getting in :)
You got some brass neck on you Ruddy buddy. You won''t let me on your list and then hint at me spending 48 quid on your birthday present.[:@]   You''re ''avin a giraffe buddy!   Mrs Crouch ''ad one of them too....
 8.
Dean Windass has got to be worth a mention.
"No one has more ambition for Norwich City than me" [:S]
 9. Good find Ruddy buddy[Y]   My one is the resin one.   Some are available here : -   http://www.tracksideltd.co.uk/node/95   Brass ones are £48   Can I be on your list now[:^)]
 10. The one over the players entrance is the actual engine plate. There must be another one out there somehere.
 11.

Great picture! P.S I want a replica of that sign above the tunnel. One above my baby son''s bed and one above the front door - epic
I got one behind the bar at bayer club. It''s a replica of the engine plate from the Norwich City steam engine. Mine was brought for me by an engine driver on the North Yorks steam railway. They sold them in the shops at the stations on that line. That was quite a few years ago so don''t know if they still do.
 12. As suggested by it''s name The Vine apparently serves wine by the glass for the little ol'' winedrinkers amongst us[D][Y]   [;)]
 13.
I don''t see anyone saying it isn''t. We should be free to post whatever we want, we can ignore what we don''t want to comment on.
I agree. And we should be able to comment on any posts we want. As long as the posts aren''t abusive in a personal nature the plastic mods can do one[:#]   [;)]
 14.
Captain "One-season"?? He wouldn''t sign a longer contract than a year - muchos commitment from our "captain" at the time. What did he expect, Barca and Real to come knocking ?? The guy is a joke. He deserves wolves.
As I remember it he was signed as a free agent in the January. His contract was for the rest of that season with a one year option. Which was sensible. I wasn''t aware that he refused to sign a longer contract. I thought the option was taken.   I''ve seen far worse for us and he certainly played for the shirt when I saw him. But it''s all about opinions I guess.
 15.
Hucks thinks he''s a good player, also said Carl Robinson was a good player. Maybe were all a little too harsh on these players? They were at the club in a pretty bad time, poor form etc. Fozzy clearly has the ability, he just has a funny attitude, seems too arrogant. But at the same time seems to not really try anything to special, on the occasion he did try a Fox like long range pass, they normally paid off, he just went for the simple ball most of the times, and put in little effort to chase players down and cover defensively. Also making him captain was probably the second worst thing Roeder ever did for us. Not a captain in a million years.
Carl Robinson was a good player GP. Better than a lot that followed him. But so was Fozzy. Not everyones cup of tea but at the time was the hardest working player in the team. I remember when I was lucky enough to get a Colney visit they showed me the player stats in the classroom. Fozzy ran further than anyone and his passing percentage was excellent. I remember going to Blackpool in November 2007 where we won 3-1. I picked Fozzy that night as Roeder''s future captain. The next week that''s exactly what happened. We then only lost one of the next 15 games and by mid Feb we were just four points of 6th and a playoff spot. But then it started to go wrong for Roeder and Fozzy became one of the many scapegoats. The decline of our club had nothing to do with Robinson or Fotheringham. It had everything to do with Roeder''s inability to build on his initial success and ultimately destroy it.
 16. Barbie won[<:o)]   Pete limped home last[:''(]
 17. On the basis of what I have seen this season I would have a back four of Naughton Ayala Whitbread Drury. Both fullbacks stay on their feet and prevent crosses often at the expense of corners. However we defend set pieces really well so usually deal with them. But if we are playing a side with no dangerous right winger I''d play Tierney at left back for his strength on the ball and ability to get forward. Of course if Drury can''t stay fit we have to scrap this idea.
 18. Think you can watch it here Crabby..   http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00qcpzh   Enjoy!
 19.

Jesus Christ, whats with the inner circle hissy fits ruining every thread?
This.
Agreed. People come on here expecting to discuss Norwich City, not to see grown men trade insults. This ends. Now.
Well said(typed) Pete!
Well typed Butler.   You people who never post about Norwich City or football just spoil it for the rest of us.   Now what do you think about Howson? Do you think the deal will go through? What difference do you think he will make to our midfield? Do you think someone will be sold or will he just give the others a hand?   I think the deal will go through but I thought that last year about the guy from Peterborough. I don''t think anyone will be sold but think he''s a good addition to what we have. I think he will help us play more direct football through the midfield and will also get beyond the strikers at times. And I think he will score goals.
You people! Never give it a rest do you? No matter what I posted about you and the usual suspects would have it back to DS/Season tickets/ etc. Anything to cause another non essential stupid argument. My opinion is that the deal is done and he will add a little extra missing something to our midfield.
Missing what?
 20. Your buddy Ruddy saved that pen Purple. It wasn''t a bad pen and was a very good save. On the balance of the whole 90 mins we probably didn''t deserve to win that game but what happened was a sign of things to come. So many games we won at the death because we wanted it that bit more than the opposition. And in the end that was what was important. Not any particular win but the fact we wanted it more than Swansea and Cardiff.   As for Cotterill, I agree what you say about his position or lack of it. But on the basis that Worthy was a good judge, and on the basis that he often had to sign players who were versatile, I reckon he would have made it with us.
 21.
Of course not Nutty buddy, you, the inner circle and the purists are far too entertaining. Besides when you can leave each other alone the whole lot of you make measured knowledgeable posts. Don''t mock the list though. ;)
''fraid not Ruddy buddy. Some of them never post about Norwich City FOOTBALL. They can''t. Just ask Roy Blower.   Now can I be on your list. If not, I''m going back to the basement to find Hexem.
 22.
I presume he was referring to CMS rather than Taiwo or whatever his name was.
Yes him. It wasn''t in the January window but was at the loan deadline. I was under the impression that he was coming here with an agreement to make the transfer permanent in the summer. For what ever reason it didn''t happen and I guess we''ll never know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.   If he had signed would we still have bought Vaughan? Would that have been a good thing or a bad thing?   The imponderables of football and the transfer market!
