1.
It is still Cardiff''s to lose, and with Reading coming up expertly I wouldn''t be so confident of automatics. Btw, your relegation to League 1 hasn''t been the inspiration for your success. It is pretty obvious you have got a group of fairly average players who are being masterminded and turned into a top team by one pivotal figure. Don''t count your chickens before they''ve hatched dear boys.
I wouldn''t worry about us if I was you. You should read the opening post and digest it properly. I don''t want to take anything away from paul Lambert and our team but you were poor. Worse than poor. You had no spine, no passion, your players had no respect for your fans and didn''t give a toss about the humiliation. When we scored the 5th any one of our team could have scored it. Your players didn''t care. You''d managed to get together a few thousand glory boys to go with your usual pitiful support and your players just downed tools in front of them.   Surprisingly, as well as no spine and passion your team had feck all invention and ability. You have one player who can shoot and that''s it. That one player doesn''t even belong to you. Just read the opening post one more time but this time take it in.
 2. Tilly - this is like a home game for Nora. It''s not often the Canaries are in her neck of the woods.   I wonder if she''ll make herself known to us[^o)]
 3. Greetings PUPs, welcome to week thirty eight of the free bet season This week it’s the turn of our great friend Tilly to be in charge and make the final selections. Now Tilly is one of our most consistent PUPs. He was a 90% medal winner last season where he selected correctly in 37 of the 40 weeks. But Tilly brings more to these threads than consistently good picks because he is also always very supportive of the social side and often offers sound advice where needed. Last year we had Tilly to thank for being able to Rays Funds at the World Cup when he generously donated the proceeds of his monster NCFC flag to finance it. And earlier this season he willingly gave up his turn so that young Nana could pick on his 18th birthday.   Of course Tilly is also quick to recognise others achievements. I have been the lucky recipient of two such “Tilly Awards”. The first was a conifer in order for me to grow a fence to sit on.[:S] And the second was a wooden spoon for my contributions to NCISA. This second award was made doubly special because it followed a severe double finger wagging admonishment for something I’d posted on here.[:O]   This season Tilly has been consistent in our league after a difficult start. He sits comfortably in the Fab40 with a 73% strike rate having given us 27 winners from his 37 selections. He is also in great form right now with 8 winning selections from his last 9. But good as Tilly is he will need all our help if he is to follow up Star’s excellent win last week. So let’s all offer our very best selections for his consideration this week. As always we will have our PUPs Library on the NCISA web site to help us.   Last weekend City’s under 19s took part in a tournament in Guernsey. City were unbeaten in the tournament and came second to hearts under 19s. Details can be found here. The reason I’m posting this is because by taking part on these threads all you PUPs are actively helping our young players to take part in tournaments such as this. NcfcStar’s magnificent win last week took this season’s winnings to £336 and the overall total to £1298. So all of us have a small stake in our clubs future plus we have a lot of fun along the way.   I’ll hand the free bet over to Tilly now, enjoy your week in charge, there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you get your name in the Free Bet Hall of fame. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for our great clubs academy.   Good luck all you PUPs... take it away John... the free bet is yours.......   As always I leave you with Rays signature which now reads :-   Carve their names with pride.Yankee,3,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork, Inch High,2, Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim, Norfolkchance1, Scooby,2, Trent Canary, Cosmic Twin, Graham Humphrey, Leedscanary, NcfcStar, yes Norfolkchance1 £1298 for the Academy,so far.
 4. It''s up on the site now so Tilly has been made redundant[;)] But thanks for posting[Y]   Interestingly we still have over half of the 3200 allocation left for sale!
 5. I''m also right with Tilly and Mr Fruit. I''m pleased Tilly has informed me that I have a ticket. As I will be travelling on CC I have to also assume I have travel. Can Tilly confirm that for me too. I know I could ring the ticket office, or email them like I did for the Ipswich tickets, but an announcement from the club would be a lot simpler.   Agree with Mr Fruit about away season tickets too. Strange that priority group one shoulkd get their tickets last. When I got my scum ticket I asked my mate, who is an AST holder, if my seat was close to his and he couldn''t answer me for nearly a week!
 6.
I bet that wouldn''t of been the case had the game not been a monday night and on sky
Talk about looking for negatives!   The game is live on Sky PLUS everybody who still wanted to go has got a ticket. That should make everyone happy[:)]
 7.
Looks like i''m just tarred with the anti- NCisa brush then - no inner circle for me[:D] bugger and I so wanted a badge
There ya go Drinks[Y]   Wear it with pride[:)]
 8. Thanks again Star. This truly was a great win. Not just because of the amount of winnings but also because your performance in the final six was much better than our suggestions. The stats will show only 63% of our suggestions were correct. But amongst them were some great suggestions that you managed to pick out. So well done Star and all you PUPs.   Star''s win took our total for the season to 336.68 and we still have three weeks to go.  This is more than we won last season even taking into account the World Cup win last summer. So it’s certainly going to be another great season for all us PUPs.   Here are this week’s  stats: - 54 of us picked this weekend with 40 correct, making a success rate of 74%. Between us we gave NcfcStar  27 different selections with 17 winning making a success rate of  63%.   Here is the latest PUPs League showing those with over 50% correct from at least 50% of the available weeks. There’s no change at the top where Beaus, Inchy and Trent all selected another win.   The dotted line separates the top 40 because only the top 40 at the end of the season will be assured of a go at the final selections next season. It remains very close.     Beauseant    [*]      30-34     88 Inch High             32-37     86 Trent Canary      32-37     86 Cosmic Twin       31-37     84 Mr. Bump            31-37     84 Norfolkbroadslim             31-37     84 Herman                26-31     84 Canary Cherub  30-37     81 Ginger Pele        30-37     81 Newyorkcanary                30-37     81 Norfolkchance1                30-37     81 Scooby 26-33     79 Davo      29-37     78 Sports Desk - Pete           28-36     78 PurpleCanary     20-26     77 Graham Humphrey         28-37     76 Jed Exodus         27-36     75 Muddy funster 27-36     75 Excited Canary  23-31     74 Statto    27-37     73 Til 1010 27-37     73 SWP=Poor Man''s Ruel Fox           22-30     73 Jimbo Jetset       19-26     73 Sparkos                26-36     72 Charlie Farlie      25-35     71 Fonejacker         25-35     71 Delia''s Devonshire..        17-24     71 Mandie Moo''s Mear Kat               17-24     71 Diesel Doris        26-37     70 Pboro_Canary   23-33     70 Big Slob                19-27     70 Chelle   25-36     69 Hughesy              25-36     69 City-Til-I-Die       24-35     69 NCFCStar             25-37     68 Bruce Eating Walkers Crisps         23-34     68 methcanary        23-34     68 Obiwancanary   19-28     68 The Butler           17-25     68 Lappinitup           22-33     67 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Dogger 18-27     67 Shack Attack      15-23     65 Tony Da''Wonderful         23-36     64 GMF      22-35     63 Fellas     21-34     62 Duncan Edwards              18-29     62 1st Wazzock       22-36     61 Yankee Canary  22-36     61 Hissing Sid           22-37     59 nutty nigel          22-37     59 Cityangel             21-36     58 Mister Chops     19-33     58 Leedscanary       20-35     57 Blahblahblah      18-33     55 Mandie Moo      19-36     53 WITS      17-32     53 Kathy    16-30     53
 9.
Even if Cardiff, Norwich & Reading each got 7 points (based on your season average of less than 2 per game) from the last 4 games then Swansea would still need 4 wins out of 4 to equal Cardiff on points (82) and on top of that Cardiff currently have a +6 goal difference on Swansea. So, if Swansea have averaged less than 2 points per game then it''s unlikely, based on your logic, that they would average 3 points per game (i.e. 4 wins) from their last 4 games. On top of that, in the process Swansea would need to improve their goal difference on Cardiff by 7 goals. (almost 2 goals per game)
Which is exactly why I said (a) in your equation, ie Swansea winning all their games, was the unlikliest part.   I reckon none of the prices offered are realistic. If you think the true odds of Swansea are nearer 100/1 what would you consider the true odds of Cardiff, Norwich and Reading?
 10.

The odds are interesting though. 25/1 Swansea.Who celebrated like they were already promoted when they beat us just over a week ago.
Those odds are not very generous or realistic. For Swansea to get 2nd (a) they have to win all of their last 4 games & (b) Norwich, Cardiff & Reading all have to screw up big time. I''d say the chances of all that happening are more like 100/1.
When the big bookies offer you odds they are never generous or realistic. Our six homes on Saturday paid over £115 for the academy. At the odds offered by Boyle Sports the payout would have been only £72.   In this case none of the prices are generous or realistic. What would you say were the true odds for Cardiff, Norwich and Reading?   I reckon the unlikeliest part of your equation is (a). Cardiff, Norwich and Reading have got less than two points per game all season so to better that but drop still dropping 4 would not really be screwing up bigtime.
 11. The odds are interesting though.   25/1 Swansea.Who celebrated like they were already promoted when they beat us just over a week ago.
 12. Or my party one further up the board that displaced the most important text.
 13.
But at least he gave you a fine Scottish name to beef up that Welsh ''Un (Cardiff, Swansea.......deary me)
And if you put those two names together you arrive at one of the greatest English footballers of all time. But that would be as off beam as you usually are.   The first consideration was Martin Peter but us guys don''t always get our own way. So we decided to try and keep the young ''un''s voice down to a roar.

 16.
Nutty whats the biggest pay out ever>?
Mister Chops holds that honour with a win of £138 Nana.
 17. I remember Cluckin'' Nora regailing us with tales about her bank of season tickets that she finally "threw in" as a protest. I often wondered about the reality of this claim because she is a renowned megalomaniac. But I''m now wondering if they actually did exist and were in fact used by the purists.   As Tilly said, it''s all gone a bit quiet now. But there''s always the possibility that someone would remember sitting next to a purist who suddenly disappeared without trace during our slide toward League One. If anyone thought they did sit with a purist perhaps they could let us know so that we can clear this up.
 18. I think he''s a Spurs fan. He''s certainly part of the Diaspora anyway[H]
 19.

Let`s discuss Grant Holt!
I know we had a good result on Friday so it seems harsh to cast doubt on anyone''s peformance plus I know that Holt was immense for us last season, we love him to bits and he''s scored some great goals in the past. I also appreciate that he works hard, puts himself about and holds the ball up well but ................ either he''s still not fit so should he be playing or maybe he''s going to find goals hard to come by in this league. Also I dont understand why he spends so much time on the wings when he should be in the box????? I know he did great for us last season but this league is a whole different ball game for him so do you think he''ll cut it in the championship or do you think like me that we need to get an experienced championship striker in on loan to give him competition or play instead of him with Martin or Jackson if he isnt cutting the mustard? Whats your  thoughts ?
Well I reckon we need someone better than Holt if we have designs on promotion to the Premier League.   Chris Martin''s ok though.
 20. Thanks for posting[Y]   Us PUPs are very interested because we have a stake in our youngsters.
 21. It''s interesting you should mention the heating allowance Tilly. Because my old mate Lyphov Riley reckons he can bask in the sunhine sipping his Appletons whilst keeping an eye on the weather forecast in dear old Blighty [H][D]   He reckons that if the UK temperature drops is recorded as an average of zero degrees Celsius or below over seven consecutive days then he can claim a further cold weather payment which he uses to buy t-shirts and after sun lotion.   He always votes Tory BTW.......
 22.
My scapegoats are: Delia
No change there then[;)]   [8]Don''t worry be happy[H]
