1. I have faith that grant isn''t the type of guy to just lie down in the boardroom! His passion, ambition and determination must be matched by the board otherwise he''s gonna walk like the rest of them.
2.
If the parachute clubs invest the money in a determined bid for promotion, it is true that the others are at a disadvantage.  For whatever reason we didn''t do that in the past two seasons, but that''s history now.
but what were the chances, seeing as we somehow got promoted into the holy grail and we DIDN''T EVEN SPEND ANY MONEY THEN!!!Im not one of the serial neggies and god how I want to be optimistic about norwich city but im really starting to feel our board, or certain parties within it, just aren''t good enough at their jobs to lead us forward. Now don''t worry, im not going to pretend i know exactly whats going on or that I have any credible solution because obviously, I dont, but as people keep saying "this is a business" and just like on the pitch it''s becoming more and more obvious that we can''t compete against our competitors.SO what now? Do we have to "stick with what we''ve got" and hope they pull it off or is there anything we as fans can do to help the situation? (yes HELP - moaning doesn''t actually achieve anything)
3. as ever, none of the alpha-negative posters have any answers
4. I wonder why he didn''t want to stay at a club where he was booed for the best part of 2 seasons? I take it everyones happy that this ''awful'' player is being sold then?   No.......?  People are just tailoring events to suit their s****y attitudes.  Good work guys, it''s really doing NCFC a lot of favours.
5. This whole situation is like breaking up with your girlfriend. You don''t think much of her so you let your displeasure be known. But then you see her with someone else and, uh oh, whats going on? I MUST be missing out on something.... oh no, the grass is wayyyyy greener on her side!!Its just the way it works, stupid example i know... but neither dickson or safri have been any good for the last 2 seasons yet suddenly everyone thinks they are our only chance at salvation. Get them both replaced ASAP. (and yes, i would also be very p****d off if this isn''t done properly)
6. Dickson and safri leaving?? This is terrible news, every week it seems to be 1 step forward 2 steps back. Sounds as if huckerby will be joining the board protest!
7.
Why are we having to field the Doc in centre-midfield in any match that we play in (whther it is a freindly or not)???
So he covered more ground to sharpen his fitness. Do you never read anything?

9. apparently doc was played in midfield so that he covered more ground for the purposes of fitness. apparently...
10. i agree that this was only a friendly and its nothing to get too down about BUT It does seem to highlight our lack of depth when it comes to defensive cover. I mean, from all the players missing, only one was a defender (otse, assuming colin is no more), so surely this is an obvious indication that our defensive cover within the squad isn''t up to the required standard? Personally i think our first choice defence is a glaring problem let alone the 15 year olds who will be asked to deputise in the inevitable hour of need.  Granty, I think you''re doing a good job so far, but this area will turn out to be a real hinderance, AGAIN! SORT IT OUT!!!!!!!
11. Experimenting with Doc in midfield...?Can''t help but feel that relates to the safri speculation....
12. has yours come yet smudger? oh wait, thats right, you don''t actually go to games.
13. if it leads to new players being brought in i hope we lose every friendly! Doc and Shackell water tight as ever!
14. I agree. The quality of the numbers is most important. Dont get me wrong, it would be idiotic to have less than 28 in this league, but if our first choice 11 are the only decent players then there''s absolutely no chance of building consistentcey. As far as im concerned we have got rid of 5 duds, barely worthy of the bench, and brought in 6 (lets say 5 because of the 2 keepers) that will be knocking hard on the 1st 11 door.  For me that is a huge improvement. We need maybe another left back, a strong, calm, experienced centre back (I''d like to see a little cash spent on this) and extra cover for centre mid, with or without safri. On paper, the prospect excites me. Best off season for a while me thinks.
15. from the offy site..."A full Republic of Ireland international, at his best the Doc is a massive presence at the heart of Norwich''s defence. A former regular for Spurs in the Premiership, Doherty is very good at reading the game and strong in the air. Has been used as an emergency striker in the past, and will want to get more goals from set-plays." someone needs to get fired for that one! the only thing he inspires is panic and confusion please granty, replace ASAP!!!!!!!!!
16. I sat in the home stand, city scarf and all, at pride park for derby vs norwich. no one seemed to care, every  single chant was about forest!
17. I feel the same a lot of people on this board forget (or don''t realise..) that delia sacrificed a lot of money making oppurtunities to make this club stable.
18.

I think PG loves a tinker. He loves formations, handing jobs out to players, asking them to understand the game and affect it during its course. What you are seeing is a lack of predictability. Who knows how all these parts are going to fit into the team! PG clearly wants to force the issue on the opposition and I think he will mix it up a lot. Now, whether that will hinder us being consistant, whether the players will fully understand, is a big question mark. But PG is trying to bring in a squad which he feels can adapt and assist his coaching and management style. The only way we''ll be successful under him, is if he works with players who can do as he says. Let''s hope that happens...
if he starts playing people out of position again, dropping our best players, picking stupid teams and formtions and the usual crap he did last year, he will do just as sh** a job next season as he did last season IMO.   ie Zero Improvement.
but now he won''t need to play players out of position because..SHOCK HORROR..we seem to have stumbled upon a SQUAD for the first time in 3 years!!!!!!! Well done Mr Grant.
19.

Funny cluck, you claim to have a "real life" but yet manage to notch at least 8 posts a day...
Mmmmmmm....maybe my mind works quicker than most...and also I''m not trying to impress my little chummies with protracted garbage all the time. It helps.... Sooooooooo.....this post...30 seconds multiplied by 8 equals 4 minutes.  Jeez...how do I fit it all in?
+ reading every backlog + the time taken for mods to read and update = a guy on here pretty much all day. nice one pal! The time it takes on this forum I couldnt make 8 posts a day if I tried!
20.
Think all those who had Doc and his number on the back of his shirt would moan if he changed numbers.
Yes, wouldn''t want to piss off that majority!
21. How petty. Its an exciting week to be a norwich city fan, try and enjoy it!
