1. I have been off this very exciting forum since before christmas due to going back home for christmas from uni. As i see moral is still as low as i left, with good reason i add, so i was wondering how everyone''s new year and christmas''s were? also i found out today a storyline in neighbours coming up which some may feel is more damaging than having Gary Doherty in our defence. In Australia they have just aired an episode where... TOADIE DIES!!!!. I know, i''m sorry everyone. I don''t like being the barer of this news but hopefully this will help us all take in the bigger picture and to not let the poor performances lose sight of the important things in life. Thanks for your time
2. I would love to see Martin given a chance and Eagle a longer run in the team. When eagle has played he looked like he wanted to play the ball on the floor. It would be really cool to see that sort of football back at carrow road... oh how i love to dream. With the inclusion of eagle at maybe left mid (i think thats his favoured?) it would leave huckerby to finally go upfront and into his natural position
3. Stoke have to be higher than that. They are by far the form team at the moment. The only team to really rip us apart this season
4. If he was still here we could have had Jack and the Peter Crouch.
5. Matt Jackson? are you sure. I think when we let him go we lost one of our best natural captains? He had the same leadership qualities as Malky. Can i place Keith Briggs in the fold for defenders?
6. If 1500 posts doesnt get you in then i''m f*****
7. He had the one two with shackell which was the best move of the game and was good at the set peices. He wasn''t amazing but he did far better than huckerby or the rest of the midfield. He didn''t touch the ball much but that was because of the poor style of football played at the end of the game (hoofball) but when he did get it he actually did something with it.
8. I wouldnt leave out Etuhu. Agree with the rest. Just feel when Etuhu plays in the middle with safri we is far better. It''s difficult to play in the middle with weak links like he had to today. Our youth couldnt have done any worse than they did today. Please try youth
9. It looked painful and he did look in serious pain. I dont think you would go off on your debut unless you knew it was something serious.
10. There is a pub near me called The Anchor. I know the landlord so we watched it in there. where did you watch it? My two ipswich mates loved it. And i dont think it is unfair on Docherty at all. The midfield were awful but the way he is so easily turned is embarrasing. Even my ipswich mates were singling him out as being awful. At no point was it an impressive but of skill that threw him, it was just him being bad.
11. Eagle looked good when he came on, actually kept the ball on the floor
12. Hi, this doesn''t mean to sound critical of Grant because he hasn''t had time to bring any of his own players in. However, saying this, after watching the game on sky (due to being a student i can''t afford or get to carrow Road) i found there was little or no difference in the standard of football since the Burnley game. Just wondering if it has been the same since then or this has just been a bad performance in the middle of a big improvement. Gutted to see the Doc playing (he was turned so easily, constantly) but have to say Chadwick did look impressive. Also, when appointed Grant promised passing football, today i saw nothing apart from the ugliest long ball team i have see for a while, apart from sheffield United obviously. Impressed with eagle though, had some good touches and kept the ball on the floor. Today was a prime example from Ipswich of why you should play youth. If he doesn''t want to play Dion play Spillane instead, just not The Doc! Opinions people?
13. Have you changed your name. You were one of the few that had a creative feel around your writing and used to enjoy your posts. I feel posts can become slightly too serious on this board. I say this but i still check it 10 times a day. forever yours my darlings master mwah
14. I hear the Ipswich goalkeeper is scared of Jaffa Cakes. We should all take a tub of them. Also most people find a group of Geordies (believe it is a Pack of Geordies) quite intimidating so maybe we should all take a couple of byker grove actors.
15. It was me with Henderson catastrophy but Tom can be known as the boy with the underperforming youth on his back (now i seem to have made it sound illegal). It is quite funny really, even get people asking me why i have his name on my back! I was tempted to have Briggs on my back (anyone even remember the flawless, enegmatic, commanding, tireless right-back general that was Keith Briggs)  but he got snapped away from us because we just couldnt cope with all that skill in one persons feet.
16.

Does anyone here live in Lincoln? I''ve just noticed the kick off for sunday is 11:30 and was wondering if anyone knows what pubs are open that early? I am a student so technically i should know this. Sorry for not being an architype student leading the way. I drink lots of tea though
Hay Master, I am also a student in Lincoln too! What course do you do? I''d be suprised if The Shed wasn''t showing it, after that maybe Walkabout? Do you know anyone who lives in the Junxion or the Pavillons because they get Sky included, you could steal their lounge for 2 hours on a sunday!
Awesome. I was kind of hoping scream would be open because thats always a fairly good place to watch it. I am a 3rd year studying media production like most of the people at this uni it seems. You will spot me around because i think i''m the only person to have the name Henderson printed on my back for the simple fact i felt sorry for him for being a bit rubbish which is now regrettable. What are you studying? You watching it in The Shed? Im also gonig to be watching it with my two mates that are Ipswich fans which will be fun

18. Hey, thanks everyone for the amazing replies, its nice to see some pointless banter going on in these message boards once again. I have to apoligise to everyone in the fact i was not around in the 70''s (oh how i wish i was) but i am looking more and more like the George Best of the new millenium everytime i look in the mirror. Long live 70''s chic! (and NCFC)
19. There seems to be some discontent slowly building in this message board so i wanted to just say i like being a Norwich fan. We are good. Anyone who wants to be negative towards this message wear a tank top, it has put me in a very good mood today and hopefully it might make you smile as well. love you all
20. I cant see the reason of them being too young a valid enough reason. Gerrard became Captain young, Reo-Coker became captian when he was 18. The idea that Shackell or Etuhu cant be captain just because of there age. I believe both would be fantastic captains. I believe the title of captian would bring them both out of there shells. Shackell has the great potential of becoming a commander but won''t untill he is given the lead to. Also isnt Etuhu mid 20s? do you have to be past it to be captain. Also you cannot give huckerby the captaincy. this is foolish. A winger cannot see the game when it is being played. I feel I feel the new boys need to be given the main roles. The old players have had their time (Im not saying huckerby isnt our best player, just not a leader)
21.
lets be honest, the lads having a poor season, his positioning and marking have been shaky.we have been leaking goals and he needed dropping
I feel that the only reason he is getting caught out of position is the fact that Docherty is constantly wandering. When playing alongside a posiitionally inept player it is difficult to make your position correct when in your mind you have to think about covering. I feel we need to base a defence around shackell because he is one of the few people i can see still here in 4/5 years time.
22. Does anyone no why he didn''t play or appear on the bench. What worries me is that worthington feels the Doc is our best defender where infact the only reason he has to make so many last ditch tackles is because his positioning is appalling and is in many ways a poor defender. I feel we do need to get in another experienced centre back (under 30 though) that can command our back line. Any thoughts?
