1. whats the problem, heres how i see it Marcus Evans purchases the clubs debt, the debt is still there its just no longer on the club so no chance of administration, this 32mill will purchase along with the 12mill for transfer  87.5% of the club, this will mean that any money the club makes will go to marcus evans as hes not going to pay for the debt himself, so if they fail to gt promoted there financial status next year will be no better then this year as marcus evans will still take the money made form the club to pay off the debt, now heres were we will all be laughing, the deal is public therefore any signing they make will want as much money as they can from as they know its there, this is a bad thing as it increases expenses which if they fail on promotion will have a effect on the amount of money made, marcus evans will not be at the club long if they dont make money, as the clubs out rite owner he will also have the power to transfer the debt back to the club as he sees fit,
2. would love to see safri back if it was true, i mean safri and russell in midfield would be a good sight i think
3. whos happy and who isnt happy with gln roeder as managerjust yes or no answers with a little reason y u think hes either good or not choice for norwich, no slagging anyone off for there opinion no winging cos someones opinion is different to uresyes, cos hes gotta be a better choice then th likes of tilson, pulis and parkinson and we were not gonna get jewell as i dont think hed be good for us as he likes to work with a budget
4. recently i have made 2 mistakes which i must apologise for, firstly is the post about welcome home the royal anglians, this is a very risky thing to alk about and some peoples views are bound to upset others so if my post did cause any offense from other posters to poster then  im sorry and didnt many harm by it, the second is in a couple of posts ive made a moistake in who was manager of a club when a certain players was signed, this is a public apology about being mistaken and am rectifying that as im happy to admit when i was wrong, after all im human and i will make mistakesnow just one mor thing im a city fan till i die, it matters not who the manager is or the board are becuase my love for th club will never die and the club will be here when the people responsibl for the mess were in have long gone, on the ball city, return us to the good times
5. arther you have contradicted yourself you say that its a cheap option because he was out of work so no compo would be paid then you go make a remark about jewell being a more expensive option, remember hes out of work to, get the facts right before you make a comment, there was only rumours about his interest in the position, no one at norwich actually said hed been offered the job and that hed been interviewed, rmember he told the press he wasnt ready to return to football, and surely if he was hed go to a club that can spend a big budget that he likes, remeber he was sucessfull at wigan cos he had money to spend, was rubbish at th owls when he had no money to spend, im not defending the boards choice cos theres nothing we can do about it and protesting befores hes given the chance is just gonna make the fans look stupid, after all roeder said himself he intends to bring in loan signings and have a complete rebuild of his back room staff, hopefully that all the dreggs of the dreadfull grant era can be erased form memory and w can get back to what is important that is the beloved team we worship and hopefully we can get back to were we should be
6. why complain about the new manager, youre all happy to point out his failures but what about his sucess,  7th in prem with west ham, 7th in prem with newcastle, took newcastle from near bottom after a poor run of games then changed the defense when players got injured, stuck it out and got them to 9th, winners of uefa intertoto cup, ufa cup quater finalists, good runs in fa cup with both west ham and newcastle, bought in the likes of defoe into the game, and bought owen to newcastle, give the guy a chance, lets face it out of all the candidates who was theretilson - not proven at top level, relegated with southendallen - not proven at top level, jumps ship as soon as a better offer comes, fell out with board for lack of support at brentford, jewell - be realistic, no chance excllent manager, but not ready to come out of sabatical, successfull only wit big budget, bruce - never going to leave birmingham unless pushed, but would walk straigh into a premiership jobnewell - again not proven at top level, did well with luton but hardly any sucess reallythese are as you say th major names being pushed around th forum, i personally dont think this is a bad appointment.come on glen lets see what you can do and guide this ship on to its better course
7. i think this might b just a blessing, he did ok at newcastle, go them back into europe after they were being wasted by souness, he did well finishing 7th at west ham, he bought in some good players at both those clubs, after it was him that got owen to newcastle aswell as tevez to west ham, yes he didnt have a goot time in his first managerial job but hes gotten slowly better and given the right sort of team and a team that likes to play attacking low ball football which he got newcastle and west ham playing then hell be good, and isnt that what we want  a manager that will get the team playing the way norwich should play, ie low ball clean passing attacking football, after all thats we are better at.i say give him a chance, and good luck and lets show him why were the best supporters in the country
8. i have several, if you really want one done go do it, only u can decide, dont get it done if theres a ounce of doubt as if u get ti done it cost a fortune to have removed, i dont regret any of mine as my first one was my own design, my second was my sons name and my third was again my own design, i refuse to have a doodle tho, oh and avoid yellow, it fades far to quickly
9. i find this offensive, many of our brave soldiers agreed with you that this is a pointless war, as a royal anglian myself i agre it was pointless but me and my fellow squaddies joined up to serve our country, now ure probably gonna put spin on this but hey i dont care i know what i see and what ive done, ive seen my friends suffer injury from enemy fire pulling pulling these countries own people from burning nbuildings that there suicide bombers have done, they dont care whether its a squaddie or a innocent person they hit, i can tll you when you lose a friend who gets killed defending a family from there own countries people then you try and say that murders murders when we fire back, its is as it has been now military policy for all squadies to engage enemy with as few a losses of enemy life as possible, why do u think our field hospitals hav more enemy casualaltyis suffering minor injuries then there is enmey fatalaties,we go to war cos our country says so, we sign our lives away to the service of this country and we do our duty with the upmost honour and diligance and we do it wellmy friends didnt want to go to war they did because it is our duty to do as our chain of command says, as it has been since days before 2nd world war, we just cantg pick and choose what we want to do, if you want to blame someone for the way things are today blame politics,
10. think h might be implying that is this the person delia and the funky donky bandwagon are waiting for in th managers role
11. thanks mfor the welcome home but the oil joke is very offensive to myself, i have know these lads and thy did a extremely difficult job in extreme cricumstances and they did it very well, its not about the oil when your friends donate shooes and boots to afgahn kids and adults so they hav comfort to walk in, or they stock out a villages doctors with first aid equipmnt, or your friend loses his life defending those that cant defend thmselves,
12. right there seems to be a myth about jim duffy being a crap manager, lookin at some info on him, some seem to hav facts fairly right but also ahave the wrong impression, hes been manager of falkirk, dundee twice and hibs, with whom yes they got relegated but they also bounced straight back up under duffy, he never got falkirk relegated and yes dundee were relegated under him (once) but that was mainly due to there financial status, try doing some research and see what you come up with before rubbishing him as hes better then most of you think and certainly better then a lot of the others being linked (hoddle, ried, allen etc), at least hs managed top flight before and he knows the players, im not saying hed be best candidate for management as ive not ben to a game yet but hey not my fault, unfortunately my duty comes first, but if he wins games and does well then surely he has to be considered as isnt that what we all want, results for norwich, and many a sucessfull assistant manager has takn over and done well at various clubs,
13. yes deeply sad, i lost a very good friend out there, i feel sad that i didnt join them due to posting as pti  for training new recruits, many a great loss, but a very excellent job done, if only our footballers showed as much heart, it is indeed a great yet sad time for the regiment as they cheer those that return home safe yet mourn those that didnt
14. know his isnt norwich relatd but it cheered me up no end and it is norfolk related as you may well know from reading the edp well this applies double to me, most of my friends have come home safe, i of course talk about my regiment, welcome home lads, this is the only bit of really good news that archant have reported over the last 6 months,
15.
Just wondering if anybody else finds themselves getting bored and fed up with football as a sport - not just because of our current club and country situation, but because of the way the game is now in general.  Watching the rugby world cup is just affirming my opinion.  I know its often said on here about footballers being over paid prima donas, but compare these people to rugby players.  Rugby players get paid nothing in comparison - they play the sport to be good at it and to acheive very high levels for their personal satisfaction and not for their wallets. They are less in the spotlight and it''s therefore much less glamourous. They play the sport with dignity (getting up after being unfairly tackled without trying to get the opposition in trouble). They have respect for each other and the ref. They play for the club and not for themselves.  How many footballers these days actually care if their club go down - they would just leave! There are probably loads more reasons. I''m finding football less and less interesting as a result.  I do enjoy watching a good game of football, but there is far too much about the game now that annoys me, to follow it as avidly as I have done.  Don''t get me wrong - i''m not about to stop following football, just it doesn''t interest me quite as much.
i must agree on this, if footballers played with as much heart and passion as the ngland rugby team we wouldnt of rolled over against russia, i mean after there terrible loss to south africa in the group stages of the world cup anyone wouldve thought theyd be out by quarter stage, but no, the passion and heart of these players has seen thm come back to really inspire the nation, something which today was let down by these overpaid jumped up so called profesional footballers, the same goes for the norwich team, if they played with as much heart and passion no matter who was in charge then they might just not be in the position there in,
16.

Is it me or does this happen every time? we employ a manager, who no offense probably shouldnt have been there anyway, and instantly the fans get on their back and he loses his job! Its about time we maybe started looking beyond management and maybe look at what the board is giving the manager to work with? shouldnt have sacked worthington!!!!!!!! However.............Nobody has mentioned one time leeds legend David O''leary?? ive never thought he''s done badly at any team he managed??
With good reason... hence why Leeds find themselves where they are today!!!
yeah good manager as long as you have about 90mill to spend on buying players when you dont really need to as youve already got a squad that beats real madrid and inter, hi smudger, i must admit looking at your post uve put up on here over the ocurse of the last few weeks i have to agree with almost everything you say, this club needs a complete shake up, but i disagree with you on that its just delias fault, i happen to reckeon its the entire boards policy that is to blame, so delai and the rest of her muppetts on the board need to go
17. after reading some of the posts on this site i get the impression that theres a mixed bag of feelings towards the board and delia, after watching my bloved club go down the pan over the last 3 years i must say i am extremely concerned with the way the club has been run, i mean weve had 2 chances to get back into the premiership with parachute payments and weve failed becasue for soem reason those payments werent invested into the squad, now answers to be found why the board havent invsted intothe team to th extent of what would be best to get the club back to the prem, also more answers needed for the reason why we are so poor at finding the investors required to take the club forward, i mean delias run her time, sh no longer can do any good for the club and needs to move over and allow a breath of fresh air to enter the club, i must admit i hav to agree with smudger, cluck and arther whittle on the matter of the problems within the club and it all starts with delia, and her boards policy, i mean theres nothing wrong with buying a chap player then selling thm for a profit, but when you sell a player and dont buy a cheap quality player then thats a problem, so how is the problem of getting delia to sell her shars and getting a new investor going to be solved, any ideas
18. as a business man cluck you mustve had a bit of sucess, what do you think it would take to make delia sell, and do you think that purely getting rid of delia will solve the problem, i mean ive had enough of this board not doing whats best for the club, yes i must admit they have been very sucessfullat developing the infrastructure for the club, but that has obviously come at price to the team, they have literally past there sell by date, but i just feel that a cpmplete board room change is need aswell, how do you feel is the best way forward for the club,
19. i agree that if torquay can find invstment then why cant we, in my opinion delia is holding out, the longer she can turn down investers the hope is there that at least one is gonna come back with a improved offer, which i think is having a detrimental effect on the club, i mean its obvious she lacks the financial power to support the club completely, the problem is that every single bit of profit made is going into clearing the debt which limits the funding of the team, personally i think short term expenses which lead to a financial gain are well and truely acceptable, spending 15million to bolster the team is a huge expense but when weighed up against the gains of premeiership football its a risk that is required to be taken, i perosnally would like to see a investor purchase delias shares and clear the debt, thn simple all income will cover the daily running costs of the club and provide enough funds to sucessfully fund the team, NCFC is a football club but it is also a business, and every business has to be run in a proper way, but i feel the club isnt, ie minimised expenditure maximum income, at the moment expenditure seems to be on a par with income, and its having a detrimental effect on the club, come on andy and sharon, spend 20mill and clear our debt, its hardly a huge amount for you, and think th money you save on the debt repaymanets can go to boosting the team and getting us back to the big money making prem, its a win win situation for you, 20mill outlay for possible season after season of 50mill income, you say ure fans well do something that we all know you can afford to do and that a lto fo us fans cant do and thats invest, please
20. im curious, we all seem to go on about the need for investment but has anyone really thought about what it takes to actually buy out a majority shareholder, i mean theres two routes obviously the majority shareholder can sell his or her shares but the other method is for a person or consortium to buy at least 42% of th clubs shares and request a take over bid for the remaining share, well the latter obviously isnt going to happen as the majority shareholder hold more of the club then is required for some one to buy enough shares, so the only option is that the majority shareholder sells, now she or he can be made to feel as unfortabley welcomed at the club so it makes it almost impossible for her/him to remain in major shares so she sells, or she sells the shares to someone who can definately take the club forward, eg wolves, major shareholder sold his shares as long as money was ploughed into the club and team, personally i cant see as someone put in a previous post a brighter future even with a new major shareholder in lace that isnt a fan, this is because as stated the board has a policy,  the only way forward is for the club to have new faces as major shareholders, new investment, a completely new board of directors and a new board policy, however what invstment is required from someone new, well to start we all know that delias shares are worth about 8 million so first the layout is gonna be 8 million, that however doesnt clear the debt which we all know is at around 20 million, so the layout so far is about 28million, which if we all agree is  quite alot of money, then what, how much will it cost to fix the damage done to the team, i mean the infrastructure is brill, and its gonna make alot of money if the debt is clear,so roughly how much would be requird to completely overhaul the top of the club, in my opinion to get everything straight and have anychance of future sucess at least 50mill is needed, so anyone got that lying round and is a lifelong supporter who isnt gonna scoop every bit of profit out of the club for himself, which ufortunatley is what a lot of foriegn investers will do, the profts need to go back into developing the team and making sure the club runs smoothlyso debate please on what your thoughts are about investment
