1. Hogesar - I have the same argument with my boss nearly everytime Macs are mentioned. I repeatedly point out that if the Windows/Mac market share went to say 75/25 then the CEO of Norton or whoever would want a piece of that action. As Macs get more popular then more viruses will appear. As Apple close the loopholes then the viruses will get more aggressive. Its inevitable. That aside, I am a massive Mac fan and desperately want one. For the simple reason that they are the market leaders in handling design based software. For me there isnt a PC that can touch them for the same money.
2. The Italian Job (original not the crappy remake) Cannonball Run Smokey and the Bandit The Goonies Please Sir The Lost Boys Mad Max 1 & 2
3. I thought Morrison was excellent last night. A real handful who looked thoroughly unpleasant to play against. Crofts was also first class, good and promising times for Norwich City... England, I though Barry and Milner played well. Its Lampard thats the problem for me, I think he is losing his touch at this level. Good news is Wilshere shouldl be back in a couple of months and is an almost certain starter. Biggest shock of the season so far for me is that Downing looks excellent for both Liverpool and England. I have never rated him before, perhaps he is coming of age.
4. Great point Yellow Wall and in themost I agree completely. But on a positive slant, we have two very promising, highly talented youngsters who need football. I doubt we could afford to buy them, and I doubt the parent clubs would want to sell given the promise they show. In perspective, if we had 2 players of that talent as our own do you honestly think we would be able to keep them for more than a season anyway. I think no, the bigger boys would circle and grab. On the point of potential new players. I like the squad at the moment and I think it can only get better. Morrison looked a right handful last night. I think as the squad blends we will become a handful for anyone to play against. For the first time in my NCFC supporting life, I am happy to go with what we have got!! (Wouldnt mind a smidge of pace up front, hoping Vaughan will be able to bring that)
5.
Quotes don''t work properly with the latest version of IE either. It does on mine[:P]
Mine always look like this, spooky!!! DRGAF
6.
And whenever I quote people on this forum it doesn''t work properly. Anyone know what button I need to press so it works properly?
Quotes don''t work properly with the latest version of IE either. Don''t worry about it. Jealous of your purchase though, what did you go for?
7.
Do players really support teams in the same way fans do? For instance I doubt Hucks grew up following caring about Norwich at all, but now he''s as big a supporter as any of us.
Think Huckerby was a Forest fan growing up. And I am pretty sure most players supported a team as a kid. Your point is fair though, maybe having football as your job changes your perspective on the whole fan thing. Oh and totally not relevant but Paul Scholes supports Oldham and regularly used to watch them when he wasn''t turning out for Man Utd.
8. Sorry Andy, I completely disagree. They know precisely where the advert is at any one time, if not the marketing consultant they employ certainly does. They need to know this to guage effectiveness so they can increase/lower budgets accordingly.
9. Canarino is obviously spot on with his comment. But rest assured, the companies involved know exactly where their product/brand is being advertised!!!
10. See the argument is not bad for both of them. Its a personal choice that will be totally up to you. I have got both and like both. Although I will say that the PS3 is set up in my front room and gets used more for other stuff like streaming iPlayer/4OD, LoveFilm, Blu-rays etc than actual gaming. The Xbox gaming experience online is as Hogesar said streets ahead, that is why it has a premium attached. Buy both, save the hassle.
11. I only suggested it because I read on teletext that Arsenal and A.N Other had withdrawn from the race leaving just QPR in the hunt. I know QPR have their new money but this would indicate to me that Brum have lowered their financial expectations a bit. Chance for us maybe in a problem position. Loan deal could also be an option as I imagine that Birmingham would like to get those wages off the list. I personally like both players. Plus Davies will know Barnett from the Luton days.
12. Scott Dann or Curtis Davies to fill the centre back problem?
13. I would go with the ps3, blu ray, DVD upscaling, massive hd to hold music and photos. XBox is a great gaming machine, ps3 gives a greater all round multimedia experience. Plus iplayer is worth it''s weight
14. What about The Lawnmower Man with Jeff Bridges and Pierce Brosnan. I can remember watching it back in the day thinking wow, saw it again on (men & motors!!!!!) the other night and its truly lame. Perhaps with modern CGI they could make a decent stab at it. And my mistake re Mad Max. Still its quite a time since the original trilogy. Perhaps I should rename the thread Movie Remakes - And a return to forgotten movie franchises!!!!
15. I really think you should wait until at least the full spec of the iPhone 5 is released. Rumoured to coincide with the realease of iPad 3. Despite what the previous posters have said (much of which I agree with BTW) the iPhone is the benchmark to which all other phones are aspiring too. Its for this reason that I am personally waiting to see whats on the table.
16. With a current trend of remaking old movies such as the new Girl with the Dragon Tattoo films starring Daniel Craig, and the rumoured remake of the Mad Max films (See MSN for shots of the concept cars made). What film would you like to see remade and why. For me its a toss up between Cannonball Run and Smokey and the Bandit. Just think what they could do with modern technology and the wow factor of modern cars. Burt Reynolds should also be made to make at least a cameo in either film.
17.

That would be the same weakened Madrid side that still featured Ramos, Higuain, Kaka and Benzema, plus a handful of other international players. Really really weak.
Hence why I put it like this: "Weakened" Deary me.
Hence why I am implying that swapping 80m euros worth of Ronaldo for 50m euros worth of Kaka cant really be described as weakening your team. Deary me indeed!!
18. That would be the same weakened Madrid side that still featured Ramos, Higuain, Kaka and Benzema, plus a handful of other international players. Really really weak.
19. That would be the same Zaragoza side who beat Real Madrid last season. They are as good as anyone we will be looking to pick up points against next season so it was a good work out IMO. I thought we looked OK. I know its only pre-season but there were a couple of moments last night that if we repeat against quality prem opposition we will be punished. Wasnt hugely impressed with Morison but saw enough to think that he could be a handful when he gets up to the level. Would have been interesting to see what Vaughn could have added with his pace and skill as I thought Jackson looked a handful when he came on. Agree that Pilkington looked a great prospect, little but ginger in the tackle still but cant blame him really. Things that disappointed me most were Holt driftingto the byline, we need him in there hurting teams not crossing the ball. David Fox for all his lovely passing quickly needs to develop a physical side to his game and start tackling. Ruddy, good keeper just doesnt inspire huge amounts of confidence. I want him to do well I am just always wary he is going to have a howler. Big positive for me was Kyle Naughton. That boy does look a quality footballer and will be a massive asset next season, on either side. Both Martin & Tierney are going to have to bring there A game to get in ahead of him. I would imagine that is probably why he is here. And lastly. What a horrible, niggly, nasty little team Zaragoza were.
20. For those without an Ebay account just set one up. Its not complicated and it doesnt take long.
21. Dickson Etuhu for me. I always rated him as a quality player and he has proved that for Fulham. Plus Lambert would get him working at 100%.
22. I like the height and strength thing and agree that it is vitally important in this league. I think the one thing we are all over looking is that we have also injected some real flair into the squad. Pilkington and Bennett in particular. I think this is something that alot of newly promoted teams forget and tend to sign athletic players. Hence the influx of african players into the english game.
23. I dont think we need worry on the goal keeping front. Ruddy looked very capable towards the end of last season, Rudd is an excellent young prospect and will need to be thrown in sometime or another. And by all accounts young Jed Steer really is a potential star of the future.
24. Thats it then. 2 for every position and for me the squad is looking pretty healthy. Cant remeber us having this sort of depth in a long time. Cody is still here and has a chance to prove he might have what it takes in a very strong premier reserve league, I think he has the potential to make it and suprise a few people. Naughton will give Martin a good battle for the RB slot. De Laet is obviously a CB so thats 4 in that position. I dont think Lansbury will be joining and imagine him to be a make weight in a deal for either Cahill or Jagielka. I think Pacheco will feature for the Liverpool first team this season . There was the unknown german triallist allegedly playing in the closed doors friendly. All in all I am quite pleased with how its all gone and starting to get genuinely excited.
