Rather strangely Skybet  have shortened him back up to 13/8 fav for the job , bit strange after hes ruled himself out.

Yes i know they agreed a deal but i havent seen anything about Barnett completing the move since the window opened , would have expected it to go through in the first couple of days.

Has his transfer gone through yet ? seems strange a deal agreed well before the window opened hasnt gone through by now.

He was looking for some massive signings and got a few peanuts to sign Wilbraham , hardly going for it is it.

Have Burnley moved onto their next candidate ? no because they know Lamberts joining them .

This speculation has been going on since the weekend on the Burnley messageboards and they seemed confident even then that they were getting Lambert and even said it would all come to a head towards the end of this week . Its quite clear Lambert or his agent have met with their people and he wants out , best to ship him out asap and get somebody in to try and keep us in the top 6.

Closer to his family , plenty of money to spend , and player for player their squad is probably better than ours .We are an over achieving squad of mostly league 1 players , give Lambert the Burnley squad and a few million to spend and they would soon make up the few points advantage we have on them .

Town fans are crying tears of joy over losing their manager , we are going to be gutted at losing ours , lets hope Lambert doesnt end up down the road , that would be the stuff suicides are made of.

Just means if he wants the job he will walk out. Nothing in that statement about Lambert wanting to stay at City.

Malkys a bit inexperienced , ,Martin ONeil  is the only manager that comes close to Lambert in my eyes.

Poster on a Burnley forum reckons Lamberts agent met with Kilby yesterday 150% certain .

Lambert now 1/3 for the Burnley job , time to start worrying .

Burnley still have no manager , Lambert is still 2nd fav with Skybet at 3/1 and some Burnley fans are still convinced Lambert wants that job .

Think he will be gone after the semi final against Arsenal , Paddy Power are running a book on  Towns next manager with the big mover being Paul Jewell from an opening price of 20/1 yesterday to 11/8 fav at the moment.

We have plenty of strikers but only one who is causing the opposition any problems , thought that would have been our main purchase this window a striker who can bang a few in to partner Holt .

If he is just cover for Holt why the need to arrange a loan so he can be involved against Qpr ? seems a little strange and makes it seem we are desperate for him to be registered for Saturday . Cover or Grant Holts replacement  , as for people keep bigging up Chris Martin when did he last score ? strikers that fail to score are a waste of a position , we have Martin , Jackson and Johnson who fall into that category what we needed was a goalscorer to play alongside Holt .

Surely if you are told the club will be going for it and the signings will be massive you expect a little bit more than a 31 year old from Mk Dons , if you raise the supporters expectations and then sign this type of player there will be plenty of people feeling let down .
