1.

I enjoy your assumption that Peter Cullum''s proposed deal would have seen us in a better position now than we currently are.
As you seem to claim that you know so much of what is not general knowledge... one can either assume that you are a pretty mediocre PR plant on here... or my personal choice, a jumped up smart arse hoping the locals will be impressed by such deluded and inane speel... Deluded smart arse p1ssing in the wind is my role on this board
At last he admits it, oh, and spiel is spelt like this you lunk.
 2.

Lets just forget about Alan Lee , old ,slow and doesnt score very many and to boot hes one of the most hated scummers of the last few years , we can and must do better than him .
''MUCH BETTER THAN HIM'' Pull your head out of your back side for once and try a day without your blinkered views.
Alan Lee is absolute garbage and its about time people like you stopped craving for Ipswich  cast offs , you are dragging the club to even lower depths.
Oh well, I shouldn''t worry LC... we can''t even affor him or his wages. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear... all those poor gullible mugs who allowed the club to keep their season ticket rebates... [:$]
Smudge you''re right, it''s costing me nearly £7 a month, I''ll have to miss a Chinese take away every 30 days, what was I thinking.
 3. I guarantee whoever they are, one group of people on here will delighted /happy /OK /prepared to give them a chance, and the other group of people on here will be  disgusted /angry/ laughing / dismissive / not prepared to give them a chance.
 4.
The worst part about it all is that it didn''t just happen by accident! It was all part of Smith''s "vision" for the club and the sugary-isation of the brand to suit her media persona. I think it will stick now until there is a complete regime change and we''re no longer nice to play against.......
Do you honestly believe the detritus you put out? Smith''s ''vision'' and sugary-isation, you couldn''t make it up, well you could obviously. Two pensionsers have ballsed up a football club and now can''t get their money back, that''s all. I can''t believe the level of hate that you and and a few others have for her and the conspiracy theories and overblown plans and strategies you claim she has devised. She''s a cook and a minor TV personality, she ain''t Goebbels or Alan Sugar.
 5. Why do they have to spy him? It makes it sounds like he''s really small!
 6.

Paul McSmall will do well at this level if he can keep himself fit.

Did you ever see McVeigh play Wizened? I can''t recall what year you stopped going to watch football and just became an expert on the team through osmosis or ESP or whatever.
 7.
shortfab - pathetic post of the day re the rebate, well done. the fact that NCFC have 18000 plus season ticket holders compared to the probable average in this division of about 3000, yest it''s still the fans fault that we can''t compete in the transfer market eh? you need brain surgery - BADLY
I was actually taking the piss, but where do all the angry people, and you seem very angry, expect the extra money to be magicked from? We''ve spent badly for 5 years and we haven''t got any left and the people who oversaw those mistakes own the club and nobody will give them their money back so that they can p*ss off. However they seem the only likely source for any more funds unless Bowkett or poor old Foulger or Moore can be squeezed again.
 8.
well if everyone is happy that the fact is we are struggling to get players that barnsley and brighton can get . then it is a very sorry state of affairs .
I don''t think anyone''s happy, but we are where we are and getting angry, making naff statements, saying D and M should f*ck off, the new CEO shouldn''t be on the board, we shouldn''t be buying Division 1 and 2 players, we should spend more, where''s the money gone, I want my £7 per month back, the new chairman''s a puppet etc, with no real answers (other than administration!) or better solutions than the much maligned board are trying, and I''m no Delia lover, although I quite like Michael and believe him to be a true fan, but it''s my club and my team and will look forward to the next season like I have every year since 1968. Between Happy Clappy and Clunky Smudger Loaners I believe there sits thousands of supporters and that doesn''t include the hapless NCISA.
 9.

dickinson in talks with brighton . barnsley confirmed interest in lee . we will end up with no one yet again. this is the first part of our team that needed changing . we have not had our own striker who can score goals since the departure of earnshaw or ashton . we wont have a hope of getting out of this division without players whoi can score goals and they cost money . if we cant compete with barnsley and brighton then we have no hope . this is clearly what we have missed for a fair while now even roeder clocked this when dublin left but nothing was done . deals for a proven striker should have been tied up first and foremost. you score goals you win games if we have to rely on players who clearly failed to find the net last season we have no chance .
If only more people had passed on the rebate.
What a ridiculous statement , what have those who didnt claim got to show for their sacrifice ? more freebies .
You''re a very funny man, you make Smudger look like a close personal friend of Delia and Mike.

Stronger than last year , you are dead right , this squad will flourish in league 1 and we''ll be in the top spot come xmas.
That''s more like it loan, knew you would see sense one day.
If only we had more supporters with enough sense to see all this cheap rubbish will lead to more seasons of misery , you wont be laughing once the season starts .One thing to look forward to only and thats Bryan Gunn getting his cards.
I like your attitude, recognising that there are issues at the club and we have lower resources than ever, but instead of carping you come up with insightful solutions and a real ''can do'' spirit. Watch out Tilly, I say.

And I doubt if short fat barmen would even make it as far as half way. OTBC
I feared for a moment you had passed an opinion, but you added the ''doubt'' so that you could maintain your usual exam question style of posting. Discuss.
 13.
Fleeces???Did you say FLEECES???That implies they''re sheep!Here we go...
I clearly meant those ones made from recycled lemonade bottles or whatever with a zip. Don''t start loading me with your prejudices! I have great faith in the NCISA, they''re keeping a place warm for me by the barricades for when it all kicks off. Have you ever seen Tilly and Gerard Butler together? Suspicious eh? I understand that NCISA have already infiltrated Stephan P''s moustache and have a man in there full time feeding back key information. You read it here first.

 15.
Look at Scum, Southampton for just two examples, now both owned by ambitious millionaires. Even Leeds can outbid anything we could  muster. What have we got? Delia Smith and Bryan bloody Gunn!
Administration, Administration. So good they named it twice.

 17.

Given Marshall has gone and Clingan/Russell/Wes may go, I would not think that £350k per year is excessive even in League 1 for key players, I wouldn''t imagine Tudur or Nelson are on much less.
The average annual salary in league one is less than 100k per year, the average salary in the championship is just over 200k...... So clearly 350k is excessive in League One! It has been said that we can afford an annual wage bill of £3.5m, which is 10 players at 350k per year. All I can say is that this Hughes bloke needs to be very very good to be worth that. Maybe, just maybe, he is really good. Some players are worth it, but I cant imagine Nelson and Jones being on anymore than 200k a year.
I''m sure that you''re correct, you seem very adamant. Where did your get the information from?

 19.

Just to add... I think the board if they dug deep could afford one decent striker (valued at the 800k mark) but not two. to think otherwise is a bit silly.
I would expect one at the moment and twoo if we were to sell Clingan (as expected). We have spent nothing thus far and also so far the fans have invested more money than our board of directors (with or without the rebate issue). We know that Fougler has more money, we know that the new directors have invested little and what have Delia & Wynn Jones invested this year to make sure that NCFC bounce back at the first attempt? You are probably right that I may of ripped Jackson to shreds if we had of signed him from Rushden a year ago.  I however think that I would not of ripped him to shreds but would of instead ripped our boardroom members to shreds if he was the only striker that we brought in that summer.  I have nothing against us bringing free transfers in and in our current predicament this has to be done.  We do however need a sprinkling of quality and some money spent on a striker or two that we can rely on to hit the back of the net and offer a bit of a wow factor.
That last bit actually sounds like you might be going to a few games and are being relatively pragmatic about the situation.
