1. Cluck (The Special One)... wrote What you blindly see in your little Deliarite bubble isn''t what I am prepared to tolerate nor pay good money to endure.... Sitting on your hands and slavishly supporting Smith''s low grade tripe doesn''t make you anything more than a gullible fool I''m afraid... and certainly doesn''t give you any personal kudos. Being at a game simply involves the exchange of money and nothing else...so why the girlish moral high ground claim then? Unlike so many on here NCFC isn''t my "best friend in the whole wide world" without whom I couldn''t survive on a weekly basis (get it into perspective ffs) ... but I''ll no doubt be back at CR when Smith has departed... It will be me who chooses that particular time though ... not anyone else. Yes thank you... I will enjoy my stay in the sun and let''s hope the fish are as easy to catch out there as Delia Smith finds when reeling in you lot. However.....  I hope they have considerably more fight in them..........     Cluck for St Delia''s sake just be careful, if you fell in and were lost at sea this board would be hopeless and rudderless. Anyway good luck with the fishing, I understand tripe is a really good bait.
 2. I would be happy with a streaky 1-0 although opening days are often draws.

On their behalf can I just say, "you bunch of sad act happy clapping Delia lovers with no idea about football, grasping at straws and getting over excited about a load of free transfers, lower league rejects and kids. Gunny has proven that he hasn''t got a clue how to manage as he used to be in marketing and there may be changes in the board but they are still Delia''s puppets and until she''s gone nothing will improve" There, saves them all the trouble of posting. I think it was a joke mello, lighten up man. Take a nice stiff drink, and look at it again
Thanks BW, that''s all it was, not a great one admittedly.

Then along comes you to stir up unwanted friction. Give it a rest. Hypocrisy at its finest....You''re actually no better and certainly on level par with the people you so criticise. Let''s hug. Never claimed to be better, just different.

 8.
Indeed does the club seek investment or do the majority shareholders seek to sell up completely? (option 2 is clearly preferred) On appointment of Gunn, Crook & Butterworth the official site clearly gave the impression that it was on a trial short term type contract until the end of the season.  This trial period resulting in relegation was clearly failed.  It later emerged that Crook had an 18 month contract as I daresay Gunn & Butterworth probably also had.  Is it acceptable to be so economical with the truth with long suffering supporters?? If the club is not in an acceptable league position (top 6) at say Christmas will Gunn & Co be removed from post.
They''re good questions. I suppose in essence that all I would like, to echo what you have said, is that all Norwich supporters and not a small team of ''elite'' wannabes who meet with the board, are recognised as being vital to the club and that from now on, wherever possible we are not lied to or misled with regards to what the plans are for the club and, what are the KPIs by which Team Gunn will be measured?
 9.
Not criticizing you LQ but NCSIA can go into the board meeting and claim the representation of five hundred odd (sometimes very odd) members. So Tilly''s views carry some weight. Whereas the board can argue that your opinions are yours alone.
I see what you mean Yellow, but regardless of the 500 odd Mr Tilson represents, I have to date found  most things they have said to be reactionary rather than constructive and when it does make sense the communication is so amateurish and colloquial that I cringe. In addition some of the posters on here are NCISA reps and whilst it is only their view expressed, in most cases I don''t agree with them either and find them, too, as self satisfied but equally incapable of showing real charisma or power as leaders.  Therefore, whilst I do recognise LQ can be equally self satisfied at times and is probably the Delia lover of all Delia lovers, I would rather she took and delivered any question or message I proffered than the fleece covered, unreconstructed, testosterone fuelled egoist that is Tilson. Now I better think of a question.
 10. I have no idea, but I think on the next two Saturdays we will begin to know, as if it''s a full strength Wigan side, we''ll get some idea on how the defence and midfield will cope under attack and how, when we do get forward, Whaley, Holt, Hoolahan and whoever, are at creating and taking chances. Colchester will supply us with the challenge of a top half Div 1 team fresh from the break and will be the real benchmark. I would imagine after both games there will be plenty on this board indicating where our weaknesses are, still giving Gunn 3 weeks to fix it in terms of additional personnel. However, head says top 6 with a bit of luck, heart says better, but as my son said recently, "it''s so hard to be too optimistic when we''ve been there so many times recently and ended up bitterly disappointed"BWOD

 13. At the same time it was the first game they had lost pre season, so perhaps we are slightly better than the Palarse fan, who wrote this, (and many on this board) cares to give us credit for, we''ll know soon enough.
 14.
It is just changing times - there are very few football papers left.  Your Evening News will go, in time.  Down below 18,000 I believe.
The trouble, it seems to me, is that no paper medium can ever produce actual news and definitely not scoops as it will already be known electronically through TV, Radio or Internet. As a result newspapers are news for people who don''t or can''t use the internet or in the cases of the broadsheets and Sundays as they can no longer be news mediums they actually have to be experts who retrospectively explain, discuss and predict what will happen next on each ''news'' story, more magazine or journal. However for me this has been replaced with huge amounts of news and information about everything online, although I do still enjoy reading a paper on Saturday and Sunday before the sports events of the day begins.
 15. I hate that nobody sings, "we scored a goal" anymore, but just sing, "we''ve scored" and then start singing, "City". It''s like a hymn or an anthem, it should be sung correctly.
 16. So i dragged myself the hour and half train journey to Selhurst for the gloriously overpriced pre season friendly versus recently relegated and chucked together Norwich squad. And here are my thoughts on the game and ratings of the players. My opinion of the game was that we were outplayed and looked weak in nearly every single area. Yes it was a pre season friendly which generally mean f*** all but the same applies to Norwich. Whilst neither team were brilliant by any means, Norwich looked comfortable on the ball, created the better chances and showed examples of slick passing and in the final third seemed competent. Palace on the other hand looked s*** on the ball with DERRY being f***ing awful and as a leader was just abhorrent. Our main tactic was pass the ball squarely in midfield neglecting our only flair player in midfield in Moses before passing it back to the goalkeeper or centre half who then hoof it to the ineffectual Alan Lee. I did a sad thing (as was my boredom in this drab affair) and actually did my own version of player cam on Alan Lee for five minutes. In the five minutes he only broke into a light trot (with nowhere near the finesse of a horse) once and failed to win any headers at all. In fact he was taken off and replaced by Fonte (a defender) who then nearly destoryed someones face by the looks of it. Our problem seemed to be creativity. Derry is over the hill and never coming back again, Danns looked sharp at times but never really created in last third and Nick Carle (whom seemed to be playing on the right) looked out of place and kept drifting in and leaving us exposed and overlapped on the right. Anyway, enough of the rant and on to player views. Speroni- confident from crosses and did what was askedClyne- shakey in first few minutes and final ball week but competent enough.Hill- Did what was required and no more. Came of injured but nothing seriousMcCarthy- At fault for goal but looked okFonte- Cameo upfront looked better than Lee. Defensively missed few headers and got turned to easy for my likingMoses- Very good. Only one to run at defence, pass and move and looked sharpDerry- AWFUL, WOEFUL, PATHETIC. Lead by example unfortunatelyDanns- Looked good at times but lacked final ball Carle- Tried hard but played out of positionAlan Lee- Norwich got off lightly. Didnt run, try or do anythingSears- Looked bright especially when linking up with moses and the youngsters. Could save us this year!
 17.
I think you are probably right there Chirp, would be nice to have a financial cushion in case injuries hit us like last year.  Even if it is only to bring in loanees to cover long term absences at least we would not end up stricken.
Hello Mrs. Russell, you obviously want the best for your boy, we do understand.

That sounds exactly like William Hague to me!
You don''t know what you''re talking about really, do you ?
Sorry, I wasn''t being wholly literal Boob, I was merely alluding to Hague''s education at a public school being followed by a career in politics and rather enjoyed the irony of Cluck''s diatribe. I feel that I''ve let you down, I''m deeply, deeply saddened.

 20. Tangible Fixed Assets wrote Wrong about the snob thing.  I''m not bothered about what school the political leadership comes from as long as they are competent. Unlike some of you who go on about Eaton. As for my comment about Earlham Academy (ex High School), have you met any of the people who go to that school?  Do you expect 15-20 of this year''s output  to go reach the dizzy heights of the UK cabinet? I have no idea whether any of this year''s output will make it big somewhere, but you''ve already decided they won''t. Heaven helps anyone who applies to your company with the Academy on their CV if you are involved in recruitment. I went through the Blyth-Jex experiment of the 70''s and was sent there from West Earlham, but I''ve been reasonably successful despite a useless secondary education.  Not everyone from Eton makes it, they just have a Dad who''ll pay their bills if they don''t.
 21.

Glad you enjoyed it..... Fiddle away while the City burns.... and close the door behind you when you leave........
Phenomenally weak retort, even for you.
Whilst being reasonably unperturbed by Cluck and his retorts, which actually when you look at them are in two basic forms, "go back to your school, dreams about the club, social network site, etc and leave us big hitters to carry on the cause", or, " spot on Smudge, Butler, etc, my old mate, these other fools know nothing", I think the fact that he never discusses football is highly pertinent. Even Smudger can''t resist an opinion about players and tactics, whereas Cluck only ever talks about the administration and management of the club, oh and he mentioned Michael Owen once. He obviously knows jack about the game and is only on here to massage his own ridiculous self importance through a reasonably benign and occasionally recpetive media. Poor sad old bloke, perhaps he hasn''t got a garden or is sh*t at bowls.
 22. Jesus, let''s get it into perspective, with the help of 4 or 5 others he''s pulling a half decent squad for this division together it seems. I''m still not convinced that he knows how to manage a team, but here''s hoping.
 23. You''re a snob TFA, thought the NCISA was a broad church, obviously for you Eton can produce leaders but working class communities can''t.
 24. This was posted on Friday and I amusingly suggested he was wearing the ''want away'' kit, but you were all too excited about Grant and the other 3 to take any notice. Keep up.
 25.
tough one really, Dejan looked our best defender last preseason but injuries have really put his career on the back burner. I love the capture of Nelson, IMO I would have selected him as a fresh team captain ahead of Doc........if Askou was to sign with us I''d like to see Nelson and Askou at the back with Doc on the bench...........won''t happen though!
I thought he looked more comfortable on the ball than anyone here since Martin Peters, but I bet he still gave more penalties away last season than our much maligned Ranga Captain.
