1.
When you are closer to the inner sanctum of anything that goes wrong you feel bad personally for those involved and their families and friends. However, writing it down to earn money is not laudable and there are people being removed from their jobs in thousands at the moment who have not underperformed as Glenn and his team have, merely been surplus to requirements, whose families weep alone ,without it being recorded by a self important sports writer and whose pay off for no longer being wanted will be a fraction of Roeder''s. Let''s not feel guilty, the fans having failed the club.
Sorry that should have read, Let''s not feel guilty, the fans have not failed the club. We need an edit button.

 4.

There really does seem to be a lack of joined-up thinking on this thread.  Had Cullum not gone to the press we would not know ANYBODY has been interested in the club in recent times.  But as it happened it flushed out the admission that they had "several" approaches whilst they had been telling us that "nobody is interested in investing in loss-making championship clubs".  Now Cullum has been widely slated for de-stabilising the club (code for exposing how dishonest our board can be....), so who is to say that other interested parties have not noted this negative reaction and decided to keep their interest well under wraps? So we have a choice between sticking with a proven failed and clueless regime, or putting pressure on them to get out which MIGHT flush out interested parties particularly if the current shareholders become more receptive to compromise.  If pressure is applied and there is still no apparent interest then i guess we have to conclude we are stuck with them- but at least we will have let them know that we are not complete mugs, we care deeply about the club and we are not happy with the incompetant way they have run it.
Mr Carrow, do you think that Delia and MWJ are holding out for something specific, will hang on ''til the bitter end or would be really happy to go even if meant losing a few quid but getting out with their pension intact? I honestly think that they cannot be enjoying what''s going on and would be happy to get out, but nobody has come forward since the original Cullum announcement. Is there not some more amicable way they could leave or is it necessary to have First Wizard or Smudger die under a charging police horse, a tempting but not wholly acceptable solution for Norwich in terms of resolution or moving forward?
I think that they think that people who have issues with their tenure are a tiny trouble-making minority.  Have a think about their reactions to polite criticism in recent years.  Why would they think any different?  AGM`s are still tame, fawning affairs where dissenters are rounded on by fellow shareholders, "sack the board" chants were totally drowned out by anti-Roeder chants and apparently board members still walk around the ground on matchdays with little dissent forthcoming. I have absolutely no doubt at all that whilst they believe they have the majority of supporters behind them they will stay, no matter what.
I find it hard to believe that 2 people of pensionable age need this level of sh*t on a daily basis however immune they appear to what''s going on. Although I think they probably want more than their shares are worth I think they''d take a deal and get out, but as has been shown here there are few alternatives.
 5. It''s relatively low cost and they won''t be stuck paying off somebody who proves to be even less effective at keeping a team up with no players and no money than the last 3 managers when we are relegated.

 8. On my reckoning he has now done every job in the club and is now entitled to 6 sherry glasses in an attractive presentation box and a certificate signed by Captain Canary. What an honour.
 9.

Sorry, my mistake. Do you think if I changed the name of the thread it would get back on course?
Nah, this is much more fun; allows us to forget about the football for a while:-)
OK, knock yourself out.

 11.
Stop me if you''ve heard this one before................
It''s not that I am trying to be any kind of apologist for them, I just think they must be p*ssed off that they put all their cash in to City, f***ed it up, or had others f**k it for them and are now stuck with their pension in a nose diving basket case of a club.
 12. Wasn''t Worthy their worst manager ever before become a temporary god at Carra? Proud of lads etc.

 14. I know a lot of people really want the Smiths to bugger off and I too would like new investment and new direction, but it seems to me that they must really want to go but nobody wants to buy into the club. I honestly believe that if they could get out the club, not with a great a  profit but also not with a horrible loss they would disappear in an instant. Two people in their late 60''s surely can''t enjoy this level of stress and sh*t on a daily basis. I think if she could continue to have an input into the catering and he could just turn up and watch they would go for it.Whilst the Richest in Football Lists put them as being with £15m, a large element of that is still the money they have in the club, and whilst for normal people that would still leave them comfortable for the rest of their lives, I can see why they would want a bit of the money back, but I don''t understand why they would want to continue on such a miserable path with the club having no money, no success and constant personnel changes.
 15.

I''m sure a decent manager would change your outlook, a fading manager [Worthington] followed by two abysmal managers has indeed given us a grey outlookAidy Boothroyd''s appointment will be a change for the better I feel
No mate it wont.It doesnt matter what sport your in, lack of funds means constant failure iam affraid.Sir alex couldnt get this squad promoted, thats a fact, and he wouldnt be able to make squad good enough in the time managers get at this club.Iam not defending glenn. He had more than his share of faults. But without a board willing to invest at least 5 million a year on players will will never again see consistent success, flashes in the plan like worthy had maybe on occasion, but thats the very best scenareo iam affraid [:(]
You should read Alex Ferguson''s autobiography. His first job in football management was at East Sterlingshire. He took them over after they had finished bottom of the scottish third division. With no money, and about 12 fit players, he had them top of the league by midway through the next season when he left for St Mirren. The reason for his success? He knew how to build a good team, motivate them, and get them playing attacking football. The fact he then went on to success with St Mirren, an outstanding record at Aberdeen and steller success at United are to do with his all round brilliance as a manager. Money helps. But he had the talent and demonstrated it well before he got given huge sums of cash at United. Another Ferguson on the way up to arrive at Noriwch in the coming weeks would be an absolute godsend.
I think he actually got the sack from St Mirren
 16.

Iam not being funny here. But just what are all you lot celebrating about ?The fact that once again, a manager has carried the can, for much much deeper troubles at the club than were his doing ?The fact is, yes it was time for him to go.But why are we once again here at the same place for what, the 4th year running ?The reason is that once agin, we need the " new boss " effect to lift players and fans, to get us out of the s h i t.This " new boss " effect is well known, and once again, the board are relying on it to give us another season in the championship.Unless real investment is found, we as a club are deeply in the s h i t guys !It wont matter a damn who we get in as manager, he will find himself in the same situation as our last three managers, fans screaming for his head because a bunch of players are in a league above where they should be playing. In fact, i doubt we have 5 championship quality players in our squad. So just what do any of you expect from the manager ?WE ALL KNOW IN OUR HEART OF HEARTS, THAT CHANGING MANAGERS EVERY SEASON OR TWO WILL GET US NO WHERE UNLESS THE BOARD STUMP UP REAL MONEY FOR MINIMUM CHAMPIONSHIP QUALITY PLAYERS !!Thats something they cant do, we have been run into the ground, and iam affraid the only place is down.So think on in your happy joy that we have got rid of "rodent"Unfortunatly, he was the least of our problems.[:(]
Once again the usual losers fail to see a quality viewpoint when they see it. Well put and well thought out. We are an utter shambles clearly on the way down. The City manager merry-go-round is all too similar to the struggling lower league clubs who chop and change with the wind....when the real and most pressing problem is the desperate cook who is once more trying to save her bacon on the back of another of her discarded appointments. God help us. What was once a national joke is now a farce beyond belief.
I think you''re right, but, as I wrote elsewhere earlier, I truly believe that the Smiths have had enough and if they could get out of Norwich relatively cleanly they would, not at a profit probably just not too horrible for them, but there is currently nobody interested in buying the club and taking on the debt. Who at nearly 70 years of age would need this amount of sh*te?
 17.
- maybe idle speculation - and apologies if itson the board already, but cant see it   but have heard that the boards preference is for Worthy to return until season end only while we find a more permanent solution;  but if the Irish FA wont agree then there is a plan b of Rioch with Craig Fleming. All options are available immediately which has to be part of the consideration... Like the option of a short term stop gap;  with plan a far ahead of the stop gap...
Worthy wasn''t very polite about the board on SSN so I would doubt it.
 18. My mum has been asked, but it depends how busy it is in the Co-op on Dereham Road on Saturday morning, if she can be out of there by 11 and still have time to pay for her papers she''s going to do it. Expect Ron Davies to start up front.

 20.

so when is Small Fry Moore going to put his money in his pocket and buy the club then.. rather than "helping" out and no doubt being gifted a seat on the board in the future as a reward for his efforts...? Thanks for helping us sack Glen, Mr Moore.. but how about put up or shut up and actaully invest in the football club? Cullum signalled his intent.. why won''t Moore? jas :)
Jas you can be an absolute t*sser, the horse in question doesnt have the money to buy the club, so the fact that he has spent a seven figure some over the past few years on the club with nothing back in return, purely out of the fact that he is a supporter, makes the horse a jolly good chap. Puts the whole Cullum situation into complete perspective, since that bloke is probably worth 15 times more than the horse and has dont jack sh*t for the club but cause trouble. The horse has never spoken in the media or attempted to gain publicity for his actions, we didnt even know that he had paid for unamed legendary player until a year later. What problem would you have with the horse being given a seat on the board? If the Turners get one for a short term loan, then I would surely give the horse one for selflessly giving the club seven figures of much needed cash. Cash which has seen us play premier league football and will hopefully see us playing championship football next season. Show how about you ''shut up'', you complete and utter ungrateful c*nt.  Because the horse HAS NO INTENT.
Well said.
