For all their strengths the centre back pairing do not seem to deal with set peieces into the box well.  Ruddy will be a part of this but it constantly seems disorganised in there and the sheer volume of goals coming through this route is a disproportionate worry.  Adding players to the posts would prevent some but until someone controls who is marking and tracking what efforts on our goal will continue - too often we are second to these crosses which means efforts on goal.  It seems we conceed a goal froma  set piece every 2 games in 3;  tighten that discipline up and get a penalty area leader to sort it and it would mean 3 away goals will secure 3 points instead of 1.
Are we perhaps a reasonable Division One team, manager and backroom staff with a few player additions who are facing Championship sides with better dead ball control and more effective and challenging set pieces than we have previously encountered?

What a load of waffle about nothing..... and clearly an indication of what has gone wrong with NCFC in 2010.  Never mind the debt and ownership issues.... just as long as we have enough self important ''jobsworths'' to fill 12 irrelevant positions in a pointless organisation.

    Stunning.
I''m thinking of starting up a Not Interested In NCISA Association, NIINCISAA. If I can get Cluck on board I only need 10 more people to be commmittee (for YC) members and then we can all have a ''mass debate'' for 17 pages amongst the 12 of us while everybody else watches with increasing levels of incredulity.
What a good idea.Ninys for short (shortfatb)

Then I need not bother to read yours while you need not bother to read ours.

As Mr Chops is fond of saying " no one forces you to read it".

You don''t pay to be on here you don''t pay for the web space, so what is your problem?

If it is club related perhaps joining NCISA may help[:D]

If I had a club related issue, why would you and the NCISA be able to help?

People who give up their own time for the good of others are to be commended, but the NCISA has always had the whiff of self aggrandaisement for the ''in'' few, for me, like a well meaning Scout group or Re-enactment society with the same people at the helm doing much the same thing everytime but vowing it will give different results, when actually the association itself doesn''t matter at all and is merely there to sustain the lives of the key members of that group.

  4. I''m impressed that Smudger cares enough to bother. As an outsider it seems like some irrelevant occasion between members of a bickering family that I don''t know, nor care to know. How Many NCISA members are there and do they believe that this tawdry bunch represent them or their feelings about the club, whether in crisis or when being moderately successful as they are now?

  5. I thought it was interesting that we used their refusal to hoof it forward to our advantage by marking all their team when the keeper had the ball forcing them to just pass it around in non dangerous areas and then often kicking it out for a throw in go us. Secondly I think there was an element of conserving energy during certain periods of the game due to the intense heat which allowed us to play til the end.

  6. If it''s already been covered to death then I''m sorry but I can''t find it, Lee Croft going to Huddersfield on a 6 month loan leads me to ask 2 questions, would he have lasted under Lambert if he had stayed and what did Lee Clarke see in him while he was here that I missed?

  7. I thought that in the first half yesterday, McNamee was really disappointing, with him and Martin on the right they slowed the game down on many occasions and he rarely ran with the ball when we were going forward, usually stopping in an Otsemobor fashion and then playing a poor pass. Slightly better in the second half, but he''s no Huckerby or indeed Fox or even Donowa.

    In my very important opinion......

I feel the squad has prematurely "peaked" having gained their revenge on Colchester.  It was the 1-7 humiliation which was driving the players on to "prove" themselves.... that done they can now "relax".......

on what basis? Wiggins is still an unknown quantity, yet Lappin has deputised twice and has done a good job.

Plus we can''t transfer Wiggins onto the subs bench last minute, if you mean for Saturday then I think we should still go Lappin left back and give Hughes a run out!
Yeah, I meant last night of course. I figured that Lambert could move fast enough to turn the world backwards in a Superman stylee and put Wiggins on the bench in place of Whitbread.
