  1. If we can move Idah on then we should be seeking a deal for Kieffer Moore. Ideally loan till the end of the season
  2. I agree we should be getting rid now but can only assume the outstanding candidate for Knapper is Carlos Cuesta or indeed someone else currently in employment. However them getting a good look at our squad and also convincing some now to stay beyond this summer would be better than continuing with this situation. lack of quality out there in the free market - I would (controversially) say that out of anyone available I would personally have a look at Marsch , largely did a decent job at Leeds and pretty passionate bloke with an eye for attacking football. Don’t see Cooper dropping down leagues.
  3. I agree that promotion is realistically over for us, even if we squeezed into 6th place (which really would demonstrate how poor the league is) we would more than likely fall short in the play off games. If we miraculously went up this season , I dread to think how the prem league season would go given that I only think we have 7 players good enough for a champ promotion push.
  4. Are good enough to be playing at the level required for us to be mounting a serious promotion campaign. Gunn Hanley McLean Sara Rowe Sainz Sargent of the above, I think 4 remain beyond this summer. Sara and Rowe will move on and if Sarge remains injury free, he will likely gain significant interest. I am in the Wagner out camp and cannot fathom why we are not getting rid now. Financially it would seem getting rid now or in the summer will have little financial difference with it being a rolling 1 year contract. is the silence from Knapper et al because 1. they still believe Wagner style of play is what we can be successful with if we get our major summer rebuild recruitment correct ? In which case he is avoiding coming out saying this as to not be publicly saying the current crop of players are not good enough to play this style of football. OR 2. is it that Cuesta is his sole target and only available in the summer ? OR 3. Wagner is only 1 or 2 games away from being sacked ?
  5. Djed Spence has returned to Spurs from Leeds. Surely worth us making an approach for loan to end of the season
  6. Agree and I think we can kiss goodbye to any of the additional add-ons so £11m is the tops of what we will receive - hope he can get his career back on track
  7. https://www.nottinghamforest.news/2024/01/02/nuno-could-get-rid-of-11m-player-from-nottingham-forest-in-january/ rumoured to be potentially leaving this month, have seen twitter links to a loan move to Leeds with permanent option to buy. Would be a strange one for him to move on so quickly but then again hasn’t featured at all for them in the prem since joining i would have him back on loan but with all our CBs now back and Kenny playing in there as well I doubt we would make a move
  8. Would a short term loan for Omo be on the cards? Nowhere near forest first team right now so they might consider getting him a loan. Certainly better than Mason Holgate rumour
  9. Webber spotted at Old Trafford tonight - surely not in the frame for their SD role
  10. Some would argue we need to commence a full reboot and rebuild of the squad, mentality etc - going down the route of appoint a younger, more left field appointment instead of a more obvious candidate. some mention Jack Wilshere but any other suggested names ? Ryan Mason ? Jacob Neestrup would be an interesting one if we could tempt away from FC Copenhagen
  11. Whilst he got sheff Utd promoted , instant sacking and appointment is the sequel to Dean Smith
  12. Nathan Jones ? Jesse Marsch? Take your pick from this lot https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trainer/verfuegbaretrainer/statistik
  13. With Webber’s imminent departure and Wagner being his appointment, there appears to be a narrative calling for Wagner’s tenure to be brought to an end. if this is the case then it needs to be done sooner rather than later given the January transfer window and the need for any new head coach to get to know the squad and who needs shifting on. given the very little to no budget we will have and resources currently at our disposal , who do we genuinely think would take the job on and do a better job than Wagner? there is only one man I think I would be going for and that is Mark Robins who would be on your shortlist ? Doubt Hassenhuttl would come here, Scott Parker would want a big budget to spend so that’s a no, Lampard would be a disaster. No chance with Knutsen coming here
  14. Was thinking why aren’t we in for him instead of Jamal Lowe - hopefully they can get a replacement in and we can get this one done.
  15. Wagner dismissed having to go into the market for a striker - whilst Idah deserves his chance we can’t be running the risk of him and/or Barnes getting injured and leaving us short. young prem league striker on loan till Jan would be preferable to a free transfer striker
  16. Rashica Doing a massive yawn on this photo - delighted to be back training with us !
  17. Rak Sakyi apparently of interest to us. 15 goals for Charlton on loan from palace last season - suspect loan move
  18. Really is silly season now - we are being linked with Asmir Begovic along with Leicester and Leeds
  19. hopefully we get after the following :- - Lewis O’Brien - Hannibal (loan) - Shane Duffy - Max Johnston - Jamal Lewis
  20. More than likely a free transfer or it’s Tom Ince, with us triggering a relegation release clause figure. would like us to move for Hannibal at Man Utd who was on loan at Birmingham last season.
  21. He said that we would be making one or two more signings of the Barnes ilk which I took as age and experience related but could well also be a free agent. centre half is a definite priority with Omo likely to be sold and Hanley out till Christmas it would seem. not sure who is available though on a free that would fit the bill
  22. Mate has just messaged - Ashley Barnes kids go to same school as his and he has told him he signed last week 2 year deal with us. Stoke only offered him 1 year which would have worked better for his family staying there but he is definitely signed for us
  23. The stats I agree are indisputably favouring the removal of Wagner. The feeling of lack of ambition from the very top is what ultimately has to filter into the players mentalities eventually. Being a yo-yo club cannot be sustained . With the benefit of hindsight the sale of Buendia on the back of a successful promotion is the ultimate definition to the players that we lack ambition and are just happy to flit between the two leagues. trying to motivate this group of players whether it be Wagner or another manager to have turned this season around I think would have been a virtually impossible task.
