1. It was this letter that Delia acted on and fired both Doncaster and Munby.  Bowkett did not seek to join the board, but Delia asked him anyway and he said yes! I should have asked Mr Bowkett how many games he and Steffan Phillips have attended this season so far.  Or why the announcement that Roger Munby has been made a Life President has not yet been made.
 2.

So you are grouping the whole 37 years under one banner then?  I did not enjoy the period from jan 1st 05 through to May 06.  An awful period for our club.  Amazing how 37 years of "good work" could unravel soooooooo quickly.  Reminds me of Robert Maxwell or Nick Leeson. You are stuck in the past if you think using the word community linked to a football club is wrong.  Or perhaps the only people who should have any interest in the club are 20-30 year olds trying to fight each other.  It is amazing how many football clubs managed to survive through the 80''s and 90''s as kids were hardly encouraged to go during the 70''s. The whole point is that the football club is the part of the community.  This is the reason why most people believe they own a part of it and in turn are owed something.  When in true reality we are customers who pay the for the right to sit on a piece of plastic 23 times a year.  Or don''t you care about the club trying to sweep up all of the kids who would otherwise spend their football life watching Sky.  All of the catering and outside interests add to the cash the club has, unlike your mate Bob Chase''s numerous company cars and Hand woven carpet.  Do you care about your local village post office? (Only said to get a reaction......)
So ou think that NCFC is a social service intervention initiative? No wonder its gone soft. Dear oh dear. OTBC
Not quite what I said but nice twisting. I am not quite sure what you are trying to say.  You seem to by harping back to the past.  The world has changed and moved on, you need to catch up.  I bet Millwall and Leeds both have football in the community schemes.  If you are blaming our onfield performance in the last 3 years to the community stuff then you are wrong. Have a look how many leaflets there are at a Tesco check out.  Why do they sell Insurance?  Because they can, because they need to diversify and because it makes them money.  Or perhaps they should concentrate on only selling fresh veg...and end up shutting in a year. Didn''t you enjoy the run to the play-offs, the promotion and the Premier season?   However much you dress it up the anti Delia feeling is not even on the same planet as the anti Chase feeling.
 3.

Wasn''t Sarah Thomas the Norwich Model? whatever happeened to her? jas :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Thomas She''s not listed in wikipedia, Jas, so she must have vanished from the face of the earth.  I expect she''s got two kids, has put on five stone and stands outside the school gates puffing on a Marlboro while calling out for Talulah and/or Sonny to come over ''ere before she ''as to go over there.
Is that defamatory (sp)??? She lived with Greeno near Diss for a while, they then split up and she moved to London to study and become a nutrionist.  Last seen by me writing stuff in the EDP Norfolk magazine or such like.  Perhaps you could ask a member of her family...readily seen on Norfolk Cricket pitches all summer. I tried to buy her a drink at a young farmers party after the Norfolk Show in about 1995....and failed!

 5. Ah, the good ole Robert Chase 3 point plan: Get the finances right Get the ground right Then go and and win something Did not do very well there did he?  Failed quite badly on the first part.  Leaving a 7 million debt with a bank was genius. Remember 5 million in 1995 could buy you a Chris Sutton.....18 million in 2007 could buy you a Darren Bent. Still we were all loving that Canary carpet and the Norwich City radio we had - although they failed to contribute to the club''s income.
 6.
when are we going to get a descent keeper,he was at fault for both goals yesterday.bring back kevin keelan.
Have you actually seen the goals?  For the first Pattison didn''t get close enough to stop the cross, Pierce wasn''t close enough to the bloke who headed it, Marshall made a save and then Otsemobor did not react and let their bloke steal in. For the second it is arguable that Otsemobor was at fault again.  But what he was doing marking someone like Brooiker from a set piece is another argument. Apologies if I have been sucked in by someone posting merely for attention.
 7. Ah how the mists of time cloud.... http://www.sportinglife.com/football/cc_championship/norwich/reports/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/98/04/13/SOCCER_Norwich.html&TEAMHD=norwich To save you reading I wll give you some highlights: Norwich went a long way towards securing their Division One future by ending their miserable 14-match run without a victory with their biggest win of the season. and it came as no surprise when Roberts wrapped up the points with only his third League goal of the season after 57 minutes. (this game was in April) Subs:  Scott, Segura, Grant We finished the season with 63 points from 46 games.   No I am not saying I wanted hime to go, infact quite the opposite.  I am simply fed up with facts being ignored because of misty eyed sentiment or rage. I remember the Radio Norfolk phone in the night he got sacked...outraged caller after caller.  I remeber the phone in poll on the local TV news where 99% thought it was tyhe wrong thing to sack him. I was at the Reading away game two days after these.  I even took black balloons as a sign of mourning. Howvere I obviously read the situation wrong as nobody in the crowd uttered a word in support of him or against the club. NOBODY said anything.
 8. Me too.  Rely on it for a bit of homecooked Radio Norfolk on a matchday whilst I sweat my behind off here in Bermuda. When it works it is great - live radio commentary for us exiles and the goals on-line within 24 hours. When it doesn''t it is an embarassing scandolous rip-off.
 9.

He was there at the game last night and didn''t seem to hide away from any fans who wanted to speak to him, not sure if  Chief Execs make themselves so available at other clubs?
Well all I can say to that is it is a good idea that he hid from me last night!!! [:D]
You really believe that don''t you smudger One of the board of NCFC hiding up from WHO ?? Oh yeh !  The self important mouthpiece of the pinkun forum who never supports the team, spends hours on his pc slagging them off (board, manager, players, fans, fellow posters etc). And you really believe that professional people will give you the time of day ? YEH RIGHT !!
I also belive that after our last chat I would not give him the time of day either... so I can assure you the feeling is mutual. Instead of cosying up to him and the Wooly Flock... I would probably have thrown my half eaten bacon roll at him if he had caught my attention and maybe shared a few of my verbal un-pleasantries with him!!!  [:D]
I am sure if you had done he would have dealt with it in a highly professional and dignified manner, as he does in every situation, befitting the Chief Executive of a professional club.  .....................Either that or he would have gone straight home and spent the entire night posting about it to a bunch of people he doesn''t know whilst grinding his teeth in seething anger over something that is everybody elses hobby. I think we are lucky to have such a person at our club and think the access and answers we get are above the call of duty.  I am going to ask him for a job when I return to the UK! - so he has a passion for the club and chooses to support and help the club in a contructive manner...interesting concept.
 10. You do yourself no favours - the man''s name is Doncaster. How do you think he came across in the webchat?  Personally I thought he came across excellently.  He certainly showed why he wears a tie for work and does a job we would all want.......rather than sitting in his pants posting for the 15th time of the day at after midnight to a faceless website.  Before you retort.....it is only 9.45pm here....4 hour time difference.....and I am fully clothed.
 11. So we can offer to pay 1 million for him now and give both him and West Ham more money if we go up - but if he demands a release fee clause incase he has a good season and we fail to get promoted...then we should brand him and West Ham the anti-christ and tell him we don''t want him. Paying more on promotion and release causes are both calculated gambles...on both sides.   A win-win agreement - look it up in the management textbooks.
 12. How is a dividing wall going to help? You have been watching too much Changing Rooms!
 13. Why do you have such a chip?  Why all this Londoner baiting?  Do you truly believe that we are now overrun by new age fans? Or is it that many Norfolk born people with the invention of the motor car can now work in other parts of the country/world...not having to resort to a life of Norfolkness that we all get so derided by. Or is this a veiled attack on the types of fans who can now enoy football rather than being scared off by thugs fighting each other and tearing up towns over a football match. I really do not want to resort to personal facts to refute all your allegations - but I do not believe you have the crux of this argument right.  Isn''t it refreshing to have a board of people who are all Norwich fans representing us and the club?  Do you think Milan Mandaric will buy a new scarf..... or can he make do with his Portsmounth one because Leicester play in blue as well.
 14.

Smudger...I''m surprised you even answered this sad little apologists exercise...and even more sad that you are prepared to stand up and fight for this lot. CA has sucked out the usual band of weaklings who would sit and watch Ipswich play if they wore yellow shirts...and they really are best left to fall flat on their faces. Internet nerds who live virtual lives from the comfort of a shoebox. I suggest you do like me...let the sheep take the club down the river to the point where they all bail out...and you, me and the other true club supporters can then return to scrape up the mess. We have Yanks bleating from across the Atlantic (he really has his finger on the pulse doesn''t he?)...Pompous Londoners who can''t resist sticking their snouts into another person''s business (we''ve all seen our villages buggered up by them haven''t we?)...students who''ve got more spots than games under their belts....and of course the "new age" spectator who can afford the seats the real supporters can''t. They are not representative of the City....and not worthy of your effort. The whole City fiasco a waste of time...and under Smith sadly the team itself doesn''t deserve a second thought. There are all sorts of hoorahs turning up at the ground these days...and in truth most of them would struggle to find their way to the ground if you dropped them in Tombland.  Little plastic figures sat in Delia''s cosy dolls house, moved in and out at her behest....and worst of all they pay for the privilege of doing so. Hilarious....but some how embarrassing. They deserve each other mate.........
That seems like a great idea.  You all stop posting on here slating everything that happens.  Spend all your Saturday afternoons in the Coach & Horses moaning and regressing into "Grumpy Old Men" in a self fulfilling prophecy.  When we get relegated / go into administration / or go bust........we will all go away, and you can fill the Directors box and/or dug out. 105 years of history.  The club was here along time gefore you were and will be a long time after.
The club will be...but the majority of the luvvies who nowadays sit in the stands won''t. When the balloon bursts (and not just at NCFC)...vast swathes of these modern trendy spectators will disappear....and the clubs will be pleading for proper fans to return. It''s the club only that I support..not mercenary players...individuals or investors. I''ll be back there when the gloss peels off the grandstands to pick up the pieces ....but I''ll wager more than a few currently on here won''t. For some of us this club is in our blood by birthright...but for most on here it is merely a trendy "interest". We''ll see how many will be left when we are down struggling in League One...as no doubt more than a few will have changed their colours by then.....and may I be so bold as to suggest Manchester United?...............
Well I suggest you support the club then...irrelevant of whether we have Earnshaw or Delia as centre forward. Your arguments are much weaker by your perpetual grouping and slating of Norwich fans/students/londoners/etc, etc.  I sense bitterness in your whole persona. One minute all Norwich fans are being muted as having never left the county and the next you are saying that most fans don''t have the club as their birthright.  What gives you the right more than anybody else?  I am disappointed by the number of fans that come out of the wordwork when things go well - but who are we to say that that is not their choice.  Anyway the last two seasons and the season tickets sales for this year have shown this as a non-issue. If you don''t want to go...don''t. Somebody else will have your seat.  Stop wasting your time on here with something that makes you so unhappy.  Let all the fans who do want to support the club/team/players NOW do so.
