1.
What about The Carrow Road Society of Justice?
If the name of the ground is to be featured then I thinkCarrow Road Association of Pedantswould be more appropriate myself.
 2.
Personally, I''m just glad I''m part of a little clique Can I suggest all those labelled as smart-arse, sarcastic, giggling morons like myself that we should have a name for our clique The justice society of carrow road is my suggestion
The Wise And Thinking Society is my suggestion for your clique, Buh.Of course you could shorten it by using its acronym?
 3.
The answer to your question is in one of my earlier posts. You may have seen it and then twisted it to something else and argued that.
Well, you''ve sort of answered your own question there Nige. If had ''twisted '' (another of your fantasies btw), then qed I''d have seen your answer and twisted it,wouldn''t I ?So, it''s a long thread this, so just to save me the trouble, how''s about you giving me a flavour of this answer of yours ? You know, just 3 or 4 games where we''ve dropped points due to booing. Was Brentford one of them ?It''d be nice, particularly as there''s another question (just to remind you the one where I enquired as to the whereabouts of the mass of clapping and support during the Brentford booing) that, as far as I''m aware you''ve failed to answer yet. 48 hours on. There''s honesty for you.
 4.
At the end of the day I believe the boo boys cost us points that positive support could have gained us.
OK Nige, if you''ve stopped the silly name calling (Boo Boy, Thickoe etc) perhaps we can move on.I know that you are very keen on people who are ''honest'' and can provide proof /evidence.So........perhaps you can quote chapter and verse on all these games where you can prove that people booing has cost us points . I am luck enough to be able to attend most games these days, and , for a start, I simply cannot remember that many games when there has been any significant booing during the game. Brentford..yes. but are you saying that , if there had not been the booing ,we''d have beaten Brentford ?
 5.
While I agree with much of your criticism Reg, I don''t think Nigel should be mocked for that. The length of time people have been supporters simply gives them a better perspective. It doesn''t make it wrong or right.
I''m not mocking him, Rick. Just pointing out that he has a tendency to use it to justify this often weak arguments . Then he resorts to the fantasy world (see above) In fairness, not something you do, yourself. Many of us have been going for 30 years or more, and you are right....we''ve seen lots of ups and downs in that period . For once I agree with Morty in that things are nowhere near as fraught now as they were in the Chase era. I guess the existence of fora like this mean that arguments tend to get polarised and magnified more ?
 6.
Only to dishonest posters like you Eric. The vast majority of posters on here throughout the whole spectrum of opinions are honest and a pleasure to be around. But you are not. You never address peoples points directly just change them and argue against your new version. I had you sussed when you were Eric pickles and I have you sussed now. I mention the 50 years when it has relevance to the point Iam making. The same as Ricardo does. Your dishonest spin of that just reinforces my opinion from above.
You always know when NN is riled, wriggling and people have sussed him out when he starts making stuff up and claiming things that he knows he cannot justify/prove.Just let it drop, Nige. There''s a good lad.
 7.
We support a club called Norwich City, sometimes we are up and sometimes down. You enjoy the up times as much as you can and grit your teeth and carry on through the rest of it. If you can''t take disappointment don''t get emotionally attached to NCFC.
What you say is undoubtedly true, up to a point, and on the surface, Rick. But, as I said in an earlier posting, that type of ''laissez faire'' attitude is quite simply not what makes your average football fan tick.  He does not go into a game or a season in a Micawber-esque state of mind hoping something will turn up. No, he has expectations, and dreams. It''s all part of being a football fan. To put it in your words...it''s just how things are in real life. And when things don''t happen to his liking, he gets disappointed . it''s not thowing toys out of the pram. It''s called frustration. And no matter how many times NN bleats on about it...it''s simply how it is and has to accept it as such.
 8.
No I don''t accept it reg. Do you people think everything is OK if some people have always done it? The mind boggles....
The bit that I''ve highlighted encapsulates your problem in a nutshell, NN. From it, we can only deduce that you find the idea that someone might, just might, have an opinion or a mindset that''s at variance to yours. In addition to your tiresome ''dishonesty'' rants you never pass by an opportunity to regale us with the fact that you''ve been going for over 50 years. Do you really think that anyone is impressed by that figure or that it gives you the right to blithely dismiss the actions of others as beneath contempt etc ?Of course you are entitled to support the club in whatever way you think fit. But, whisper it quietly, so do the many thousands of others who count themselves as NCFC fans.
 9.
That''s lame in the extreme. Yes to an extent it explains frustrated booing at halftime and fulltime. But not the boo boy player scapegoating.
He''s right though, Nige. The situation has been explained to you by several people on several occasions. But ,because it does not fit in with your narrow agenda, you choose not to understand it, and repeat the word ''dishonest'' like cracked record. But, that, of course ,is your modus operandi.
 10.
I am abit concerned to say the least
Well, I think there are a fair number of us to whom that applies; in fact have been concerned for a good few months now. There are, of course the ''happy clapper''/easily satisfied brigade who just go along with anything, but most of us like to scratch a little deeper.I''m pretty confident that AN is his own man, and if he finds players who are not pulling their weight, he''ll soon clear them out and replace them with others who will. So far, I like the cut of his jib. I do not suppose we will ever get the definitive story behind Olssongate. But, as you rightly say, the loan market (not to mention the transfer market in summer) will be an opportunity for the board to back their managerial choice with a statement of intent, and, if required, hard cash.We have every chance of making, and doing well in the Play offs. Let''s hope that the powers that be back the new manager to the hilt.
 11.
Nowadays you can''t get away with that so much as you''re liable to get a fat lip.
All I can say to that, Lakey, is that if you spoke to someone at the match in the tone of voice and lecturing stance that you take all too often on here, then, frankly, I''m not surprised they''d give you a fat lip........
 12.
Bum (sorry buh) who spend all day not posting anything of any value but just playing on words & making slick comments
To be fair Newton, he''s not the only one. There are one or two bad apples in this PinkUn barrel, who never actually post anything meaningful, but instead use this as a vehicle to run down the NCFC fans, extol their narrow, blinkered agenda, and lecture people on what they perceive as others'' shortcomings. By slick comments I''m assuming that you are referring to their weak ''jokes'' .  (That''s where I''d disagree with you...for ''slick'' insert ''stupid'').  But, as I say, thankfully, they are a tiny minority.Re Olsson...yes I''d heard that theory.  Could well be true, but I find it hard to imagine that, if all parties wanted the deal to go through, they''d have let a matter like a late arrival put a spanner in the works ?
 13.
That''s life I suppose, but I think that if people are seen as being unnecessarily detrimental to the team during a match, then every more sanguine fan should point out the error of their ways.
Aha. Now this is where we bet to the nub of the problem I have with all this. What right do YOU (or anyone else) have to start lecturing anyone about ''the error of their ways'' ?  Unless they are breaking the law, you don''t. End of.Fair enough, you describe yourself as a sanguine fan. I''ve absolutely no problem with that. I err on that side myself. But I still maintain that , of the 27 k or so who attend the matches sanguine fans are in something of a minority. A lot more like to wear hearts on sleeves. And that is an equally valid side to take. Or do you not agree with that, either?
 14.
Whatever, the club is now in a financially good position - which in itself is rare, if not unique in our history.  The only thing now is to get the team to look a bit more workmanlike and consistent, which even if we don''t get promoted, will mean things are on the up.
Lakey this thread has essentially been about fans. Whether they are right to show frustration, how loyal they are, whether it''s right to slag each other off, etc etc etc.The problem with your point I''ve highlighted above is  that simply is just not how it works for the vast majority of fans, whether they be those of Norwich, Chelsea or a team in the Conference. In the main we buy our ticket at the start of the game/season full of hope. Hope that we will win a lot of football matches and that we will get promoted or win some other silverware . Just some vague notion that ''things might be on the up'' does not cut it in the eyes of the dyed in the wool supporter. He is not looking for a ''workmanlike'' team. He is primarily looking for a team that sends him away from CR at 5pm on a Saturday with a smile on his face and a spring in his step.Where there is a modicum of truth in what you say is that over recent years there have been long periods where the above has been far from the case. It may well be that the Lambert era has left fans with unrealistic expectations. That is not for me (or you) to say.  But I''m at a loss to see why anyone who has contributed to this thread by essentially having a pop at large numbers of loyal NCFC fans is unable to grasp that expectations (and I make no apology for using that word) at the start of the season were very high . And the inescapable fact is that the club/team has failed to satisfy those expectations thus far. Fair enough, the fat lady has not sung yet, and thee may be a sting in the season''s tail. But, if not there will not be many of us who look back on it and fondly say "ah yes we got a workmanlike team which is on the up ".
 15.
Or would it be fairer to the idiots are the ones who post on here hoping for fair and decent discussion...............
Not really for me to say, LDC.Suffice to say, however, that it''s significant that whenever the same small, narrow minded group with a limited agenda appear on any given thread it descends from your ''fair and decent discussion'' into a slanging match , lies, and kindergarten level insults. No names, no pack drill........
 16.
Why can''t we be friends Why can''t we be friends Why can''t we be friends Why can''t we be friends
.........That is a fair question, Buh, but would be best addressed to those on here who think it''s acceptable to insult fellow Norwich fans by calling them, ''dishonest '', ''fairweather'', ''thickoes'', ''constantly wrong'' and ''idiots''.
 17. Flipping ''eck, Nige....that is backtracking  wriggling and rewriting of history of gigantic proportions, even by your own lamentable standards. So, those who show any sort of frustration are now ''fairweather supporters'' ?  God help us.As usual when you get involved in a debate it starts to go round in circles as you bring in yet another red-herring to cover the inadequacies of your view. If that''s the best you can do, then I will take Indy''s lead and make this my last contribution, as frankly, with you sabotaging it, this thread is going nowhere.
 18.
Thanks for that explanation Jimmy Smith, I can''t quite get my head round the "emergency" thing, is this clearly defined or is it just loose terminology that can be applied to virtually any circumstancs. On the face of it we have cover in mid field so it''s hardly an emergency in my view( even though Whitts played there last week, that being the managers choice) I had thought it was the sort of thing that would apply if you had injuries to a keeper with little back up cover for example?
I''ve always assumed, Jenks that, as all moves (inc loans) have to be sanctioned and registered by the football authorities (FA/FL etc), that it would be they who ultimately decide what constitutes an ''emergency''. And then give the green light (or otherwise).Or have I got that wrong ?
 19.
I wouldn''t be too disheartened if we just wanted to get the deal done though and we chanced it with the playoffs thing.
Quite. There are one or two folk on this thread who are displaying sign of trying to run before they can walk.Let''s just get to the playoffs first before we start worrying about who is eligible to play in them.If we can get Dorrans in next week, then it''d be all to the good and generally strengthen our squad.
 20.
which is why I''ve asked for some honesty...
Go, on NN. Just admit it. When you keep regurgitating this claptrap and accuse everyone else of being ''dishonest'' what you really mean is " you have a perfectly reasonable, well thought out view, but the trouble is that it''s not the same as mine ".Your failure to answer basic questions will have been noted by all, and your credibility is even lower than it usually is. Just stop wriggling, making the same old tired platitudes, and making excuses. The weakness of your argument has been well and truly exposed.
 21. The self styled ''Mr Honesty'' does his usual thing. Throws a lot of mud to cloudy the waters, then lies a bit, and nowhere does he answer the perfectly legitimate points and questions posed to him .Poor, poor display. Nige.
 22.
How many times is that you two have changed your tune! Now, apparently, you both agree with me but your problem is with the op choice of rhetoric. That''s rather like the original excuse that the booing and jeering of players and manager was really frustration aimed at the board. As I said. Honesty....
You can keep repeating the word ''honesty'' as often as you like, Nige, but it still will not cover up your glaring lack of it.Please refer me to the point where I''ve ''changed my tune'' (I''ve been clear what my criticism of this thread is from the start)And where I''ve ''agreed with you''.And where I''ve said that the booing and jeering was ''aimed at the board''And, I''ll give you one last chance to exit this with some credibility intact by answering my question ; Where in the ground was this mass of cheering, clapping and support at the time (s) in question ?  Perfectly simple to understand and easy to answer.
 23.
Yes there was mixed reaction. Thank you Indy. Perhaps you could explain that to Reggie who reckons he honestly didn''t hear it. ...
Oh for heaven''s sake, NN. That''s not what I said . Of course there was a mixed reaction. Even if there were 200 applauding the move, compared to 26,800 booing it that would be a ''mixed'' reaction. But as usual, you are being selective. You said that there were as many people clapping and applauding as there were booing. I am saying (and I think Indy , too) that was NOT the case. Period.I''ve asked you to tell us where in the ground this mass of clapping and support was, and, significantly, you''ve failed to do so.As I do not advocate booing, then I''d say that it''s difficult to say to what extent it''s influenced the outcome of a match, but, to me that''s not what is this discussion is about. For me, at least, it''s merely about whether it''s acceptable on this forum to describe fellow Norwich fans as ''idiots '' etc etc.
 24. As per normal, Indy, NN , whilst playing his tedious ''honesty'' card, goes on to be dishonest himself and making stuff up that he cannot possibly know.He implies that we are ''boo-boys'' . How does he know ? I have been honest in that I''ve said that I do not boo, but can understand those who do . How does that make me a boo boy ?He also implies that we did not actually attend the Brentford game . Cannot speak for others, but I certainly did. If NN refuses to believe that, well there''s not much I can do about it, but if pushed ,could provide at least ten people who could vouch for me.I can honestly say that I recognise Indy''s version of events. Most of the game CR was like a morgue. Indeed, I recall remarking to a guy sitting near me that there have been several comments on here referring to Portman Rd being a ''library'', but on that day CR was not a lot better. I certainly did not hear much clapping and cheering at the timers in question, and I sit very near the snakepit.  So where in the ground was all this massive support for managers substitutions, NN?  Because, no, I HONESTLY  did not hear it .For the umpteenth time, I''ll repeat, I do not boo our players during the match . This incinuation that you are ''honest'' and others are not, might sound very clever NN, but, unfortunately , it is not borne out by the reality. As I said before you are a past master in the school of ''do what I say, not what I do''.
 25. I''m pretty certain that Andreu will play a part at some stage, though I''d be surprised if he starts.AN may try Olsson at LM, though, with people like Tettey and Howson now back he is more likely to go for the tried and trusted method , particularly at home v the bottom club.
