1. I agree.Fotheringham and Lappin sound good as far as it goes, but where are the defenders? We are shipping soft, sloppy goals at an alarming rate;one that will mean we''ll struggle to stay out of trouble, let alone make any impact in this league.Let''s just hope there is another rabbit pulled out before midnight.....
2. What you say makes sense,Cluck, but it is unfair to say that the only ones who are upset by the current farce are those who reside in Norwich/Norfolk.I spend a great deal of time and money getting to games, and it''s money that ,like others,I feel is wasted at present..Whilst I cannot claim to keep up to date with all the gossip in the pubs and clubs,I''ve been keeping a close eye on the media/websites,plus updates from friends and family on games I miss. Even I from nearly 1000 m away could tell that Grant''s appointment was a mistake, that the DS regime had run its course, and things were on course for disaster. We all know that City will never be in the same league as the Prem "big boys",but the current fiasco means that for the forseeable future we are thge poor relations of WBA,Wolves,Derby,Preston, and (whsper it quietly) Ipswich.
3.

Consider yourself lucky Berks Canary. For those of us living abroad,we NEVER get web sourced commentary.Apparently do to some contractual nonsense, foreign web subscibers cannot get live BBC commentary. So I listen to Chris Goreham/Neil adams''s build up,and then 2 mins before KO,it goes off the air.Does anyone know of a way round this?
Don''t tell them you live abroad?!
Not surprisingly, living in France, and thus using a French isp,and an "fr" email address,it rather gives the game away.........

5. As my name implies,I live in S France, and as such get to about one third of the games.(didn''t go last night). My son who lives in K Lynn goes to the rest. We''ve held the ticket for 25 yrs,and I used to go to every game before my new life "a la francais". Most years I''ve had no problem with renewing, but the current situation, allied to the fact that thanks to Gordon Brown (and the French govt)putting up Airport tax flights back to Stansted are becoming MUCH dearer, means that it is highly unlikely that I''ll bother renewing this time.Part of the consideration in the past was that getting "casual "tickets was nigh on impossible. With the pathetic excuse for an administration/team at present, attendances seem to be dropping off,so soon tickets at Carrow Rd will be as easy to get as they are at Ips*it.Then, all my son need to do is get two,and if we are so inclined(gluttons for punishment) we can si together.
6. You are so right,O bald one. The sort of claptrap that Jurgen Colin is spouting is extremely dangerous.I''m sure the good folk at Nottm For,Sheff Wed and Brighton, have said much the same thing in the past. But we know where he gets it from. There are too many apologists for Grant on this Forum.I mean, not 48 hrs ago he comes on the telly and informs us that "the fact that we are creating the chances is the important thing".Now,after the Wolves fiasco,he changes tack a bit,and claims that "its no good just creating chances...we have to take them". I agree that it''s not realistic to sack him at this stage. We are stuck with him.He may get some new blood in over the next few hours. They may be good. They better be.Otherwise we''re looking at League One footy come Auigust.End of......
7. You''ve every right to be sceptical ,what with the "comedy cuts" syle of management the club has run for the past 3 years. If some pretty impressive rabbits are not pulled out of the hat over the next 72 hours ,then I''d say that a number of resignations ought to be offered, from the very top downwards. What do you think?
8. You are right. It''s not acceptable. But,we must give him a chance. If his reputation is anything to go by,then Grant is going to have his work cut out. However PG has "talked the talk",and as is the case with so many things he''s offered his opinion on,how he deals with Brown is going to prove whether he can"walk the walk" as well.  He''s done NOTHING so far to prove to me that he can
9. I''m really not terribly interested in Wolves and their fans.More about how PG is going to raise a side capable of getting some pts against them (and Leeds).Sometimes a "backs to the wall",situation has brought the best out in Norwich, but am I alone in not being confident that it will this time?
10. With today''s overpaid, featherbedded bunch of prima donna players, its only a very special managerial talent(eg Wenger,Fergie,Gradi) who can continue to motivate them over a long period of time.I don''t even rate Mourinho very highly in that regard;that''s why he''ll be off toute suite. Worthless certainly isn''t in their league,so he did it for a couple of years and then lost the plot. For the same reason PG better get things sorted pretty damn quick. He''s got no excuse. He came in with all sorts of "I''m going to fix things" talk.Eighteen games(plenty long enough to at least make a start) we''re still waiting.......
11.
If we have no one else in next Thursday I may get worried... [H] Until then, I don''t think there''s anything to worry about... even Sir Alex is being given the run-around with Owen Hargreaves, and we all know now that the january transfer window is a time to patch up rather than rebuild.  One decent midfielder and I reckon we could salvage a mid-table spot... not ideal, but this season is written off in my mind.  Get to summer, clear out the dead wood, rebuild the squad and start all over again.  Not what anyone wanted when we got relegated, but it''s happening and whilst we don''t have to be happy about it, there''s little point in constant bleating... lets just get on with it and see what happens, eh?
Whilst I agree that there is no point in signing players for the sake of it (ie ones who are no better /committed than some of the dross in the current employees),in case you had not noticed it is now 5 days till the end of the transfer window.Take out Earnie(and to all intents and purposes Chadwick),plus the lads who''ve gone off on loan, and an already underachieving City squad is now PAPER THIN .If we carry on the current form level, make no mistake we WILL be relegated.Just do the maths.   It''s time Grant and the board got their collective fingers out.
12. Once Bosman came in this sort of thing was always going to happen. ie average players holding the trump cards and holding clubs to ransom.I''m not saying the previous system was perfect, but any system that allows the likes of the (very) moderately talented Mr Neill to act like this won''t last for long.
13. I''ve been having a peek into my crystal ball, and here''s what I see: After lifting the League and Cup Double,Jose Mourinho decides he needs a "fresh challenge",and promptly resigns at Chelsea.Abramovic decides he needs a man who knows the London football scene as a replacement, and appoints Alan Curbishley into the Stamford Bridge hot seat.Sven, after yet another"so near yet so far" World Cup,buys a little love nest apartment in Docklands. So as to be handy for his new accomodation,he accepts the Charlton manager''s job. Meanwhile ,it comes to the FA''s attention that the Norwich Manager,Nigel Worthless, might be looking for alternative employment, and thus he becomes their surprise choice as England manager. At the same time,Mourinho, who has secretly been very homesick in London, finds out that there are a lot of Portuguese people living in Norfolk, and promptly buys a house in Attleborough.Over a candlelit Portuguese meal she''d knocked up,Delia Smith meets with Jose, and offers him the now vacant Carrow Road job.Mourinho cannot resist the smooth talking Delia, and puts pen to paper on a 3 year contract. Messieurs Gallas,Makalele and Drogba decide that they cannot bear to be without their mentor, still less turn down the chance of playing in the same team as Dickson Etuhu and Andy Hughes,so take a huge pay cut to pull on the yellow jersey for 06-07. Remember.....you heard it here first.
14. The next few weeks will be a pivotal moment in Delia''s involvement with Norwich City.On the one hand she must have a business brain(why, otherwise would she have sold all those cookbooks/TV programmes?)Also there is a good deal of her hard-earned cash in this enterprise. BUT......the problem with having a "fan" ultimately in charge is now being encapsulated. It''s all very well when things are going well, but a different matter when things are not.Wearing one''s heart on one''s sleeve(lets be''avin'' you) and blind loyalty to friends simply will not do ,with,as you say,a state of civil war effectively raging amongst the shambles of NCFC 2005-6. Brave decisions are going to have to be taken.Otherwise, there will be a significant rump of City fans who round on her and M Wynn Jones. Then every last vestage of the good work that has been done over the last 5 years will be wasted.
15. I think you are right. It seems to me that people are becoming numbed by the tedium of it all. Living,as I do,abroad, and only managing to get to one in four games,I suspect there are going to be regulars on this forum who feel my view is not valid.Clearly I am unable to keep completely up to date on all aspects of life at Carrow Rd,but rather than it all melting into one, what I see is regular "snapshots" when I do attend games. The thing that has depressed me this season has been that on each and every occasion I''ve been ,things seem to have got WORSE(not better). The hoofing tactics appear to have got more entrenched,Worthington''s selections /tactics appear to have got more bizarre, the players appear to have become more disillusioned, and because of this the fans appear to have become more lacklustre. The last game I attended was Preston ,away,a couple of weeks ago,and this was ,without doubt, the most inept City display it has been my misfortune to witness in many a long year.To go for a full 90 mins without having a single shot on target was shameful. It was then compunded by this gem from Worthington......" it was one of our better away performances of the season".The mind boggles! Like a few others,I fear that yesterday''s result will serve only to paper over the cracks.Without endorsing it completely,I can see where people are coming from when they greeted the win with cynicism. All it will mean is that the board will continue to cluch at straws, when it is obvious that a root and branch clearout is what is needed.IMHO,the ENTIRE midfield needs an overhaul(with the possible exception of Youssef). The signings in this department have been a joke(Hughes,Etuhu,Robinson),and can Worthy be the only one who who cannot see we are not exactly playing to Earnshaw''s strengths? Much against my better judgement,my son has persuaded me to continue with the season ticket next season. It costs me a lot of time and money to attend City games, and,at present,I can see no evidence that ,come August,it''ll be well invested.
