  1. He is a great player.   I think when he went up and played against Reading he saw how well they are doing and possivly felt a bit dejected about moving, perhaps.   Fans shouldn''t boo him though. It''s the same for Hendo, he gets booed even when he plays well.   When will the fans learn, the players aren''t gonna play better if they get booed everytime they play. I think the fans are also being very picky at the moment, many sarcastic claps and cheers isn''t gonna help the players.
  2. did we lose against the mighty Sheff Wed at home? Yes. did we lose against the mighty Milwall away? Yes. did we draw against the mighty Crewe at home. Yes.   Anythoing can happen against Brighton. I woulnt be suprised if they scored in the first half, predict around 25mins, and Norwich cant reply to it.
  3. Always look on the bright side of life.   Rehman looked excellent today, he stood tall and won everything in the air. Johansson scored on his debut, first goal in open play for 10 months. Earnshaw looked pacey. Even if he didn''t have a great game, he looked threatening and is a good prospect for the next game. Green only let in 2 goals at home, rather than 3 against Watford and 4 away at Reading. Safri is back!!!
  4. we all chip in for about 500 euromillions tickets and cross our fingers. ask Michael Carroll for the money - he''s got nothing better to do with what''s left of it. get a russian businessman to invest in Norwich City FC, we need some charming from the footballers'' wives to get a russian in though. have a ''darren huckerby in your sunday league team for one game'' raffle. that could make some money, all we need is Hucks willing to play in the sunday league, for injury time. start digging for oil under Carrow Road. get Delia to start her cooking career up again. i am fresh out of ideas now, but i will think of some more!
  5. ask Michael Carroll if he could lend us some dosh in return for free meals at mcdonalds.
  6. hey, someones gotta lose, and at the moment it''s us. think of the turmoil wimbledon went through 2 seasons ago when we won the 1st division. we didn''t care about them, but they certainly cared about themselves. just because we r losing a few it dosent mean we should all go on a mass roit of the city and burn all worthy signs. anyway, it''s not worthy who is not styicking the ball in the back of the net. it''s not worhty who did not rise for that header that went past robert green. it''s not worthy who did not go in to that 50-50 challenge because he was afraid of getting hurt. do u guys really think worthy is to be blamed for all of this, or is some of it down to the players?
  7. i want him to stay, i think he deserves it. we r a family at norwich city, and if worthy went, it would be like losing one of the family. and in the EDP it said he is the 9th most successful manager for norwich city, and most of the better onews were pre-war, and around that time.   if u want to blame someone blame the players. i think ateam bonding trip would do the world of good. how about ''go-ape'' in thetford, that''s kinda physically challenging!
  8. we dont need any new players, we need the ones we have got to play well. i bet, in 10 games time, we wont be commenting on new transfer speculations and the ''should haves'', and we will be congratulating our players after another great performance. once everyone is back fit, our midfield will be more destructive than an atomic bomb! what about a 4-5-1, with ashton up front?
  9. how can u slaughter hucks after all he has done over the last 2 seasons. he very much jump-started r promotion season after a slow start, and then he was player of the season last season. i think if anyone is allowed to say they r tired, it''s hucks. i mean, the man is about 27-28, and for someone who runs about for 90 minutes chasing loose-ends he should be congratulated. i mean, i am quick, and in reasonable shape, and i am only 15, but i am tired after 30 minutes of running around playing football for my year at school (who have let in 61 goals without scoring!). i totally agree footballers get payed too much and that is a fact, but for people to say hucks should get another job, thats pushing the boat out too far.
  10. i have to say i dont think colin has been that bad, although the only game i have seen live was the one on sky sports vs plymouth, and they can make anyone look good that day! louis-jean is good but is injured, we have 4 right backs now, probably r best position at the moment for injury replacements, apart from goalie, where we have 4 internationals (one youth). i think gazza doc is player of the season so far.
  11. 2. green 3. drury 6. shackell 8. ward 9. safri 12. henderson 15. colin anyone else give some help?!
  12. when i said bellamy i didnt mean him exactly, i meant his era at norwich city, when he was there norwich were battling relegation. youve got to say, his best move was the one from norwich, and it gave us some much needed cash aswell. what about akinbiyi, he is doing great at the moment!
  13. i have to say guys, half these players i''ve never heard of, possibly because i''m 15 yrs old, possibly because they were truly awful! we have had some unorthodox loan signings over the past few years aswell. remember elvis hammond? peschisolido? cooper? i think the marshall era was the worst, with needergard, de waard, lee marshall, llewellyn, forbes, bellamy, etc. i cant remember them all, although they were all here 5 years ago. shocking. i think we have to thank worthy for our success over the past 5 years, from that to a premier team in 3 seasons isn''t bad going, even for good old norwich city!   p.s. check out my doherty chant!
  14. i''m suprised preston let him go, he couldn''t have been happy there. should be a great loan deal, probably permanent aswell. now we can play a diamond midfield.
  15. isn''t westerveld a goalie? we have more of them than chelsea at the moment, and they r all internationals!   what we need is a defensive midfielder, and an offensive midfielder. I CALL FOR A DIAMOND MIDFIELD!!! i know it didn''t work last season, but that was the premiership. get a solid defensive mid at the back, two wides, and an attacking mid at the front of the midfield. that should hopefully solve the problem of the midfield!
  16. gazza doherty should be the captain, and should be the first name on the team sheet in my view. i agree to earlier comments that gazza has improved when playing alongside davenport, they really r the best central defence we''ve had for ages. the sad thing, and possibly suprising thing this season, is that our defence has been better than any other part of the team this season. i think you''ll agree with me when i say our midfield has looked non-existant, it has changed more times than the chelsea formation. our attack is low on confidence, and our goalie hasn''t had any luck either. hoping our team can follow the examples of the back 4, especially the centrals, we should have a good 2/3rd''s of the season ahead of us....hopefully!!!
  17. ------------------green----------------- --colin----doherty---davenport--drury--- --worthy---delia----safri---------hucks-- --------wynn jones---ashton------------   cant do any worse!!!
  18. i personally think ashton has had a so-so start to the season. he has scored, but has missed some simple goals aswell. what we need is someone who can score when ashton has a lack of confidence, like he does now, but we have no-one else who scores on a regular basis. mckenzies workrate is exceptional, but he doesnt score as many as he should. we need someone who can pop up from midfield, ala lampard, and score when we r short on goals. this is what francis did for us, but with him gone, all of our hopes rest on ashton to score, which he is not doing much of at the moment. we need someone who can score as many as ashton. i see our second highest goalscorer this season is hucks, with 3. i am surprised he has scored 3 because he cant shoot for toffee. doherty is better up front. hey, thats an idea!!!
  19. i think the captains armband should go the doherty, as he seems to be the only one who knows what they are doing in the past few matches.
  20. i know many may disagree, but i feel gary doherty has been the best player for norwich this season by a mile. after he shed a few pounds over the summer, he is beginning to look his age(!), and play to the best of his abilities.   i am also suprised to see davenport hasn''t scored a goal yet, although he is well over 6ft tall! when shackell replaces him after christmas, we wont have a problem.
