  1. Totally disagree with this, my wife worked in a Doctors surgery for a few years and encountered dogs abuse for things that were not actually down to her, if she responded in the same way as Webber did she would have been given a written warning at the very least. Our friend works in a small, local supermarket, she has been given abuse by customers, again for things that are not down to her (most recently because the tills were out because of a power cut) had she responded like Webber to that abuse she would have been disciplined. I am not saying that I am agreeing with the nature of the abuse that Webber got, but I am saying that criticism of how things were going was rightly aimed at him as he was actually responsible for that and he should have taken his own advice and ignored the noise as many people in public facing roles do day in day out.........
  2. I do not disagree, we have a great training facility (although I will reserve judgement on Soccer Bot and we must remember it was the fans* who funded the redevelopment), a couple of saleable assets (maybe more if some of the younger signings turn out to be very good), but, at the time of writing, our on field prospects look a pale imitation of the two Championship winning years. *I know some do not think it matters but I think he drove a wedge between the club and the fans, maybe some of them who invested in the redevelopment are amongst the 20%, a fair proportion of those that renew their Season Tickets will be. So for me his legacy will be started out well, but went downhill, had a "muck spreader" player acquisition strategy (to quote my late dad when talking about my darts ability, one dart in treble twenty, one in one and one missing the board altogether),and thought he was bigger than the club.............
  3. Had the immense pleasure of staying in the Travelodge in Binfield many years ago...................
  4. Exactly, it is good to remember the good, the bad and the ugly of Mr Webber...........
  5. Ah the old "ignore the noise"chestnut, something else he was not very good at in the end.............
  6. True, and some people tell you to "ignore the noise" before doing the absolute opposite by making and abusive comments of their own, equally brain dead in my book...............
  7. I never sang the song but I agree with the sentiments of the song..............Stuart..............
  8. It is interesting what you say about Rowe, "enigma" is a good word to describe him. He could go on to be another Maddison, equally he could be another Cantwell (in terms of not meeting his perceived footballing potential rather than the social media stuff). I can see the quandary for NCFC, do they sell whilst Rowes stock is high or do they risk holding on to him only to find he does not progress any further than he has. Like you I would not mind if we sold Rowe to fund the start of the rebuild but would be extremely fed up if it is just a way of balancing the books..................
  9. But have the club got the scans to prove he has a broken hand, eh??........eh?? (Smiley Face).........
  10. I am not in the habit of lying or making things up. We lost 5-2 adopting a "pragmatic approach (what does that even mean!!??), so had we been bolder and lost 9-2 I could have accepted that more than what actually happened. I am sure others would have been on here moaning about it, but not this SOB.........
  11. 70+ places and three divisions between Man Utd and Newport. I accept we all see things differently but I would have accepted a 9-2 defeat against Liverpool if we had had a real go at them............
  12. Hopefully the money set aside for share dividends that are not being paid will be used to bring in a loan or two.............
  13. Do not ever agree with Keith Scott, but I have to say I am with him on this one. Man Utd knew they had been in a game with Newport, whereas it looked like a training game for Liverpool, if they had scored 7 or 8 it would not have flattered them..................
  14. ****, I was going to spend it on a large piece of cod and small portion of chips off the market, I will have to go hungry now............
  15. I am not on Twitter and can only see the response from NCFC, what did Mr Gallagher say?..........
  16. I love the FA Cup, an underdog gets the opportunity to play against and beat far superior opposition, unfortunately for Ipswich it was not to be today..............
  17. Hope they all stay on their own board from here on in............
  18. This board will be bin free today and probably for a good while after!!..............
  19. One team will win the game or two teams will draw the game.......
  20. Try being a Norwich fan working in Suffolk with a load of Ippo fans, you will understand it then (And I can honestly say I never, ever instigated any "banter" even after we battered them 4-1 and 5-1), they really are a strange, obsessed lot, evidenced by their constant appearances on a Norwich City message board.......
  21. Do you mean the bang average team with key players missing that you did not beat at your museum?.........
  22. Have you seen "Threads"?. If you want to live in a post nuclear apocalypse then good luck to you, I will take the full vaporisation.........
  23. I suppose I should be happy that I am too old to be called up. Having watched "Threads" I have decided that if it looks like going nuclear I am going to stand next to a major target to make sure I am quickly vaporised ............
